A week later.

Southside Villas, Villa number 2.

"What did you just say?"

"You've got to be kidding me. Are you seriously moving the company's headquarters because of a woman?"

Mr. Blanc and Mrs. Blanc were so shocked that they almost suffered heart attacks. Their dear son had just told them that he wanted to move the headquarters of Le Blanc Group to Country C and settle down here permanently.

"I want to know who that woman is, that she can convince my son to do such a thing." Mrs. Blanc harrumphed.

"Mum, calm down. This is my decision. It has nothing to do with her. I've wanted to settle down in this country since I first set foot here." Henry Blanc exolained.

The Blanc couple didn't believe him. "You're only saying that to shield her. Who is that woman? I want to see her with my own eyes." Mrs. Blanc almost cursed whoever that woman was. Did she put her son up to this?

"Henry, if she doesn't want to go back home with you, there are many young women in our country who would give anything to be your wife. Does it have to be her?"

Henry Blanc had expected such a reaction from his parents so he wasn't in the least bit shocked. "Listen, Mum, dad, can you both calm down? Only then can your son explain everything."

"Listen to you tell me that you want to leave your mother all alone? Is that what you are saying?" Mrs. Blanc loved her son and would be terribly hurt if he left home for good.

"Don't you have dad to keep you company?"

"It's not the same."

"You still have Amy and Katy. Besides, who said anything about abandoning you? You're still my mum and I still love you. Who would give up on such a beautiful and elegant woman as my mum?"

"You are changing the topic again!" She knew her son too well.

A servant ran in to report that Lin Lihua had arrived.

He had wanted to talk to his parents about moving the company's headquarters before Lin Lihua's arrival. Unfortunately, the discussion lasted longer than expected and now here they were.

"She's here." He said.

"Uh-huh. Let her in. I want to know what kind of goddess she is." Mrs. Blanc said. Her son only shot her a warning look. If she deliberately did anything humiliating to his wife, he wouldn't be friendly with her. Mr. Blanc was calm the whole time.

As soon as Lin Lihua appeared in her vicinity, Mrs. Blanc squinted her eyes. Why does this woman look so much like…

He stood to receive her and introduced her to his parents. "Mum, dad, this is my fiancée, Lin Lihua. Lihua, meet my parents."

As soon as he finished speaking, Mrs. Blanc could no longer hide her excitement. "You're really Lin Lihua! No wonder you looked so familiar. Goodness! Here I was wondering just who the lucky guy that won your heart is."

"Uncle, aunty, it's nice to meet you." Lin Lihua said modestly.

Mrs. Blanc took Lin Lihua's hand excitedly. "Why are you so polite? I'm your mother-in-law. Come here, I have something for you." She pulled her to the sofa and sat next to her.

Then, as though it was the most natural thing to do, she took a bracelet off her wrist and put it on Lin Lihua's wrist.

"Aunty this…"

"Don't worry. It's not expensive. Just wear it, okay? Your wrist is fairer and looks absolutely pretty with this bracelet on it."

Of course she knew that it was expensive. She had worn many pieces of expensive jewelry and could tell the value of one at a glance. This one was obviously exorbitant. However, she couldn't reject considering it was a gift from her future mother-in-law. "Thank you aunty."

At the side, the father and son were baffled. Who was it that said just now, that she wanted to see what kind of woman was able to convince her son into making such huge decisions? Who was it that sounded as though she hated her future daughter-in-law before even meeting her? Wasn't this change of attitude too fast? You even gave her the family bracelet just like that?

"Ahem, since the both of you like each other already then…"

His mother interrupted him. "Whatever it is can wait. I want to tell Amy about this then have a nice chat with my daughter-in-law."

Henry Blanc was speechless.

Instantly, Mrs. Blanc made a video call to Country F.

"Amy, guess what? I met your sister-in-law." She looked as excited as a kid who just saw a room full of candy.

"Really? You can finally stop lamenting about my brother being on his own."

"Do you know who your brother's fiancée is? You will never be able to guess. When he said that it is someone I know, I thought it was someone from the company or one of those women he grew up with."

Amy Blanc didn't seem too interested. "Who is she?"

"Lin Lihua."

"Who is that? Wait, that actress you have liked for years?"

She tilted her phone so Amy Blanc could see Lin Lihua on the screen. "That very one. Isn't fate amazing?" her smile was contagious and made people want to smile too.

Amy Blanc hesitated before answering. "I don't know. She may be beautiful but that's it. Do you know what kind of woman she is? She is an actress, mom."

"What's wrong with that? Your daughter wants to be one in future."

"My daughter will not need to do anything indecent to gain fame. Her family is rich."

Mrs. Blanc felt her heart ache as she retaliated. "Lihua's family is rich too. Anyway I wouldn't care. She is a nice person and suits your brother. Keep your opinions to yourself."

Amy Blanc chuckled. "Alright. But perhaps someone has to tell you. Old women give birth to dim-witted children; if they can even give birth to start with." After saying that, she hung up.
