"So, when are you going to confess to Louis? I'm sure, he's gonna be so elated" Charlotte happily clapped her hands as she asked.

Her excitement is so obvious in her eyes and Brina sensed how genuine Charlotte's friendship is.

Brina shrugged her shoulders, little shyly. She did not decide it. Not yet.

To be frank, she has just realized her own feelings for him and didn't think this deep yet.

"I will wait for the right time, Charlotte. And, please don't tell Louis about this all right" Brina pleaded.

"Of course, I won't tell this to him. He deserves to suffer for the meantime, hmph!! And how dare he!! He didn't even talk about his best friend in front of his girlfriend, such an idiot" Charlotte dramatically said, making Brina laugh.

She felt Charlotte is similar and kinda familiar to her best friend in college. Even she used to talk dramatically like this. She couldn't help but miss all her friends from her college.

"Oh, I guess he deserves to suffer then. But the thing is we still didn't get enough time to talk about our lives and other stuff." Brina explained, laughing a bit.

She started getting a little closer to Charlotte after they cleared the misunderstanding between them. That is why it is very important to have a very proper conversation before taking a decision or judging someone.

"Hmm, are you trying to protect your boyfriend? Brina? I think you will become the over protective couple if you continue protecting each other like this" Charlotte teased wiggling her eyebrows.

Brina couldn't help but laugh.

"Well, I'm just stating the fact, Charlotte. Won't you agree with me?" Brina said smiling.

"Fine.. fine" Charlotte said, lifting her hands up, acting like she is surrendering.

"Brina, I am really excited to see you and Louis as a couple. You know? And, when will this, right time? I am excited and so curious you know" Charlotte asked.

"I don't know. When I think it's right to tell him that I love him. I'll tell him. But, now. I don't think it's the right time for me to say the words." Brina said as she touched the neck chain that Louis gave to her.

She wants it special for both of them.

Charlotte's eyes followed Brina's hands and zoomed on her neck chain.

That neck chain. Charlotte of course remember seeing it before.

If she isn't wrong. It is the same neck chain that used to belong to Louis's deceased mother.

It's one of the heirlooms she passed to Louis before she died.

Charlotte couldn't help but smile. Brina must be very special to him. Or else, he wouldn't have given that to Brina. Right?

Louis loves his mother a lot. So, he would never give away this chain he treasures the most until unless Brina is so, so special for him.

"Brina, do you wanna know about Louis? I must say that one day is not gonna be enough to tell his naughty childhood stories. He was such a troublemaker when he was a kid. I must say" Charlotte said while laughing.

"He doesn't seem like that though? I have always thought that he is well behaved, more like a gentleman. No? " Brina said chuckling.

Charlotte widened her eyes. "No way!!" she chuckled as she shook her head vigorously.

"If I may ask, Charlotte. Does Louis have any siblings?" Brina asked.

"Yeah of course. He has two siblings" Charlotte answered. "And, Brina we are friends now, aren't we? So, please don't be so formal" Charlotte told.

"Of course, I will!!" Brina agreed.

"Louis have elder brother and younger sister" Charlotte said.

" What about you, Brina?" Charlotte asked.

When Brina is about to answer Charlotte. Suddenly, Louis opened his door room and came out inside the living room.

"So, you girls are done with talking??" he asked.

He seems happy and relieved.

"We are done. Now, go and make that coffee for me and my bestie" Charlotte ordered, making Louis roll his eyes. He smiled at Brina and then walked towards the kitchen area.

"Louis was talking to his big brother Leo about our engagement annulation. Leo's words hold a lot of power in his household since he's the older one" Charlotte told.

Brina nodded her head.

A little part of her is still sad that Louis was not the one who talked to her about his engagement, or, his relationship is with Charlotte.

As if Charlotte had read her thoughts, she patted Brina's back.

"It's the first time Louis got this close to someone, Brina. After his mother's death, he never allowed anyone to get close to him, mainly women to be precise" Charlotte whispered, careful enough that Louis won't hear her.

This is still a sensitive topic for him.

Brina widened her eyes.

His mother is dead!!

So, it isn't only her who knows how the pain of losing parents. Even he knew that pain!!

"You are the first woman he got this close to, after his mother's death. So, it's natural for him to have that fear of losing you. And,taking into consideration how much he loves you, that fear would have gotten intensified" Charlotte explained.

"And, this is the reason why he is dead scared to talk about this kind of disturbing matters with you. He is afraid that he will lose the only girl he loves if he confesses that he is engaged with someone else."

"I'm sure, he would have tried to talk to you about that, but I think he was not brave enough" Charlotte told after some time.

Brina's eyes moistened.

She never saw the fragile version of Louis. He has always put on his tough and strong façade and supported her in her lost times.

She couldn't help but feel the strong determination to be his strength just like how he is her strength.

Charlotte smiled and patted her back again.

"I am sorry Brina. I have actually crossed the line earlier. I shouldn't have, but I knew that Louis would not be able to tell you."

"So, I took the chance in helping my only best friend" Charlotte told.

Brina laughed as she wiped away her tears. "No, please don't feel sorry about what you did. In fact, I have to thank you, million times for making me realize how much I love him. I am grateful that you talked about the fragile links of his life. So, thank you Charlotte" Brina said and hugged Charlotte.

Charlotte wiped away her own tears and hugged her back. "I am grateful that he found a perfect person to share his life with" she thanked back.

"Girls, are you coming or not?" Louis shouted from the kitchen.

And as soon as Brina and Charlotte entered the kitchen, Brina ran to him and hugged him tight.

'I will never let you feel that loneliness ever again, my love' she thought.

At that point of time, she even forgot that his life has already got complexed in her point of view.

True love will never be broken because of trivial matters like this.
