Xu Tang was aware of this. "Thanks for the suggestion but no, thank you. I only want to apologize to her. I shouldn't have done what I did."

Lin Lihua found it funny. Why were youngsters so naïve? When would this young man realize that he didn't just care about Lu Meili's feelings? He loved her so much that it was visible in his eyes as he admitted his faults. Was he so blind to his own heart?

Xu Tang didn't understand Lin Lihua's sudden change of mind. All that mattered was that he was able to see Meili again.

Lin Lihua watched him leave. If such a loving relationship was broken because of a minor mistake, you could as well say that evil triumphed over good.

As for her own marriage, forget about it. That one was filled with too much darkness.

Lu Meili glanced at her phone angrily.

"Why didn't he call again?"

"Right, I blocked him."

"But any normal man's first reaction should be to use another phone to call, right?"

"Hmph! Whatever. Why would I care? It's not like I still love him."

She resumed her dance.

"Why do you keep your blindfold on when dancing?" She heard a voice interrupt her.

She hurriedly ripped off the blindfold. "Xu Tang, what are you doing here?"

Most importantly, why did she not feel him come in? She must have been too engrossed into her dance. It was proof of her progress.

Lu Meili glared at him. "Why are you telling me? Who asked you?"

Xu Tang changed the song. "I remember a certain someone asked me to teach her to dance. I'm only performing the role I was assigned."

He took her small hand. "Little angel Li, I'm sorry. I was too rude that day."

Lu Meili pulled her hand back and crossed her arms over her chest. "A certain someone said that my presence made it impossible to be with their girlfriend."

Xu Tang pulled his ears. "That someone learnt his lesson. No matter who I like, no one will be as important as the people closest to me. Meili, you are not just my childhood playmate. You are the person closest to me and I care about you the most."

Lu Meili watched him pull his ears in apology like they would do when they were kids.

"Little angel Li, will you forgive me?"

Pfft. Who are you calling 'Little angel'? You are obviously the little angel. If the employees of Xu Corporation saw how adorable their CEO looked right now, they would drop their mouths to the floor.

"Hey! Stop pulling your ears so hard. They will become as long as a rabbit's. I really want to whip out my phone and take photos of the great CEO Xu acting childish."

Hearing her joke around, he knew that she was probably not mad at him anymore.

Lu Meili shut him up with a finger over his mouth. "If you stop saying misleading things, I will forgive you."
