Mishi's sleep broke when her phone rang. She looked at the blanket over her and then picked her phone from the table. It was from Chang.

"Ah...hello Chang."

"Sisi morning. Well we decided to meet mom in the evening so please join us," said Chang.

"Okay...I'll call you and then pick you both up," said Mishi.

"Okay, " said Chang and hung up the call. She got up from the couch and went to Xian's bedroom to tell him that she's going home. She saw Xian struggling in applying the ointment on his shoulder. She walked to him and took the ointment from him.

"Sit," said Mishi.

"It's fine. I'll apply myself," said Xian.

"Just sit," said Mishi. Xian silently sits on the bed. Mishi tied her hair to a bun and then stood before him. She put the ointment on his shoulder. He winced in pain. "Bare with this….I think it's getting increased. Are you putting pressure on it?," asked Mishi while applying the ointment.

Xian looked at her and said, "my biggest pain is not to be with you." Mishi stopped rubbing his shoulder and looked at him. "Can't you give me a chance?," asked Xian. Mishi stepped back and said, "from now on don't pick me like you did last night. If there will be any work related to the project then tell my Secretary. I will come only in day time, don't ever try to stretch the work till night. I will be back off the project if you will try to get close with me, let's be close till the professional level. I apologize for hurting you but it won't happen in future." Saying this Mishi put the ointment on the table.

"You want me to let you go?," asked Xian. Mishi looked at him and then said, "Yes."

Xian looked at her and smiled. "Mishi I didn't even start yet. I won't let you go. Well the things that you have told me I'll keep that in my mind."

Mishi wanted to say further when the doorbell rang. Mishi went out to open the door.

"Mark. It's good you came. I'm going," said Mishi.

"Mishi I'll drop you," said Mark.

"That's fine. I'll go myself," said Mishi. She came to the living room to pick her wallet and phone. Mark wanted to say something but she walked away from there.

Mark went inside Xian's bedroom, who was resting on the bed with pillows on the back. "Xian what happened? Why did Mishi leave?," asked Mark.

"She doesn't want to give me a second chance. It's like she's taking revenge from me for the things I did to her. Mark I'm regretting the day, the day I believed her lies; the day I threw her out; the day I didn't even go after her to stop her. It's hurting Mark," said Xian with tears in his eyes.

Mark sat beside him and said, "I told you earlier to accept her truly. It's obvious she won't ever come to you because she believed you in every way. But you did? You separated her from her siblings that day. Give her time and don't force her. Love also needs patience Xian. Mishi will come to you one day," said Mark.

"Xian, Yuwan will be here in an hour. I told him to meet us as I had found something about Yin. Lan Zhan is also coming," said Mark.

"What did you find out?," asked Xian.

"Xian we both trusted the wrong girl. Yin is our best friend so I always neglected her wrong things but she did something big two years ago which destroyed your relationship with Mishi. Let them come first," said Mark. They waited for them. After an hour Yuwan reached there with Lan Zhan. Yes, Mark has told Lan Zhan to accompany him.

They came inside Xian's bedroom.

"Mishi has given you a good beating," said Lan Zhan and laughed.

"You wanted me to die by her hands?," asked Xian.

"Haha….I think your mind has now come to the right path," said Lan Zhan and sat on the chair there.

"Yuwan sorry to call you like this, " said Xian and tried getting up.

"It's fine, Xian. Well you don't need to get up...just rest," said Yuwan and sat on the chair beside Lan Zhan.

"So let's get to the topic. Two years ago Mishi lied every single thing to you and made you sign the divorce papers. This was all planned by Yin. I investigated the case and found really interesting things about her. The day those things happened, Yin met with Mishi in a cafe near her house in the morning.

After she came home and then she told you to sign the divorce papers. This thing I already knew two years ago but I didn't tell you because I didn't have evidence against her ," said Lan Zhan.

"You should've told me Zhan. Why didn't you tell me?," asked Xian angrily and tried getting up.

"Your anger issue was the first reason and second reason was that you weren't in your right mind that year. For 3 months you forget about yourself and keep on drinking in the bed and in this house. Calm down now," said Lan Zhan and got up from the chair.

"Yin tried to kill Mishi. I mean she almost killed her but Yuwan saved her life that day," said Lan Zhan. Xian looked at him and without wasting any second he jumped out of the bed, wore his slippers and then stepped ahead. Lan Zhan held his arm and said, "Sit now. Don't take law in your hand."

"She tried killing her Zhan. I won't spare her ," said Xian angrily.

"And you will kill her?," asked Zhan looking into Xian's eyes.

"Should I spare her then?," asked Xian and jerked his hand.

"That's why Mishi didn't go home when I asked her about her family. I never knew her ex husband was hot headed to this level," said Yuwan. Xian looked at him.

"You won't understand," said Xian and sat on the bed.

"I'm the one who can understand more than you. For one whole year she only cried, she didn't utter a single word. I tried hard to talk with her but she never spoke a word with me. Xian, she was in very serious condition.

The day she almost died in that accident. You should thank God that I reached there by chance. She had very less chances to survive but she survived. Xian, she has lost trust in you a long time ago. Now I want you to not come into her life because she is my patient and I think you're not suitable for her, " said Yuwan.

Xian looked at him and said, "I will decide this myself if I have to enter her life or not. I know I did wrong with her but I also know that she still loves me."

"Xian, calm down. First handle Yin. I've arrested the goons who she has hired that day for her murder and now I've to arrest her. Come with me to the police station. Yuwan, please call Mishi as her statement is important," said Zhan.

"Okay," said Yuwan and left the house.

Xian and Mark were sitting on the chairs in the police station when Lan Zhan came with Yin. Xuan immediately got up from his seat and walked to Yin. "Why did you do that?," asked Xian.

"Because you rejected me Xi'an. I was with you in your tough times but you never looked at me with those eyes as you looked at Mishi ," said Yin with teary eyes.

"You were my best friend Yin. I never thought you would try to kill her….," said Xian. Yin didn't say anything. Lan Zhan and his two junior colleagues took her from there. After a few minutes Zhan came there and said, "Now let's wait for Mishi because she is the victim." He told them to sit on the chairs and till then he worked on the other cases.

Mishi arrived there with Yuwan after a while. "Mishi," mumbled Xian but she ignored her and went to Lan Zhan.

"Thanks for investigating the case," said Mishi.

"Have a seat Mishi," said Lan Zhan and told her to sign on the papers. She did so.

"Mishi, the court will give justice. So tomorrow you've to come to give the statements there," said Lan Zhan. Mishi nodded and thanked him. Xian tried talking with her but she ignored him and walked away from there with Yuwan.
