When Wan Jia woke up, it was 11am. The marks on her fair skin were the evidence of the tiresome activities from last night. She couldn't even keep count of how many times they did it. She found it amazing that Lu Aotian managed to get up and go ahead doing his business so early this morning.

Getting out of bed, she took a bath and slipped into a pair of jeans and a pink turtleneck sweater. Thanks to Lu Aotian's loss of control the previous night, her neck and chest were covered in hickeys.

As soon as Wan Jia appeared downstairs, an elder nanny rushed to greet her. "Young Madam, you're awake."

Wan Jia responded to her greeting with a warm smile. "I'm going to the old residence."

The nanny rushed to stop her. "You have not had anything to eat since you woke up. The chef prepared some dishes for you." The elder nanny couldn't help but sigh in her heart. Young madam was just like the little young miss. If they got the chance, they would slip away to avoid having meals. She wondered just how their stomachs were structured.

Wan Jia realized that she indeed felt hungry. "Alright, thanks for the trouble."

The nanny rushed to lay the table while smiling to herself. She was wearing a turtleneck!

Having taken care of the Lu brothers since they were young, she understood them like her own sons. She had been transferred from the old residence recently when Lu Tongyan felt that the two of them were in a fight. As a woman her age and with her understanding of Lu Aotian, she would try to reconcile them.

But, she didn't even have the chance to flaunt her skills and she was already dressed like this! It was obvious what they did all night.

She was all smiles as she brought the dishes to Wan Jia. She also served a bowl of soup. "This herbal soup is my specialty. It's quite nourishing especially to young women."

"Thank you."

After having a delicious meal and a nourishing meal, Wan Jia left for the Lu residence.

"Mommy, can I stay a little more?" Little Jia looked at her mother pitifully when she saw her. Her expression was as though she was being separated from the love of her life. She was ready to ask her grandfather for help if her mother intended to take her away forcefully.

Wan Jia was speechless. After not seeing for two whole days, did her daughter not miss her at all? The first thing she said to her was to let her stay a little more? She hadn't even spared her a second look after greeting her.

"You want to stay and play with grandpa? But you can't leave mommy and daddy alone. We miss you very much." So much that because she wanted to bring her daughter back home, she had forgotten that she was still grounded. "How about grandpa stays at our house for some time?"

Little Jia was about to nod but then she shook her head. "But Little Jia wants to play with second aunty. Second Aunty will not be busy today and she promised to play with me. Can I, mommy?"

Wan Jia finally understood her. So she had gained a new friend. This little girl, could anyone name one single person that she hadn't ever clung to? As long as you were kind to her, she would be your little friend.

It was a Saturday and Wan Jia didn't have much going on either. "Mommy isn't busy either. I will play with your aunt and you, okay?"

Little Jia was overjoyed. She placed a kiss on her mother's cheek and bounced away happily.

One had to notice that although Little Jia straight up addressed Su Ling as her second aunt, no one corrected her. Of course, Wan Jia and Lu Aotian didn't have any problem with that. Su Ling was Lu Shaoting's girlfriend and they believed that they would marry soon. As for Lu Tongyan, it was perhaps because he didn't want to displease his precious granddaughter. She wouldn't like anyone who wasn't kind and if Su Ling was at any point unkind, Little Jia would stop liking her.

Meanwhile, Su Ling was pruning flowers in the backyard. No one had put her up to do this; she loved flowers and was happy to do it. She picked a few daisies, roses and lilies, putting them in beautiful antique flower vases. Just like Lin Lihua, she loved lilies the most.

The maid who was helping her couldn't help but compliment. "Miss Su Ling, you and Second young master make a perfect match. You will definitely stay together for a hundred years."

There wasn't anyone who disliked compliments. Su Ling liked them too. She thanked the little maid.

But the little maid seemed to have more to say. "Do you know why Master is putting you to a test?"

"To make sure I truly love Shaoting and I'm not using him for his wealth and status?"

She whispered closer to Su Ling. "You're wrong. It's because you may be the next head lady."

"Don't be silly. My sister-in-law is the head lady and it suits her."

The maid looked at her as though she was a fool. "That's not exactly true. If you defeat Wan Jia, you will be the next head lady. I overhead something…Urgh forget it. It wouldn't be nice if master found out I told you this."
