"So where does my pretty kidnapper want to take me?" Lu Aotian asked as they walked out of the building. "And can you take off that mask? It looks so ugly on you."

"Who did you just say was ugly?" Wan Jia was furious. How dare he say such a word to a woman? Was he even a man?

"I said the mask looked ugly." He laughed at her defeated look. "Honey, am only worried my bodyguards will think am really in danger and attack you. It will be too late to save you then." Sure enough, one of the bodyguards in hiding was just about to attack when his friend stopped him.

"Are you mad?Don't you see how the boss looks happy and obedient being pulled away? It must be just a prank."

Who pulls such pranks?

Wan Jia chose the fanciest restaurant in town to have lunch. She didn't even care about how it was the best and what not, all she wanted was to put a dent in his wallet.

"You can't spend all my money even if you squander it for ten lifetimes." It was as if Lu Aotian was reading her thoughts. Of course he knew she was doing it on purpose. It wasn't all that new to him.

The two of them booked the best spot and soon their meals were served.

"Is Mo Zilian bullying you?" He asked.

"Seriously? I don't even know what you were so worried about. Does she even know how to bully anyone? She chose a totally useless lackey and came up with the most ridiculous scheme on earth. Really, stealing my drafts and giving them to her friend to present in the name of 'the company nominated her to replace me'? Is she crazy?" Wan Jia rambled on and on as she criticized Mo Zilian.

"She stole your drafts?" Lu Aotian was worried.

"Yeah" she said indifferently. "They are incomplete. The complete ones never left the house. I only use the initial ones for refference. Would I be so stupid to let them really see my work?"

So that was how it is. No wonder she wasn't worried about them at all.

"Seriously Lu Aotian, how could such a foolish woman even trick you? Just how foolish were you back then?" She blurted out without thinking.

Then she realised his expression didn't look right. Was it because he still hadn't forgotten about Mo Zilian yet? After all the first love was always the hardest to forget.... She frowned. Was she not the one supposed to be his true love? They had such a past together, they even had a daughter. She suddenly got angry. She was jealous!

Just as she was about to erupt, Lu Aotian spoke up.

"Mo Zilian was always useless even in scheming. That's how she got me. I thought she was a kind hearted person."

Wan Jia gave him a dirty look. He was reminiscing their past now, huh?

Lu Aotian laughed at her adorable pout. He didn't understand why she was looking at him like that and went on " The mastermind must have wanted to chose a good for nothing type of schemer to make me let my guard down. They're doing the same for you. They want you to think she's harmless."

"What?" she was shocked.

"That's right. It's how they handled things back them. I can't believe they used the same trick twice." He scolded them a billion times in his heart. Couldn't they come up with new ways? "They know who you are. You have to leave that place."

He hadn't thought about this possibility either. He initially thought that the only thing Mo Zilian had against Wan Jia was the fact that she was his wife. A man would always know if a woman had feelings for him or if she was putting on an act and he knew that Mo Zilian did indeed love him years ago. Perhaps that was why he had believed her and fallen into her trap.

If his guess was correct this time, they were going to use Mo Zilian's hatred against Wan Jia.

Wan Jia hadn't got the hung of what Lu Aotian was going on about yet. Her heart was filled with so much jealousy that she thought he was praising her for being kind hearted. Kind hearted, he said? Can she compare to her, the beautiful goddess loved by all?

"Wanwan?"

"You still love her, right?"

"What nonesense are you thinking about?" He thought of a possibility. He smiled and raised an eyebrow. "Are you jealous?"

"Who is jealous? What's there to be jealous about?"

A voice in her heart said, Of course am jealous! You're praising another woman right under my nose and you ask if am jealous?

He held her hand.

"Wanwan, it's for the sake of your safety. Leave Mondial Studios. If you don't leave then I'll have no choice but to pull you out of there by your hair."

Wan Jia understood his concern. She was happy that he cared about her. "I'll leave in a few days. The deal was to stay till the Awards Ceremony anyway, if I win I leave. What can they do in a few days?"

"What if they have been planning their attack for long and you just fell into it?" He made sense. It was even possible that after collaborating with Mr. Baker, they bought him over to help them.

"Then I'll have to trouble President Lu to protect me." she replied boldly.

"Now that's a good girl. I'd protect you even if you didn't ask for it." He rubbed her hair like she was a little kitten.
