"Literally sleep? But I want you." he complained.

"Let's just sleep, okay?"

She lay in bed next to him and was instantly pulled into his arms. "You slept for so long during the day. Are you even sleepy?"

"Do you want to tell me a bedtime story? I want one like the one we read to Little Jia tonight."

"Pfft...you want to listen to such childish stories? You're a big girl so how about I read you my documents instead?"

Wan Jia retorted. "No. They are too boring." If anyone asked her to read any of those boring analyses and contracts of his, she would beat them to death.

"That's the selling point."

"No, let's chat instead."

"What do you want to talk about?"

Wan Jia cutely snuggled up to his chest. "You will not punish Shaoting, right?"

Lu Aotian had long expected that question. "If I don't punish him, will you take his punishment instead?"

"It's only right for me to do that since I'm the one who forced him to help me, right?"

"Now that you mention it, how did you force him into helping you? He's usually not easily swayed."

Wan Jia laughed and did not answer.

Lu Aotian thought about her request. "Since you want to take the bullet for him, tomorrow morning, tell your CEO that for the next twelve months, you will only recieve your basic salary. You do not need any bonus."

"What?!"

"I was going to deduct all his bonuses for two years, lock down everything he wants to code for a year and give him a good beating. This is already considered very generous." He explained.

"That was him but you are now dealing with your wife. Can't you give me a discount?"

"Fine, eleven months and three weeks then."

Wan Jia slapped her forehead. What kind of discount was that?

She rubbed her inner thigh against his slowly, awakening all the demons in him. "My love, are you really going to do this to me?"

Lu Aotian cursed under his breath. This little devil! "Fine, you win. But just this once."

"I knew you love me the most." she pecked his lips.

"Speaking of which, you already had Little Jia. How are you still so...small?" he suddenly asked.

Wan Jia took a few seconds to understand his words and blushed. "You hooligan! I'm not talking to you anymore. Go to sleep."

The next morning, Lu Aotian had already left for his office when she woke up. She freshened up and rushed to the company. Su Ling was already waiting for her.

"Boss, I couldn't reach you yesterday and was very worried. The CEO said that you would be slightly late but you ended up staying away all day. Were you alright?"

Wan Jia remembered the events of the previous day and blushed. "Yes. I was just tired."

"That's good."

"Ling, are there any new tasks for me?"

Su Ling brought over three files. "Yes, here. The CEO said that you should only chose one contract."

Wan Jia looked at the three custom orders: A gown for a banquet, two dresses for a movie opening ceremony and..."A wedding gown?"

Even Su Ling was surprised. "A wedding gown? Did the CEO make a mistake?"

"I think so. This must have been meant for Mr. Jiang. He's the only wedding dress designer in the company. Could you return this to the CEO?"

Wan Jia could not help but smile as Su Ling left. It's not that she was completely unable to design a wedding gown, she actually wanted to try it out. But, that would be for her wedding. It would be her most special creation and if she wanted to design another one, it would be for Lin Lihua's wedding if she ever decided to get married. Unknowingly, Lin Lihua had become very special to her.

At lunch time, Wan Jia gave Lu Shaoting a call.

"Sister-in-law, You troublemaking devil, please spare my soul and don't call me." Lu Shaoting said as soon as he answered her call.

Wan Jia shook her head helplessly. "You fool. I only wanted to check on you. Are you okay? You are not dead, right?"

"I'm okay. Not a single hair missing. But, don't you think it's strange? My brother's first reaction should have been to dole out a very generous beating. Do you think he's finding more sofisticated methods to eradicate me?"

Wan Jia recalled Lu Aotian's words from the previous night. "I think so too. He must be waiting for the right time to drag you somewhere and beat you to death."

"Wuuu...I'm not even married yet. How will I face my ancestors if I die now?"

Wan Jia was helpless. "Idiot. I begged for your life. Now, could you thank me by telling me if you took that thing to hospital?"

Lu Shaoting was silent for a while. "Sister-in-law, while I really want to thank you and help you all the way since I already started, I think we should talk to my brother about this first. It wouldn't look nice if we continued doing things behind his back."

"Of course we should talk to him. He already knows that we succeeded but didn't ask about it. He must be waiting to see our next moves. I don't want to crawl back into his bad books." Besides, she had not even finished paying off her debts with him yet.

"Then should I come to Southside Villa this evening?"

"No need. I have an appoitment with him this afternoon."
