Henry Blanc's return to his home country was long overdue. He had cancelled his flight before so he could spend more time with his queen. He would have the company's documents sent to him on his laptop and work in his manor.

Since his visits to Country C were very frequent, he had bought some properties to avoid having to spend his time in hotel rooms.

However, something happened at Le Blanc Group recently and it required his presence. He could only tell his Lu friends about it and prepare to go back.

When he told Lu Aotian and Lu Shaoting about it, he had already booked a flight for the next afternoon.

Lu Shaoting couldn't bear to let him go without a proper send off, so he hoped everyone was free for a meal that evening. He had already made plans to drink with Xu Liaowen so he just dragged him along.

It had been very long since Kara went out too. They left Small Xixi in the care of her maternal grandmother and made their way to North Side Villa.

With Xu Liaowen and Kara present this time, Henry Blanc wouldn't have to feel like an outsider for being the only one who wasn't part of their family.

Luckily, Wan Jia wasn't too busy and neither was Su Ling. As for the female lead of this gathering, Lin Lihua, she was still on her break after shooting a long and tiresome movie. Wan Jia was the one who could invite her.

"Hello, Sis."

Lin Lihua had learnt a lot about her younger sister and knew from her tone that she was up to something naughty. "What sort of trouble are you up to this time?"

Wan Jia sounded wronged. "If I'm not seeking trouble, I can't give my sister a call?"

"Your calls lately have always been accompanied with disaster. Don't blame me for associating you with disaster."

Wan Jia ignored her taunting remark and went to the main point. "Aotian and I have employed new chefs in the North Side Villa. I want to try out their cooking but my husband is too busy to come. Could you accompany me?"

Lin Lihua was silent for a moment before replying with a question. "Is it just me or does your voice seem to carry a hint of mischief?"

"Do you hate me so much that you think I'm always up to mischief?"

Lin Lihua laughed. Her sister really loved to act like a spoilt child. "Fine, give me the adress. But you must know that if you are up to something regrettable, not even Lu Aotian will be able to save you."

"Sure sure. You definitely won't have to beat me up." Wan Jia hung up happily.

Everyone else had arrived at North Side Villa.

When she arrived, they fell into discussion. Lu Aotian took out a little box and stuffed it into Henry Blanc's palm.

"This is..." he opened the box and his charming blue eyes widened. A very exquisite looking diamond ring with tiny diamonds embedded at the edges. It looked like a ring fit for a grand proposal.

"Take it as a gift from Lu Enterprises to Le Blanc Group"

Henry Blanc still looked doubtful. "She hasn't even accepted to be my girlfriend yet. How would she accept to be my wife?"

Lu Aotian: "Cough, it doesn't have an expiry date, but you can't wait until she's taken."

Lu Shaoting cheered him on too. "You are too handsome already. Every woman would fall in love with you. (Of course, that doesn't include my Su Ling).

I don't think she would reject you."

Xu Liaowen had a word too. "You don't have to succeed on your first proposal. I proposed to Kara five times before she was finally moved."

Wan Jia, Kara and Su Ling silently let the men cheer their friend on.

A few minutes later, the sound of a car engine was heard.

It was a prelude to an exciting show.

"My sister is here." Wan Jia smiled and looked at Henry Blanc. The man's charming pair of blue eyes was suddenly filled with what looked like panic. He left to use the restroom.

Lin Lihua was brought in by a servant. She was surprised to see so many people but quickly adjusted to it. After she greeted her sister and everyone else, she looked around and although there were still empty seats, there didn't seem to be any that was already taken. So...there was no one else in this gathering. Something flashed in her eyes.

Wan Jia couldn't let this chance go. "Sis, are you looking for something...or...someone?"

Lin Lihua glared at her. "I'm looking for your sister! Anyway I thought you did something worth of recieving a beating." Her unsaid words were, I thought you would call me and call Henry Blanc too; to try and matchmake us again. I clearly didn't want that but why do I feel sad that you didn't?

Wan Jia kept teasing. "Is it just me or does my sister look sad?"

The other two women joined in.

Su Ling: "She does look a little disappointed."

Kara: "She looks like a princess who waited for her prince charming all night only for him to bail out on her."

The men burst into laughter. These women could really tease.

Lin Lihua tried not to blush and glared at all of them. What did they mean by such words? Could they not make it seem like she liked Henry Blanc?
