Carla could only explain what she had been told. "It's an explosion. Some kids are hurt and I can't get any news about Little Miss...I can't get through to President Lu either." Her legs were shaking, as though scared that Wan Jia would be too shocked.

"Shall I send people to check on Little Miss?"

Wan Jia had already stood up and picked her jacket. "I'm going there."

Wan Jia had already dashed out of the office and into the elevator.

If anything happened to her, President Lu would kill her.

She made a call to someone. "First madam just rushed to Royal Kindergarten. Send ten bodyguards after her."

In Royal Kindergarten, it was a mess.

The police and doctors were trying to find and save the kids who had been injured.

Luckily, no life had been reported to have been lost.

Parents were kicking a fuss about wanting to see their children.

When Wan Jia arrived, she was denied entry by the police just like the other parents.

"Ma'am, you can't go in there. It's still dangerous." The police officer recognized her. Although he didn't want to get on her bad side, it would be more troublesome if he allowed her to go in.

"I want to see my baby!" Wan Jia's face was soaked in tears.

"Ma'am, we will try our best to save your child. Please be patient."

However, Wan Jia became even more agitated. "Let go of me! Tell me about patience whe your child is in danger!"

Seeing that she would be difficult to handle, the police officer summoned a doctor at the side to inject her with an antidepressant.

Right before she got to it, someone pulled her aside. "What are you doing?"

It was a voice she recognized. She turned to look at him. "Qian Li? What are you doing here?"

"I'm a doctor, but you should leave."

Wan Jia was momentarily dazed. Qian Li wanted to use this moment to knock her out.

However, she caught his movement. "What are you doing? You filthy bast*rd!" She ran back towards the ruble.

Qian Li and other doctors ran after her. Qian Li tried to stop her. "Wait! Stay out of this or you might hurt your baby!"

Wan Jia glared at the doctors that had successfully blocked her path. "My baby might be in there."

In the next second, she turned and looked at Qian Li. "What did you say? What baby?"

Qian Li was trying his best to stop her. "Your unborn baby."

"What?!"

Qian Li furrowed his eyebrows. "You...You're not pregnant? When I saw you just now, I thought you were. Anyway, you still shouldn't go in there."

At this moment, Lu Aotian emerged from behind the collapsed building. Little Jia was unconcious in his arms. There was a little blood on her forehead.

When Wan Jia saw them, she ran over so fast that she almost tripped. "Aotian! Little Jia!"

Lu Aotian was shocked by her presence but seeing her tears, he didn't have the heart to scold her. "Our baby is fine. She fainted from the shock."

Wan Jia was relieved and touched her daughter's body carefully, afraid that she would hurt her.

"Let Doctor Qiao take a look at her, to be sure that nothing else is wrong."

Only then did she realize that there was a woman behind Lu Aotian. She went foward and took Little Jia carefully, asked for a stretcher while trying to pacify Wan Jia. "She will be fine."

Wan Jia's tears were still running freely. "But the blood..."

Doctor Qiao tried to sound calm. For Little Jia to be unharmed in such a situation, someone must have saved her. "I'll check for internal injuries. She must have been cut by something in her unconcious state."

Doctor Qiao then ran to examine Little Jia.

The two of them left, Lu Aotian looked for Qian Li who was checking the pulse of a little boy. "What did you say about my wife just now?"

Qian Li coughed. "Pardon me, I only made an assumption based on the change in her eyes. If you don't mind, this child needs my attention."

Lu Aotian didn't ask anymore. He left with Wan Jia as he made a call. "Find out what happened in detail."

Who dared to do such things to little children? How hurftul. Didn't their conscience hurt?

"You should go home. I'll follow Little Jia to the hospital." He said to Wan Jia.

Wan Jia clung onto his arm stubbonly. "I'll go with you."

He knew that she wouldn't agree to go home so he could only take her along.

She fell asleep as soon as her seatbelt was fastened.

Halfway through, she jolted awake. "I think he's right!"

Lu Aotian gave her a side glance. "Who?"

"My period is late. My mind must have been so occupied that I didn't notice."
