Chapter 134: Suck-up and Hatred (2)
Translator: Guy Gone Bad
“Ah!” Mo Yi groaned and withdrew holding his shoulder.
Hearing Mo Yi’s stuffy groaning, Zheng Xuan got startled, saying in a pucker, “Seven, are you all right? I didn’t use much strength.”
Mo Yi got severely injured yesterday, the wound that he had no time to nurse now finally got tore open again, with blood gushing out of his shoulder.
Mo Yi then sat on the ground covering his wound.
“You are hurt.” Zheng Xuan moved to him anxiously, trying to check his wound.
“Fuck off!” Mo Yi yelled at Zheng Xuan bitterly.
Suddenly something hit Zheng Xuan’s mind, “Was it you who went to Xu Family trying to kill Xiao Mei?”
Mo Yi pursed his lips, gasping while covering the wound. He didn’t answer Zheng Xuan, but Zheng Xuan already got the affirmative answer.
Zheng Xuan’s fingernail inserted into his palm, like a duck in a thunderstorm! Holy crap! What had he done? How could he…Zheng Xuan felt kind of despairing.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I didn’t know it was you…”
No wonder when the knife inserted into Mo Yi’s shoulder, he would have reaction. Both of them had absorbed the Water-fire Twin Bead that was bred in the Ice-fire Pond. So they would have some kind of mysterious connections.
Mo Yi turned his head sideways and didn’t talk to Zheng Xuan.
Zheng Xuan scratched his head and ladened with anxiety, “Are you all right?”
Mo Yi looked at Zheng Xuan for some time covering his wound, “I saw that there’s Ice Blue Flowers on the way here. You go pick some for me.”
Ice Blue Flowers could heal those wounds caused by source power of fire property.
On hearing Mo Yi’s words, Zheng Xuan nodded head, feeling extremely flattered, saying without thinking, “I’ll go now. Wait for me. I will be right back.|

Seeing Mo Fei walk away, Mo Yi quickly left dragging that wounded body.
When Zheng Xuan saw the Ice Blue Flowers, a big smile crawled onto his face. But the next second he suddenly something was not right and the smile froze on his face. He picked a bouquet of Ice Blue Flowers and hurried back.
That kind of bad feeling became denser and denser. When he got back, as expected, Mo Yi had always gone.
Zheng Xuan bit his lips, some kind of unspeakable disappointment and grievance surged in his heart, and the Ice Blue Flowers all dropped on the ground.
Zheng Xuan took a deep breath while hammering his head. He knew that it wasn’t right that Seven suddenly asked a favor from him since he hated him so much. He was just using an excuse to get rid of him.
Zheng Xuan scratched his head grumpily, and then braced himself up and went to look for Mo Yi following the footprints and any other possible trace of him.
“Zheng Xuan!” suddenly a silvery sound was heard.
Zheng Xuan raised his head and frowned as he saw the one who just called him. It was Wu Shangyong from Canglan Department, who was addicted to fighting and especially fond of challenging those masters.
“Zheng Xuan, come on. Let’s have a fight.” said Wu Shangyong with an extra exciting tone.
“I’m going to look for Seven. No time for you. You can find someone else.” said Zheng Xuan inimically.
Wu Shangyong smirked, “Are you afraid of me? If you are afraid of me, then hand out your identity card.”
Zheng Xuan cast a glance at him. He had no time reasoning with him, so he took out his identity card and threw it at Wu Shangyong.
Seeing Zheng Xuan hand out his card directly, Wu Shangyong looked at him like looking at an alien.

“Are you really that Zheng Xuan I know? Are you someone else who disguises as him?” said Wu Shangyong with a spooky tone.
Zheng Xuan looked at Wu Shangyong impatiently, “Are you done or not? Get out of my way!”
Wu Shangyong sneered, revealing his two tiger teeth, “What if I say no?”
Zheng Xuan clenched his fists, eyes flashing a murderous look, with flames burning around him.
Wu Shangyong’s expression changed a bit. He had thought Zheng Xuan gave him his card because he was badly injured and was anxious to get rid of him. But it turned out that he was in a completely whole piece.
With Wu Shangyong standing in his way, the raging fire in Zheng Xuan’s heart finally broke out. He said with an indifferent voice, eyes cold, “I’m afraid you can’t go now even if you want to.”
Then the overwhelming fire aimed at Wu Shangyong, while Wu Shangyong hurriedly generated his source power to resist.
Metal walls set up in front of Wu Shangyong. The roaring fire dragon made a circle around the metal walls, which immediately got burned into a puddle of metal water.
Wu Shangyong’s face turned ghastly pale. He was bellicose but it didn’t mean he was not afraid of death. What he was thinking now was run away while Zheng Xuan didn’t mean to give him the chance.
Wu Shangyong nearly got scared out of his wits. He had heard though Zheng Xuan was super powerful, he was kind of stiff person. When in a fight, he usually wouldn’t embarrass his opponent. Wu Shangyong was sweating all over now. He thought those rumors were total bullshit!
Looking at the fire dragon that was like trying to burn him into ashes pouncing at him, Wu Shangyong could only break his transmitting rune.
Watching Wu Shangyong disappear before his eyes, Zheng Xuan felt his anger got held in his chest.
“Who is there? Get out!” said Zheng Xuan coldly.
Then two female students from Flying Snow Department came out of the dark.
Zheng Xuan looked them crossly, “Did you see someone wearing Grimace Flower?”
They hastened to shake their heads, saying, “No, no.”
Zheng Xuan shouted angrily, “No? Then why are you still here?”
They got frightened and immediately fled.

Apollyon's Curse
Within the pages of folklore and fantasy, tales of people who chase after the dream of eternity, of living forever, rarely find a happy ending. They are either struck by the grim truth of reality, give up, and return to mortality or face a ghastly realization of their wishes. The latter often the worse fate, as they come to realize, only far too late, that what they sacrificed was worth far more than the time they gained. Ultimately, the common thread in these stories is that “immortality is as much a curse as it is a blessing”. People either realize it early and give up or are doomed to inevitably face its consequences. In the world Enrich lives in, that saying does hold merit. Every pathway towards eternal life has shackles of its own. They bring those high above down to the ground, evening the playing field. It is thanks to these fundamental laws that ambitious mortals are able to defy the heavens and achieve immortality themselves. The variety of methods result in each of these bindings varying in intensity and degree of freedom. Enrich’s path doesn't break this trend. Though, after what he did to himself, most wouldn’t even consider him a living thing anymore. On the day of his ascension, a world’s worth of souls were melted and recast. On that day, the human’s path had reached its conclusion, recast into Apollyon. An artifact, a weapon, is eternal, after all. As for the curse? The payment will be made, as it must. So why not offload the curse to someone else? Mortals throw their lives away for all manner of petty reasons, noble or otherwise, especially in desperation. Eventually, someone will be willing to foot the bill. Most will if given the chance. The bait is far too tempting, after all. Power, status, knowledge. All at their fingertips. If only they say “yes”. And Apollyon is very willing to help any lost souls. If they give up everything in return, of course.
