Yun Jifeng still found something wrong with what he was saying. "If the wine was that dangerous, why did you drink it?"

The man chuckled lightly. "Do you think I would put my own life in danger?" He waved a small bottle of something. Without having to say it, Yun Jifeng guessed that it was the antidote. He must have already taken it to afford such an amount of indifference.

It would not make any sense if Lu Aotian merely took the antidote to increase his lifespan. It had to be the one to completely cure the poison.

"What do you want?" He could only grit his teeth to ask.

Although the feeling was obvious, he did not want to admit the fact that Lu Aotian's presence in itself intimidated him to the point that he felt like a pauper before an emperor. He was so uncomfortable that he wanted to bite his tongue and die.

Lu Aotian twirled the little bottle leisurely. Yun Jifeng's eyes involuntarily followed the motion. His heart was filled with fear. Great ancestor! Please be careful. That little thing is made of delicate glass. My life greatly depends on it!

Lu Aotian shoved the little glass bottle into the air and caught it before it fell. "I dislike Yun Wei very much. I wonder what..."

Before he completed his statement, Yun Jifeng interrupted him. "I will kill him! Just say the word and I will finish him off within an hour... no. Within thirty minutes. Just say the word."

Lu Aotian raised an eyebrow. This Yun Jifeng was rather interesting. He had meant to make him testify against General Yun in court. That was one of the reasons why he had kept an idiot around- to turn against the other idiot. Neither of the idiots would escape the grip of death anyway. As for the main reason...

The man chuckled and took another sip of the poisonous wine.

"Please yourself." In a flash, he let go of the little glass bottle. The bottle shattered to the floor with a crash!

"No!"

Yun Jifeng's eyes went wide. How could he... the antidote!

Falling onto his knees, he tried to scoop up the bluish liquid that had spilled onto the floor. Some tiny shards cut into his skin but he did not care. His life was more important. He licked his hand that had touched some of it.

When he couldn't scoop any liquid up, he stuck out his tongue and licked it up, including some of the shards. To save his own life, he was putting it at risk.

Lu Aotian placed a hand against his chin. "I could watch that all day."

Yun Jifeng got up with a look of triumph. He used the back of his hand to wipe off the little trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth. It was all thanks to the shards. "I have taken the antidote. What else can you do, huh?"

He looked at his watch with hus arrogant eyes. "I would like to play with you a little more but since I'm no longer of any use to you, why don't you let me go?"

"What antidote?"

Yun Jifeng stared at him with a confused expression. "The one I just took. The little glass bottle, remember?"

"All I saw was a stupid man falling onto his knees and licking my shoes just so he could drink the second type of poison which is worse than the first."

"WHAT?!!" Yun Jifeng pointed his finger at him. "You are lying! You son of a *****!"

"So what if I'm lying? Doesn't your stomach hurt?"

Yun Jifeng finally realized it. Indeed, it hurt. No, it was on fire. What had this man given him?

"That's on behalf of the Blanc family. And now for the Lu family..."

"Lu Aotian! You cannot do this!"

Lu Aotian found it boring to continue watching him. "Get him out. When he wants to come back, you can let him in."

"No! I will not leave!" He tried to put up a fight but was lifted up like a little baby and thrown out of the room.

He still stood up and tried to fight his way in.

Lu Aotian really wanted to laugh aloud. You are a dying man already. Why don't you behave properly like one?

Outside, Yun Jifeng wanted to cry but there were no tears. Was he letting him go like this?

This hurt so much. It was as though there was a highly reactive acid in his stomach. Was this how he was supposed to feel for five years?

Lu Aotian was probably lying. Within just a day or two, the pain would kill him.

Inside, Lu Aotian was in thought. His plan was not to kill him within such a short while. He had an antidote, but it would only make the pain lessen for a day or two. It would start hurting again. He did not mind playing such a game with him for years.

In attempt to please Lu Aotian and get the antidote, Yun Jifeng forfeited his plan. He had intially wanted to present his father's medical records in court.

Because of his mental condition, he would not be executed for any of those crimes he had commited since being diagonized with that mental disorder. He would be taken to a mental assylum which was a better ending.

He would just break out of it and change his identity.

However, he needed the antidote now. His life was more important than anything else. Therefore he hid all medical records and bought off the doctors so they would not reveal a word of it.

The next month during his second hearing, Yun Wei was sentenced to death by the firing squad.
