Song Dei Si have not seen Yan Mor Tee the entire day in the campus. He didn't show up to their classes after he deliberately walked out before the first class has started.

"That rascal, where did he go?" She scolded him on her mind but a tinge of concern flashes through when she remembered the bruises on his face.

The perturbing feeling she has towards him has deepen when he didn't attend their classes the next day and that has affected her mood.

"It seems that you're not at the best of your mood since yesterday? Is there anything bothering you?" A concern from Min Lin's voice can be heard.

She looked at her bestfriend and weigh if she will tell her that she was being bothered by Yan Mor Tee's absence. But she decided not to.

"Monthly period" she said instead.

"I see" Min Lin said with the tone of someone who didn't believe the alibi that she said.

"You said you're going to treat me to the Brooks Cafe when I befriended Jin Ho? I already did. Let's go"

"Okay, i'll treat you an ice cream."

"Just an ice cream?!"

Min Lin's laughed. "Sweets can take your sadness away."

She raised her brows and looked at her bestfriend with disappointment.

"So now I know that Jin Ho's value is only equivalent to an ice cream." She said.

"Whatever."

As they stepped into the Brooks Cafe, they have heard some noise from a group of teenagers at the corner table. They were having fun teasing each other. The chubby guy's loud voice was echoing the entire cafe.

"Really, so you saw this girl and stalked her until you've gone through a fight because of her? "

Song Dei Si's attention was caught by his statement.

"You must like this girl so much for you to follow her even at the slum area?" The cute and lanky guy made a follow up question.

"Nah. This girl was so naive walking alone at the alley when she knew that it could be dangerous for her." The boy said in a casual voice.

"Where did it happen?" The smart looking guy asked him.

"At Lin Do."

Song Dei Si was stunned when she heard him.

"So was it Yan Mor Tee the guy who saved him on Monday night?" She asked herself.

"Look who's here. My lady love." Tan Ji Nan exclaimed when he saw them. His eyes has twinkled when he saw Ho Min Lin.

"Hey! Join us!" Lee Jin Ho waved his right hand and instructed the two ladies to join them at their table.

They obliged. Ho Min Lin seated next to Lu Jiaosheng and Song Dei Si seated next to her across Yan Mor Tee.

"Girls what do you want? It's my treat." Tan Ji Nan asked them as soon as they have seated.

"Phew. This chubby guy here is making his way to please the love of his life. Yeah man, it's your opportunity to date Min Lin just let us know if you want to be alone here with her" Lu Jiaosheng teased him.

Ho Min Lin's lips have pouted. She didn't like the idea being teased with Tan Ji Nan.

"Shut up man," Ji Nan scolded Jiaosheng when he saw Min Lin's expression.

"I'm just kidding. Girls, order what you want, it's on Ji Nan." Lu Jiaosheng gave them a smile.

"An ice cream will do. This girl next to me has been on a bad mood since yesterday so I wanted to lift her spirit up" Ho Min Lin said.

Everyone's at the table looked at Song Dei Si's direction "Hey, what's up?" Lee Jin Ho's asked Song Dei Si with a concern voice.

"Don't mind what she said. Nothing much. I'm okay." She said smilingly. Deep inside she wanted to throw a punch on Min Lin's face for sharing too much details.

She took a glance at Mor Tee's face and she was being greeted with a blank stare.

"Maybe she's upset because she was not able to thank her knight in shining armour who saved her the other night." Ho Min Lin continously shared her story.

STOP!

She wanted to scream. This girl was so annoyingly talkative.

"What happened to her?" Lee Jin Ho asked.

"She encountered a bad guy in an alley when she visited her aunt. She was about to be holded up but a hero came to rescue her"

"Where did it happen?" Tan Ji Nan asked.

"At Lin Do."

All the guys in the table looked at Yan Mor Tee then gazed automatically to Song Dei Si afterwards. They have connected the dots while Ho Min Lin was clueless.
