Lu Aotian and Lu Shaoting looked at each other. She did have a point, if they delayed any further, they would give him time to execute his scheme. But how could Lu Aotian let his woman walk into danger?

Wan Jia knew what he was thinking and said, "they were my family for years. What's the worst that could happen? At most they could only collude with him to lie to me."

"Who said they can't do bad things?" Lu Aotian really wanted to know what exactly would happen if she went, but he was afraid that she may run into trouble.

Lu Shaoting spoke up too. "My brother is right. While they were your family, that was years ago. Right now they believe that they lost their child because of you. Do you think they still like you? Even if it does not involve life and death, it's still suicidal to go there on your own."

"Who said anything about me going on my own? I'll have to trouble both of you to protect me.

My love, why are you looking at me like that? I'm going for the sake of helping you find out a villain's motives and not just for the adventure."

Lu Aotian continued scanning her, not at all believing what she just said. It seemed, he had to limit her exposure to crime movies.

The trio spent a large part of the morning coming up with the most effective plan.

Thay decided to play along with the other party's game. Wan Jia would pretend that she did not know Yun Jifeng was lying to her and go to the He family home. She would not be alone, however, there would be many bodyguards in hiding in case anything happened.

Lu Aotian would also follow her while in hiding and keep a maximum distance of a hundred metres from her. Only then would he be assured.

As for Lu Shaoting, he would remain in the car and be on the lookout. As they were going to prepare tiny cameras to hover around the compound, Lu Shaoting's role was to inform his brother if anything happened away from his line of vision.

That was how the brothers had always worked. While outsiders often thought that Lu Shaoting was nothing but his brother's sidekick, the two of them actually complimented each other.

"Why didn't anyone mention giving me one of those tiny listening devices?" Wan Jia complained.

"Why do you think I'm following you? I don't want you to get distracted by anything." Lu Aotian said.

Although Wan Jia was the star of this little 'adventure', Lu Aotian felt it was dangerous to make her have a listening device. If she listened to their conversations and instructions, what would happen if someone noticed she was recieving instructions?

She pouted and looked sad. Lu Aotian patted her head lightly. "Don't be too sad, it's just because I love you too much that I don't want you to do anything that might cause suspicion."

Hearing that, she was happy now, so she turned to kiss his lips.

"Ahem," Lu Shaoting coughed. "When are we going to do all this?"

"Today." Lu Aotian answered.

"Today!" Wan Jia could not hide her excitement.

"Mmh. Shaoting and I are alright. Honey, go get changed into something more comfortable." he told her.

Wan Jia ran off to her room.

The brothers went to wait for her in the living room.

"Daddy!" a certain adorable little doll called out when she saw her father.

"Daddy, hugs." she lifted her little arms. Lu Aotian took her into his embrace lovingly. The little girl rubbed her head against her father's warm chest then noticed her uncle.

"Second uncle, second uncle hug!" she asked her father to put her down before clinging to her second uncle.

"Uncle's favorite baby!" Lu Shaoting chuckled as he carried her. The little girl proceeded to kiss her second uncle's cheek before hiding her face shyly.

Lu Aotian felt jealous. He had not recieved a kiss!

Now that she was with her uncle, she remembered something.

"Second uncle, is the moon very far away?" she asked adorably.

"Yes, baby. The moon is very far away. Why do you ask?"

"Tangtang said that his mommy loves him to the moon and back." she answered, looking at him curiously with big bright eyes.

Tangtang was Lu Shaoting's godson,he had played with Little Jia only twice. Little Jia seemed to like playing with him, but he was five and already going to school so he thought Little Jia was too little to play with him.

"It means that Tangtang's mommy loves him very much." he answered.

Little Jia tilted her little head, making her pigtails dangle. "More than my mommy loves me?"

"Eer..." Lu Shaoting did not know how to answer. The little girl took his hesitation for a yes.

She blushed and pursed her lips then said. "Then Little Jia loves second uncle to the moon and back." She wrapped her little hands around his neck and hid her face.

Lu Shaoting's heart almost melted.

Even though he knew his niece was acting cute so she could ask for something, he still felt very warm.

Lu Aotian felt like smashing the house.

Why was it that the first time his daughter said such a thing as loving people to the moon and back, she had said it to his brother and not to him? What happened to "Little Jia loves Daddy the most"?

Wan Jia had finished dressing up and came downstairs. "I'm done." she said.
