Meanwhile, there was a mini war going on in Russell's mansion.

Carson found out about what his good for nothing children did. Though Brina doesn't have any powerful backup to support her and prove his children as culprits, he still felt uneasy about this feeling.

It is like his sixth sense is warning him about the hurricane that might engulf him and his children into the abyss of darkness.

"Dad, chill out. She is just a nobody who lost her parents. Who will take the risk and search for the evidences to prove us as a culprits?" Nolen recklessly spoke as he continued having his dinner.

"Don't involve me in your stupid attack, Nolen. What if she had nobody to support her? Did you ever think of why she is this successful in running an orphanage? Haven't you heard the rumors about the man who runs the orphanage?" Carson fired up with his questions.

We can't just assume something without digging deep into it. We are not yet aware of who she really is!!" Carson said.

"Oh, come on dad!! That bitch would have been dead by now. I haven't heard of her since two days and no one in L & E knows about that attack. It was like, it never happened." Nadia said as she continued shaping her nails.

Carson, who noticed his children's reluctance and irresponsibility, couldn't help but slap his forehead in helplessness.

"So, you were saying that Brina disappeared into a thin air after the accident? Not even her workplace knows where she is?!" Carson asked his daughter, glaring at her.

"Uhh-huh." Nadia responded but soon got startled, after she heard her father's roar.

He is so fucking angry!!

"You both!! What do you think of yourselves?! This could become a serious matter and cops might make it as a missing case and investigate us!! Have you ever thought of our prestige?? What will others think about our family?! Carson roared.

"You don't have to worry about that. Uncle Robin is helping us in this. At least we have an understanding uncle who isn't impotent like someone here." Nolen scoffed.

"Robin??!!" Carson asked as he spatted out his name in disgust.

"You both have become stupid. Robin is a dangerous man who has his eyes only on money and power. He would never help anyone free of cost. I am sure he is trying to use you both as his scapegoats. Now, I couldn't help but wonder if Brina will be the big problem to us or Robin will!!" Carson said, totally worried. His forehead is drenching with sweat and his legs are shivering.

Nolen rolled his eyes and smirked and then he made a call to his uncle Robin, the local don of the city.

After a few minutes….

Nolen smirked as he entered the room. "Uncle Robin investigated Brina's whereabouts and he found out that she got admitted in the city's general hospital but died soon with a blood loss." he said, a smile blossoming on his face.

But little did they know that she would be back very soon and from that very second, their downfall would start.

They don't know that it is the other body and whatever Carson is worried about will come true.

Meanwhile, in the cabin.

The new couple were spending their quality time with each other, happily.

After Brina finished her bath with uttermost cautiousness, Louis insisted on helping her to apply the medicine on her bruises.

Though she was a little shy she couldn't help but agree. She has a few of her bruises on her back as well and her shoulder didn't recover enough for her to reach them.

And, when Louis started to applying the cream, his touch was so gentle and warm that Brina started getting addicted to it. However, unlike her, Louis was only concentrating on applying medicine.

He is very afraid that he would hurt her if he gets distracted. Keeping his fear of hurting her aside, he truly wanted to eat her away right now.

But Louis couldn't do anything but wait for the right time. Though they have become close enough, he wanted her first time to be beautiful and memorable. He doesn't want her to regret giving away her virginity to him.

Later, he changed her bandage on his forehead and gave an ankle massage to ease her pain that was caused by her ankle sprain.

"You seem so professional in changing bandages and giving massages." Brina teased while Louis continued making Brina do some ankle exercises.

She is really enjoying each and every second of this free time and stress free life with the man she loves the most.

He is pampering her a lot!!

Louis chuckled and started caressing her leg which is now resting on his lap making Brina almost jump. She felt so ticklish on that specific region of her leg and she couldn't help but pout while trying not to laugh.

Louis's chuckle soon turned into laughter when he saw her pouting face. He pinched her cheeks and kissed her forehead. "My stepmother taught me everything. Later, I took the training in summer camp in my teenager years." he said.

"So, your stepmother, is she good enough?" Brina asked.

"Fortunately, I got a very understanding and loving stepmother. She raised us well." Louis said. They are now sitting on the couch, cuddling each other.

Louis is baking Brina's favorite cookies while her bitter soup is getting boiled on the electric stove. They are waiting for their dinner to be prepared.

It's their first day here on the cabin but Brina couldn't help but feel as if she is home. Later she realized that this cabin isn't the reason for it, but it is because of Louis.

Her home is where he is.

Later, Brina and Louis finished their dinner outside on the patio facing the lake. It felt so peaceful and relaxed that Brina soon started to yawn.

Louis chuckled and carried her back to the bed, before making her lie down. He adjusted the pillow under her head as well as her leg.

After making her position comfortable enough, he covered her with the white fur blanket.

"Honey, I'm going to attend a meeting now. And, it might take long. So, don't wait for me and sleep obediently. Okay?" Louis said, before pecking her forehead.

Later, Louis went to the patio and started his video call with Daniel who is now in charge of attending meetings and taking care of other things.

He will have his own way of taking revenge on Nadia and Nolen.

But he will make sure that they will not find out who targeted them and why he targeted them.
