Shortly after Wan Jia's promotion, the National Fashion Week was coming up soon. As EFW's top designer, she was definitely going to attend it. She would represent Lu Enterprises as well.

Obviously, not everyone was happy about this. Designer Shen was an expected example. He couldn't come to terms with the fact that a woman had taken his position and was now even attending such an important event as the fashion week instead of him.

If he knew sorcery, he would have probably killed Wan Jia several days ago.

On Monday morning, Wan Jia was earlier to work than usual. She was busier than ever lately so Lu Aotian would take the little girl to school today.

As soon as she exited the elevator to start walking towards her office, she was dragged aside sharply by a pair of feminine hands. She opened her eyes wide when she saw the woman who had pulled her. "Dai Youran?"

They were both among the earliest people to the building today. Dai Youran signaled for Wan Jia to not shout and held her hand, leading her somewhere. Although they could be called half friends and half enemies, Wan Jia knew that Dai Youran wouldn't try to hurt her. Unless she hated her life and so badly wanted to die.

"What do you want?"

Dai Youran looked around and when she was certain that there was no one, she looked at Wan Jia seriously. "You know how gossipy my assistant is? Last night, she overheard someone plotting to hurt you. Do you want to know the details?"

Wan Jia scanned her for a while. She was not Lu Aotian who would tell from people's eyes if they were lying but logically Dai Youran's words should be true. After all she was still very new but had got into many people's way. It would be weirder if no one was jealous and hated her. Still, she did not expect that there would be people who were jealous enough to want to hurt her.

As for the details… she believed that Dai Youran wouldn't tell her something helpful for free. "What do you want in return?"

Dai Youran smiled. "A certain someone became more cautious with time. I indeed want something from you."

"What is it?"

"A kiss."

"..!!"

"A what?" Wan Jia had her eyebrow raised.

What did Dai Youran just say? What was that? A kiss? She was expecting her to ask for DY to be unfrozen. There were still a few months left. The amount of loss she had incurred during these few months was huge. Anyone else would ask to be unfrozen and since Dai Youran hadn't caused her any trouble in a long period of time, she would be willing to talk to Lu Aotian about that. But a kiss?!

Wan Jia shook her head and blinked to make sure she was awake. She must have either eaten something wrong for breakfast or there was something wrong with the way she had left the elevator. "Wait, wait, wait. Let me get this straight. You want....Lu Aotian to kiss you? Wait, that doesn't sound right. He only has me in his heart so you woundn't even dream of it...or you want me to help you hook up with another man and let him kiss you?"

That was ridiculous too but it did not sound as unbelievable as what she was currently thinking.

To her horror, Dai Youran moved closer to her and leaned in. "No. I want to kiss you."

Wan Jia moved back swiftly in alarm. "I'm a married woman, gosh!"

Forget about her being married. Dai Youran liked women, and she liked her?

But she was very straight, okay? Even if she liked women, it would have to be someone of at least Lin Lihua's beauty and status. Gah! What was she thinking?

Dai Youran smiled bitterly. "I'll take that as a no. But since it's a beauty like you, I will not get mad at you. How about going for a meal together? Surely you don't mind that, right?"

Wan Jia felt creeped out by the second. "My husband wouldn't like it."

Going out with a woman who had just shown interest in her was no different from going out with another man. Lu Aotian would never restrict her but she still felt that it was wrong.

Dai Youran felt hurt when she saw her reaction. "I thought you would be open-minded but…never mind." She turned to leave.

A few steps later, she stopped and rushed back to Wan Jia. "How about a quick hug?"

When she saw Wan Jia frown in bewilderment, she coughed. "Forget it. The man I was talking about just now is the former top designer."

Wan Jia heard her but wasn't paying attention. She was still in shock. Dai Youran liked women… no wonder at her age; there had never been news about her and any man.

In actual fact, Dai Youran couldn't believe it either. All she knew was that she had never liked any man before. It was only after interacting with Wan Jia a few times that she felt her feelings towards Wan Jia were abnormal. She had yet to accept her feelings towards women.

The most terrifying part was that out of all women in the world, she just had to fall in love with President Lu's woman? Was she perhaps trying to act "ways to die" in real life?
