Lu Aotian had swung his hand and gripped both her hands so swiftly that she didn't see how exactly he moved.

"Are you even human?" She was awestruck as she glanced at her awesome husband.

"Do you think that I'm a superhuman of sorts?"

"Hey, I'm all sweaty from the training." He had lifted her up bride style and was walking towards the house.

"I don't mind." He even placed a soft kiss on her lips and continued on in steady steps.

For the next couple of days, Wan Jia would spend her mornings training and the rest of the day preparing for the fashion week. Of course, her husband and baby were not forgotten either. She spent her free time with them.

On Saturday morning, Wan Jia decided to spar with Lu Aotian. The other bodyguards watched from the sidelines. Their rookie madam sparring with their master? It looked like it would be quite hilarious. Perhaps the master would deliberately go easy on her?

Sadly, he wasn't intending to do that.

Thirty minutes later, she looked so tired that she almost gave up. Watching him dodge her attacks effortlessly as though he was doing nothing at all made her look like a little kitten trying to attack a tiger. This man wasn't giving her any face at all.

When he wasn't paying attention, she tried to sneak attack but he still gripped her in the same fashion as every other day.

Wan Jia felt she still had a very long way to go but she was not disappointed. She didn't want him to go easy on her either. If she wanted to have it easy, she may as well remain in the house and not waste her time in the training grounds.

As she had expected, Designer Shen didn't try to attack her on any other day. He waited until the day before the fashion week started. At the time, Wan Jia didn't even need to do anything. The man was stopped several metres away and dragged into a dark room to be tortured.

However, she didn't feel like her training was for nothing. It had just been a few days but she already felt slightly stronger.

"Boss, have you been undergoing training recently?" Su Ling looked at her that morning and asked.

"A little. Is it that obvious?"

Su Ling scanned her beautiful boss. "Of course! You are even more shapely and I can tell you are stronger just by one look."

Wan Jia chuckled. It was all thanks to her husband. She had spent more time trying to attack him than she did in training. If her body strength didn't increase in the slightest, she would be wasting her time on the training grounds.

Initially, it was only for a little self defense but now she felt like she wanted more than that. She wanted to be so skilled that she could protect the people around her. That would take long but luckily, she could spare that luch time.

"Everything is ready for tomorrow, right?" Wan Jia snapped out of her thoughts and asked Su Ling.

"Yes boss. Nothing will go wrong."

"Good. Make sure to keep yourself safe, alright? If you can't, ask Shaoting to let one bodyguard protect you. Designer Shen was captured but there might be others who want to try something funny."

Well, she didn't need to ask. Lu Shaoting had already ordered two men to protect her. She had just never seen them at work.

"Boss, I will definitely not get in trouble and drag you down."

Wan Jia frowned. The main point is your safety, okay? Forget it. As long as she is safe.

Wan Jia especially had a bad feeling about Ming Rui. She definitely wouldn't stop at trying to scout her assistant. And for her to do such gutsy things, she probably had a special background.

The next day, the fashion week officially started.

The women's show would be on the last day. On the other days, Wan Jia would only go to watch. She smiled thinking, the next year she would try to participate in the men's show. This year, she was not ready for that.

Ming Rui did not appear on the first day. But Wan Jia did not let her guard down. Perhaps she wanted to catch her unawares.

On the seventh day, Ming Rui finally appeared with another young woman in tow. When Wan Jia saw the other woman, she smirked. No wonder Ming Rui was gutsy. Did she think that just because she had close relations with the Yan family, Lu Enterprises wouldn't do anything to her?

The woman she had walked in with was Yan Xue's elder sister. A few seconds later, Yan Xue rushed up to them too. The three of them sauntered onto the VIP section and took their seats.

Wan Jia had everything in order, so she went to her seat to. As she passed near the three women, she unintentionally overheard them whisper. "Yan Xue, I am definitely going to teach her a lesson. But are you sure that I will definitely not get in trouble?"

Yan Xue sneered. "Please, not only are we Lu Enterprises' greatest allies, I will also be the second young madam of the Lu family very soon. They would not lay a finger on someone who has the protection of our Yan family for a mere designer. The Lu Family can't afford to lose us."

Wan Jia felt her lips twitch. How delusional.
