"Why do you have to test my wife? She'll be spending her life with me, not you." Lu Shaoting expressed his displeasure. Why was his father being so difficult?

"It's a family policy. If your wife turns out to be the weakness by your side, how do you think that will affect the company?"

Lu Shaoting looked confused. "What do you mean? That's for the head lady." In fact, he didn't remember Wan Jia ever being tested.

"Who said other daughters-in-law can't be tested? Our family doesn't have many members, but we have uncountable partners. Can she handle that? Can she handle company matters? "I can guarantee that she is well brought up. As for handling business matters, that shouldn't be a problem. I've been teaching her a thing or two." He wasn't very confident saying this, as his so called teaching wasn't as reasonable as Lu Aotian's to Wan Jia. Somehow, he felt his father had a point. Many people had tried to trick Wan Jia into agreeing to deals that wouldn't be of benefit to Lu Enterprises. It was just lucky that Wan Jia had been sticking around Lu Aotian and learning to gauge everything. If they did the same thing to Su Ling and she didn't know how to handle them then got used by them, wouldn't it be tragic?

"Then why are you scared of letting her go through the test? Are you scared I will make things difficult for your woman?" Lu Tongyan taunted.

He shook his head. "I understand. I'll tell her about it."

"Watch your image next time. Don't let the Lu family get scolded for not bringing up children properly." He was talking about today's incident.

"I understand."

"Why do I have to go through a test?" Su Ling asked nervously when he told her about it.

"Don't be scared. It's not like you will be asked to walk on fire and swim through ice."

Su Ling had an idea. "I'll ask my boss to give me some tips."

Lu Shaoting wished to tell her but he didn't know how to. Wan Jia couldn't help her even if she wanted to.

At the same time, Lu Tongyan paid his eldest son a visit. The father and son dicussed over a game of GO in the study.

"Isn't Wanwan supposed to go to Country A to negotiate a project collaboration on Thursday? Leave that task to Su Ling." Lu Tongyan said out of now here.

"Leave it for who now?" Lu Aotian who never made jokes with his father laughed aloud. Was this a prank of sorts?

"What are you laughing at? Can't she do it?"

Lu Aotian restored his serious face. "I see you're putting my little sister-in-law under a test. But isn't this going overboard? I was already being hard on my wife when I gave her this task. How can a rookie at business handle it?"

"Do you also think I'm being unreasonable?"

He saw Lu Aotian's look and changed his mind. "On second thought, don't answer me." That look…the answer was going to be heartbreaking.

"I don't know what to say…This project is of extreme importance. It determines whether Lu Enterprises will be able to set foot in Country A." He had given it to Wan Jia to test her true ability. If she could do it on her own, then she would be considered a business guru.

"Then let them go together. In fact, I haven't Wanwan either." Lu Tongyan suggested.

He didn't want to leave them alone with the nannies all the time either.

So, three wives were set to go to Country A to negotiate the same deal, but none of them knew about it yet.
