"Objection." Wan Jia's lawyer spoke up. This was Lawyer Zhen. He had never lost any case before. In fact the judge was a little shaken when he saw him earlier.

He shot Lawyer Zhen a glance while he hid his nervousness.

"You have only listened to the plaintiff's side and now you want to pass a verdict, without giving my client a chance to defend herself? What judicial law are you following? Hey, have you been bribed?"

Lin Lihua bit her lip to hold in her laughter. Apart from Lawyer Zhen, who would say such brave things in a court session?

The judge adjusted his glasses awkwardly. "If you have anything to say in your defense, speak up and not waste everyone's time." He said.

Why were they wasting time? There was no evidence to clear this girl's name. She did not even have a single witness. That man had promised him, he only had to sentence her to death.

He had already recieved ten million and would be given another ten when the girl was killed. Then he would flee the country with his family. His family would live in luxury even if he died. Even if the truth would be revealed later, it would be too late.

Still, he feinged a relaxed attitude and listened to this cunning lawyer. Whatever! Unless they had solid proof, she would not get away.

He even made a back up plan mentally. If they produced evidence that was slightly valid, he would just stall for time and ask for the girl to be detained until the next hearing.

Before the next hearing, he would just ask someone to create an 'accident' and kill her.

Lawyer Zhen looked at Grandfather He's lawyer.

"You claim my client killed the He family. What motive would she have to do that?"

Before he could speak, Grandfather He bellowed. "She hates us! She was brought up by my son but just because she was sent out, she bore a grudge and came back to kill us off. She always bore ill intentions."

Lawyer Zhen's mouth twitched. Such a stupid teammate is bound to burn you to death.

He asked for a certain video to be played.

"How could she do that on her own? She may have colluded with someone else." the other laywer argued.

"You won't give up will you?" Lawyer Zhen smirked then played two more videos. One of Yun Jifeng's man giving something to young master He then another of that man slipping something through a window.

"This man was not seen entering the compound, but the host was not surprised to see him. Doesn't this mean they knew each other?"

The other lawyer had no way to retaliate. They indeed looked familiar with each other...

Minutes ago he had already given the city surveillance video to prove that Wan Jia was the only outsider who entered the compound. How could they explain this person?

Lawyer Zhen had not only proven that Wan Jia did not do anything apart from ask them about that woman, he had also pushed the ball back to them. How were they going to explain that man?

There was nothing to tie him to Wan Jia, but he had been proven to have connections with a member of their family.

With such irrefutable evidence, the judge had to regretfully declare Wan Jia innocent and talk about investigating the real murderer.
