"Hmph! Since you dared to offend a Lin, be prepared to face the consequences." she said and stormed off in her high heeled shoes.

Lin Lihua was feeling elated. This was her first time protecting someone, and that just happened to be her little sister. She was literally floating on the clouds.

Knowing how nice it felt to be a protective elder sister, she vowed to protect her forever.

Although no test had been done to verify Wan Jia's relationship with her mother, she did not believe that two unrelated people could possibly exist with such strikingly similar characteristics. She had been watching this girl closely.

Not only was she the abandoned daughter of the He family, she was too much like her mother! They even exuded the same aura. She had even inherited her design talent from her mother. She was afraid of approaching her herself; it would be too suspicious. Since luck came her way and allowed them to meet under different circumstances, she would make good use of this opportunity.

However, she had to tread carefully. According to her mother, Wan Jia's father was a very dangerous man that she should never mess with. Even if that man could not topple the influence of Lin Lihua's father, he still had his ways of dealing with Wan Jia. Who knew what that shameless man might do?

Now, her first mission was to slowly make her little sister stay away from that man's daughter.

She dialled Wan Jia's contact number.

"Little Wan, are you busy?" she asked sweetly.

Wan Jia was just about to say that she was not busy when Lu Aotian glared at her. She immediately changed it to "Do you need anything? I'm with my...um...husband."

Lin Lihua blushed. She was married? "Well,...I just wanted to invite you over for dinner. We could catch a movie and have some fun. Call it a girls' night. What do you think?"

Wan Jia looked at Lu Aotian for further instructions. The speaker was turned on, he could hear their conversation. The man simply acted like it had nothing to do with her, but she knew that he would not be happy if she went on such short notice. "I'm sorry Miss Lin, I can't make it." she carefully didn't promise to go over the next time.

Lin Lihua sounded disappointed. "I understand, you can come over when you're not too busy. Also, don't be too polite with me. You can just call me 'sis'. She said meaningfully. She would have to call her 'sis' one day anyway, it was better to get used to it this early.

Before she hung up, she remembered simething more important. "Oh, Little Wan, I've already spoken to the company CEO. Those fools from the design department wanted to use you for their own gain. Luckily, I found out in time. If you come back, no one will ever treat you unfairly again."

Wan Jia was surprised that such a proud person had taken the initiative to stand up for her. She regretfully said, "Thanks for the trouble, but I have already made up my mind not to go back."

Lin Lihua felt terrible. "Then what will happen to my costume? I only like your designs." she complained.

Wan Jia laughed. "If your company allows you to use something produced by an outsider, then I don't mind giving it to you. It was made to suit you anyway."

They chatted a little more before ending the call.

After ending the call, Lin Lihua started asking among her friends for restaurants that served the best dessert. Since her little sister liked sweet things, she would buy her some.

On the other hand, Yun Xuan had only been communicating with Tyler online since he left. He would send her messages when he woke up since he did not want to wake her up too early; she was not too much of an early riser like him.

At first, they would have a video chat every night before Yun Xuan's bedtime but the frequency of that started detoriorating when he got too busy. He would only take a few minutes from his work to call her. However, that was more than enough for her to feel happy. At least he was trying his best.

With a lot to think about, time flew very fast and two months were almost over.

"I'll be back in three days." he said over their videocall that night.

"You're almost done? I thought you would come after more than a fortnight." she questioned while doing her routine skin care.

"Indeed, I still had a lot to do. But I miss you so much, so I sped up."

"You sped up? Oh, is that why you suddenly became so busy?" She felt touched. For a man to speed up his work just to get back to her, just how much did he love her?

"You could say that." he smiled.

"Oh you...look at you! No wonder you look so skinny. Haven't you been eating?" she nagged.

It did not make him feel annoyed, he felt happy that she cared about him. "Be good, it's one minute past your bedtime. Don't get dark circles."

"I don't want to sleep! I want a kiss."

He chuckled and blew her a kiss. She whined for more kisses before she finally went to bed.

Three days. In just three days, she would finally be able to see her sweetheart again.
