Grandma Wang chatted with the two girls all afternoon before she reluctantly let them leave after making them promise to visit again soon.

Sure enough, Ruolin's attitude wasn't as good as it was when she brought her.

"Since you know your way, you can come on your own next time." she said as soon as they were far from Grandma Wang.

Yun Xuan rolled her eyes. "Or, Tyler will bring me next time."

Ruolin seemed even angrier "Whatever. If he has the time, that is." the last statement was a mumble.

Yun Xuan couldn't understand her at all. They were meant to be sisters in law and hadn't crossed paths so why did this girl hate her? Hence she couldn't help but ask "Do you like Tyler?"

She was shocked for a second before she tried to be calm and indifferent. "He's my brother. Of course I like him."

"I mean....are you in love with him?"

Ruolin knew she was going to ask that and gave her a sharp look. "Can you mind your business? I just pity my brother for being with a pretentious woman who only knows tricks of seduction. You think my grandma will still like you when she knows what type of person you are?"

That was one poisonous mouth. Yun Xuan's mouth twitched.

"How did it go? I guess grandma was all over you all day." Tyler asked as he looked through documents on his laptop.

"It was all good. Grandma is so friendly." she smiled to disguise her bad mood.

"Told you so, but why do you look like you're in a bad mood?"

Did this guy possess special eyes? Not even her mother or brother could tell when she concealed her mood. How did this guy know?

"I'm not. I'm just tired." she denied swiftly, not wanting to report to him things that mattered as much as a fart.

"Really?" He did not believe her. "Did Ruolin make things difficult for you?"

Yun Xuan frowned. Nailed it again? Hey, are you a worm in my stomach?

"She really did." his tone was of certainty this time and he was unhappy. That Ruolin! She had promised to be nicer to Yun Xuan. What was she doing by making her unhappy now? She would deal with her later.

"How's work?" She changed the topic as she sat on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.

The man looked a bit down when she asked that. "Well, I'm going away on another mission tomorrow." he seemed sad to break the news.

She caressed his chin. "Why the long face? Is it going to take too long?"

"Two months." he sighed.

"Two months? That long?" she looked sad. Why were his missions so long?

"I may come back earlier but at most I'll be away for two months"

"Can I come with you?"

"Of course not. Why would I take you with me to dangerous places? I'd never do that." he instantly rejected.

Yun Xuan sighed. She was just about to ask where he would be going when he answered ger unasked question "I'm sorry, I can't tell you my location this time. But don't worry, It's within the nation." he said as he hugged her closer.

She frowned. "Being with you is quite troublesome. You disappear as mysteriously as you appear, I don't truly know you, you stay away in a place I don't know for so long... how would I find you if one day you decided to disappear for good or if, God forbid, something happened to you in an unknown place?

He laughed and kissed her." Don't be troubled. If something were to happen to me, that would mean my identity has been leaked. That way you will find me and besides, don't you know my home now?"

She was just feeling uneasy. What kind of answer was that?

"That's why there are things I can't tell you. Some people always know the people close to us and what information they could possibly have. I don't want your existence to be known to them. Talking of which.....I'm sorry but we can only marry without a wedding."

"I was aware of that." Of course she was aware of this from the day he told her his occupation.

"Oh, isn't Ruolin's life in danger then? After all they think you two are husband and wife...and why did the two of you have to use that as a cover?

"Ruolin is one woman not just anyone can track down. She vanishes like a puff of wind when she wants to and her martial art skills paired with her gunsmanship are top notch. At least I can be certain that she is able to protect herself.

As for why the agency had us act as a couple, it's because using a couple that loves travelling as a disguise is easier to work with when going to some places."

"Oh..." she sighed slightly sadly.

"What's wrong? You're uncomfortable about her acting as my wife?" he pinched her jealous cheeks.

"Don't worry. Only you can be my wife. She's my sister remember?" he laughed. "If it troubles you, however, I'll speak to my superiors and tell them about my real life marriage so they can change the arrangement."

Satisfied now, she smiled. "Okay." Her man was just so thoughtful.
