Waking up early in the morning Julian saw Daisy sleeping next to him peacefully, he got up from the bed and got ready to head out, before that he wanted to do some research so he turned the PC in the room and searched for Wattson the gym leader of Mauville gym, what he saw next made him shocked, Wattson was actually the founder of Mauville city, he wanted to convert Mauville into an expansion project but abandoned the plan, instead he built the city gym and installed switch control dynamos which created doors made of electricity.

He was also the project leader of Sea Mauville project under Greater Mauville Holdings. ​​

Julian took his time again and this time it took him three minutes, the gate disappeared and he continued to walk, he just hoped that he won't have to solve another puzzle, luckily his wish came true and he saw a battlefield in front of him, he was relieved not to see any electric doors in front of him.

He was actually really impressed by this technology, the output of the electricity was very high, if anyone tried to tough it, they would get zapped very hard but it still won't harm them as the electricity would just leave their body and get back to where it came from leaving the one trying to enter with force unconscious.

He walked in and found a huge platform in front of him and on top of it was a fat old man wearing a yellow jumpsuit with a brown shirt on top of it, he had white hair and beard and a big smile stuck on his face.

He is Wattson the gym leader of Mauville gym.

Wattson "Young man you are really smart to clear the puzzle so quickly, you broke the previous record by a mile away, but that's not important, tell me did you like my awesome invention?"

Julian nodded as this was an all-around rule in a gym battle, sometimes the gym leader would change the rule if they want to.
