Actually, although Lu Aotian was not too sure about it, he could vaguely guess what was going on. If that man only wanted Lin Industries, he wouldn't play this game of power flaunting. But he obviously wanted something else. Revenge. Perhaps his in laws had offended someone they shouldn't have.

[Don't help him.] Came another text message.

The man probably knew that Lin Zhou might swallow his pride in a moment of desperation and ask Lu Aotian for help. If Lu Aotian helped Lin Zhou then all of that man's work would go to waste.

Lu Aotian replied with two messages.

[It doesn't concern me.]

He didn't like Lin Zhou either. It was not a feeling of insecurity as though Lin Zhou might hurt Wan Jia; it was purely dislike.

[Our battle is yet to begin]

That was right. He still had a lot to battle out with that man. Thinking about it, he did have a handful of enemies too.

"Do you think Lu Aotian has figured it out?"

"He must have. He is too intelligent."

"Father, why don't you send him a coded message instead? He might have found out who you are but he definitely will not understand your true intention. It won't turn out nicely if he thinks of you as an enemy."

Just as the son finished speaking, the father received a message. [Our battle is yet to begin.]

The son frowned. "What battle? Aren't we meant to be on the same page?"

The father coughed. "I may have… attacked Lu Enterprises for fun in the past. It was purely just a game. I didn't know he held such deep grudges."

"Do you have to Cause trouble wherever you go? Look what you have done! What are we going to do now? Wan Jia's life might be in danger and he may not necessarily be able to protect her and keep himself safe in the process. Don't forget that they also have a daughter now. You don't know how many Yuns are trying to get to them."

"Why are you so paranoid? I wouldn't be this settled if I wasn't sure about Lu Aotian's ability to protect them. Even if there were thousands of Yuns, they have to get past him first. Then they would have to get past me."

"Pfft! Like she would let you go near her."

Su Ling brought a wrapped package to Wan Jia. "Boss, this package arrived this morning. It's for you."

Wan Jia took it and was shocked at how heavy it was. What was that?

After unwrapping the package, she saw a metallic case. It had a pass code lock. Stuck onto it was a piece of paper. She plucked it off and opened it. There were a few zeroes and ones but when she keyed them in, it did not unlock.

What kind of joke was this? She tossed the case away along with the note. Was this some sort of prank? Forget about not having any form of address or message. Why did the sender give her a wrong password? Not to mention, that was the strangest password she had ever seen. Did they take her for a fool?

If Wan Jia knew what was in that case, she would not have tossed it away.

"Did you send it?"

"She must have received it by now. I instructed Andrew to make sure she is alone when she receives it."

"What about the password?"

"I wrote a code. It's a hint that she will definitely understand."

The son held his head and paced around helplessly. "What wrong did I do in my past life to deserve such a brainless father? Since when does Wan Jia know about codes?!"

"Wan Jia doesn't, but Lu Aotian does."

"Why don't you just shut up? Your instruction was to make sure that she receives it when she is alone. What if she directly threw it away?"

Wan Jia continued training with Small Xing every day and her skills were becoming more obvious. Aside from that and her job, she attended many business banquets with Lu Aotian; both as the lady boss of Lu Enterprises and to learn a thing or two from him.

On a certain Wednesday evening, she was attending one such banquet. One of Lu Enterprises' subsidiaries had just completed a huge project that would gain tremendous profit. It would even possibly double the already terrifying value of Lu Enterprises. Such an accomplishment definitely called for celebration.

Following Lu Shaoting's suggestion, the banquet was held in Emerald Grand Hotel.

Wan Jia finished dressing up and left her room in a purple gown. It was simple but made her look as beautiful as ever.

"Mommy, are you leaving Little Jia alone?" the little girl was in the living room when she saw her mother dressed up for a banquet. She ran up to her and looked up pitifully.

Wan Jia felt her heart ache when she saw her daughter's pitiful look. She had really been spending less time with her daughter recently. Was she busying herself too much and not spending enough time with her family? "Baby…"

"Mommy, can you not go? Little Jia is feeling sad today." As soon as the words left her mouth, huge drops of tears rolled out of her big eyes.
