"It's OK, it's just that I didn't expect you to care. You are really different from what I imagined".

On hearing Chen Lihua's words, Liu Longwei curled his lips and asked in a surprised voice "What did you imagine me as?" ​​

Chen Lihua was taken about by the question because she didn't imagine that a whole CEO of a billion dollar company will care about the thoughts she had about him but nevertheless, she still replied in a calm manner.

"I thought you will be cold towards me and not care about my thoughts or bother trying to know me at all. I thought all these things will be meaningless to you since you have a big company to run and millions of employees working under, I already thought since you had a big burden to shoulder, you wouldn't care about any other thing apart from your business and trying to make profits".

On hearing Chen Lihua's words, Liu Longwei let out a soft laugh. He really didn't expect to hear those words from Chen Lihua, he didn't expect her to go all out in saying what she had in mind and what she thought about him.

Chen Lihua was surprised to hear him laugh, she decided to wait for him to finish laughing before asking. "Why are you laughing, did I say something funny?".

When Liu Longwei heard Chen Lihua's question, he stopped laughing but he still had a smile on his lips, "Yes your words are funny. Although your thoughts about me are true but, you are an exception because you my wife to be and it won't be proper for me to bring my cold blooded business side into a relationship and besides, I want you to feel relaxed whenever we are together. You know, first impression matters".

After listening to Liu Longwei's explanation, Chen Lihua understood something, Liu Longwei didn't deny that he didn't care about anybody, she finally grasped the meaning behind his words.

Although he didn't care about anything that won't bring profit to his business, he still cared about their relationship, which means he also cared about her in a way.

"I understand your point Mr Liu Longwei, thanks for the interest you have shown to this relationship"

Liu Longwei stands up from the chair and moves to sit in a comfortable position on the sofa in his study room.

"There's nothing to thank me for Miss Chen Lihua, I care about this relationship because it is my future so, I have to care about it and groom it"

Crossing his legs, Liu Longwei raised his right hand and placed it on the sofa's arm, he continued the discussion.

"We will be collecting our marriage certificate tomorrow by 12 pm and after that, we will go on a date Since I'll be traveling on Saturday morning for a business trip".

Not letting Chen Lihua interrupt him with a question, he continued. "The reason for the date is for us to use the little time I have left before the business trip to talk more since the business trip is for a month and not just getting the marriage certificate and departing awkwardly".

After pondering over what Liu Longwei said, Chen Lihua let out a sigh. Honestly speaking, she thought Liu Longwei was being so thoughtful and was putting in an effort for their relationship to work while she did not think much of their relationship at the moment.

The only time that she can try to put in an effort in their relationship is when she has understood him well enough.

Because her parents relationship really left a scar on her. Even though she knew all men were not the same, she didn't want to put any effort towards this relationship so as not be disappointed.

She has already agreed with her self that she wont let any man mistreat her or turn her into a punching bag no matter the caliber of the man.

That is why she worked hard to be so successful and independent so that she won't have to depend on any man for anything.

Her success today was as a result of the promise she made to to herself.

Husbands are supposed to help their wives succeed and live well, but her father was the exact opposite of that.

He never helped her mother, but whenever he did, he would complain about her mother always depending on him for everything.

She didn't want to give any man any reason to insult her when she needs help.

So, she had rather work her assistant off and be successful and form her own connections than go through any man.

Finding Liu Longwei's Suggestions and thoughts meaningful, she agreed with him on the matter. "No problem Mr Liu, I am in agreement with you".

Hearing the words he wanted to hear, he came to a conclusion that Chen Lihua was on the same page as him not knowing her thoughts, he said

"Since you agreed, tell me anything you want so I can make arrangements for it".

Chen Lihua paused for a second before replying "I don't need anything from you apart from pleading with you not to announce our marriage to the public for now"

"If I may ask what's your reason Miss Chen Lihua?"

Chen Lihua yawns as she is feeling sleepy and replies tiredly "That's a question to be answered tomorrow".

Hearing Chen Lihua's tired voice, Liu Longwei brought his left hand that was holding his phone down from his ear and turned his left hand slightly such that the wrist watch on his hand was seen.

He checked the time and saw it was 10:30pm, he knew it was late already and he has been speaking with Chen Lihua for a while.

"Ok, no problem I can see you are tired. We will continue our discussion tomorrow. Rest well Miss Chen".

Without waiting for Chen Lihua to reply he terminated the call.

With a slight smile on his face, he stood up from the Sofa and went directly to his work desk. He sat down and continued with the files he was going through before he placed a call on Chen Lihua.

He worked for another 30 mins before going to his bedroom.

He placed a call on Asst Duyi.

Asst Duyi was already asleep. When he heard his phone ringing, he jumped up from his bed immediately and picked his phone and on seeing it was the CEO's call, he picked it without hesitation.

"Good evening CEO Liu "

When Liu Longwei heard the drowsy voice, he relayed some instructions to him regarding the restaurant he was to dine in the next day with Chen Lihua and ended the call without waiting for a reply.

Asst Duyi twitched his mouth and nodded his head disapprovenly. He made a reservation in a high end class restaurant according to Liu Longwei's instruction and went back to sleep peacefully.

After giving instructions to asst Duyi, Liu Longwei layed on his bed and went to sleep.

While on Chen Lihua's end, she dropped her phone on the night stand and went to sleep after the call disconnected.
