Chapter 93: Talent Competition (1)
Translator: Guy Gone Bad
“Mo Fei, so you are here! I’ve been looking for you!” A handsome-looking man walked toward Mo Fei while saying so. It was Mo Fei’s art teacher.
Mo Fei looked at him and asked, “Teacher, what can I do for you?”
“Well, you know, the department competition is around the corner. I got five quotas for the talent competition and I saved one for you.” said his teacher faintly.
Mo Fei blinked, asking with a quizzical tone, “Me? Why me?”
Fang Cheng said deservedly, “You play the piano the best. Of course there’s a place for you.”
Mo Fei said hesitantly, “But my score is not so outstanding, I mean.”
“Your score isn’t outstanding because your singing drags you down. Forgive me to be honest. You really suck at singing. Every single word is out of tune. You really got the nerve to sing.” said Fang Cheng disapprovingly.
Mo Fei couldn’t help laughing hollowly. He didn’t plan to sing, but Fang Cheng kept pushing him and even threatened him that if he didn’t sing, he would get zero point. But at last he sang, Fang Cheng that heartless asshole still gave him zero point!
Fang Cheng then said to him in a very serious tone, “When in competition, never ever open your mouth, or you’d give the game away. But if you can keep your mouth shut, you would still hang in there.”
Mo Fei hesitated for a bit and said, “Teacher, I’m afraid I am not qualified for such a challenging task. Maybe you can ask find someone else. I can give up on the precious quota.”
Fang Cheng looked at Mo Fei, saying flatly, “Are you sure? There’re numerous students out there who made their names after the talent competition and all beautiful women would adore you.”

Mo Fei immediately choked up with emotions, “I’m in!”
Fang Cheng patted Mo Fei’s shoulder, “That’s my boy.”
Mo Yi looked at Mo Fei’s face and shook his head helplessly. His young master was too easy to fool!
After Mo Fei went back to Prince Yu Mansion, he directly lay on his back in the sofa.
Then Lou Yu came downstairs. When he looked Mo Fei, he asked, “Why are you back so late?”
Mo Fei said lazily, “The teacher asked me to talk about something.”
Lou Yu narrowed his eyes and asked curiously, “What is it about?”
“The art teacher wants me to join the talent competition.” said Mo Fei flatly.
“What? Talent competition? Is your art teacher insane? What talent do you have? Oh, I remember it. You can sing. But don’t you ever sing ‘I am the most handsome in the world. No one is more handsome than me, blahblahblah…’ during the competition! If you really sing it, those audience down there would kill you with rotten eggs! And if you die like that, you would really remain infamous and smelly down the history.” said Lou Yu sarcastically.
Lou Yu’s face darkened and he glared at Lou Yu, “What do you know? I am such a versatile artist. Just a random show and a lot of women would be charmed by me! When I make my face, those hot chicks that are waiting to roll the sheets with me would line from here to Lantsang River! And at that time, you can only live alone in your cold room.”
Su Rong, “…”
Lou Yu looked at Mo Fei fiercely, filled with kind of sour and bitter feeling in his heart, “If you are so capable, then you can go.”

Mo Fei snorted and went into the study.
Su Rong looked at Mo Fei and said, “Mo Yi, I heard you are going to participate in the Top 100 Championship.”
Top 100 Championship was the highlight of the competitions among departments. Competitions like talent competition could only be rendered as some games for fun at most.
Mo Yi nodded, “Yeah, before we came back, the teacher from the Fighting Department said there is still one quota for me. But the young master said he’ll need me for the talent competition. So if the two conflicts, I’m gonna give priority to the young master’s talent competition.”
Su Rong gave him a hollow laugh, thinking to himself, “If the teacher from Fighting Department heard Mo Yi’s words, it’d be fun to see the expression on his face.” But instead, he said, “You are truly devoted to your young master.”
“Sure thing.” said Mo Yi reasonably.
Mo Yi then turned to Su Rong and asked in curiosity, “Are you taking part in the Top 100 Championship?”
Su Rong nodded, “Of course, anyway I can also been rendered as one of the top students in our department.”
Mo Yi said thoughtfully, “So the top students of the Imperial College were most of your kind, I see…”
Looking at Mo Yi’s disapproving face, Su Rong asked crossly, “What do you mean?”
Mo Yi put on a bright smile, lips curled up, “I see why the teachers of your Fighting Department would be so brazen-faced to beg me to join in the championship.”
Su Rong’s face turned red immediately, “What are you referring to?”
Mo Yi patted Su Rong shoulder and said, “Prepare some more medicine, just in case.”
Su Rong, “…”

The Voice of the World
Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class. Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday. Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late. The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like. While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all. Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged. Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on) (it did, eventually), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality. Update Time currently varies, due to personal injury, but the goal is 1/week on Wednesdays, with a possible smaller chapter on weekends if time/health permits.
