Yuwan came to the kitchen and found Xia was preparing for the dinner. Yuwan wore an apron and told Xia that she should just do some side work as he will prepare dinner for them.

"But you came just from the office. Let me do it. You can do on the weekend," murmured Xia and carried the pan, putting it on the stove. Yuwan put his hands on Xia's shoulder and questioned, "Xia, don't you wanna eat the first dinner made by your husband?"

"I want to. But the same goes for you...Don't You wanna eat first dinner made by your wife?," Xia threw her question at him. Yuwan smiled and pinched her nose. "We can do one thing. You will help me only," muttered Yuwan.

Xia rubbed her nose and nodded saying she would love to help him. "But what are you making?," inquired Xia excitedly.

"Stuffed Eggplant with Schezwan Sauce as a side dish; Peri Peri Chicken Satay as the starter and Almond and Chicken Momos as the main dish," replied Yuwan.

Xia was surprised to hear that Yuwan will prepare such cuisines. "Who taught you these?," asked Xia.

"I learnt this from Mishi. She insisted me to learn this as she wanted me to cook these for my future wife, that's you," answered Yuwan.

Xia gave him a smile and said, "Let's then get started." Yuwan put some amount of olive oil in the pan to heat that up. After chopping the veggies, he told Xia to take the cornflower as he had to deep fry the eggplant in the oil. Both helped each other and after an hour all the dishes were ready.

Xia set the small dining table for them. Yuwan was emptying the food in the dishes and took them at the dinner table. Making Xia sit on the chair, he served her the meal first. "Eat and tell me how it is," Yuwan said in a low voice.

"Let's eat together," stated Xia.

"First wife will taste it and then I'll eat," muttered Yuwan and remained in standing position. Xia took a bite of almond chicken balls and then looked at Yuwan. "Delicious. You cook so well." Xia praised Yuwan and then tasted other dishes too.

Yuwan smiled and sat beside her. They both started eating, enjoying each other's company. "Yuwan, you are really a good cook. I'm happy that I'm your wife else you wouldn't have let me taste these," murmured Xia while caressing her tummy.

"Eh...no maybe I would've made for you then as we are best friends," Yuwan put his point and then stood up from the chair to take the dishes to wash. Xia too went inside the kitchen. "Yuwan, I'll wash. Keep them there. Go to the room and take some rest. You have done so much work since you've come from the office," murmured Xia and started cleaning the stove on the platform.

"It's fine. I always used to do," murmured Yuwan and started washing them when Xia put her hands on his both hands. Yuwan stopped because of this in the midway. "Go to your room, I'll do it." Grumbled Xia and took out gloves from his hands. Yuwan wanted to speak but then he didn't and quietly left for the room.

After fifteen minutes, Xia came to the room and saw Yuwan was reading a book on the bed. She went to the dresser there and started brushing her hair. "Which book is it?," asked Xia while brushing her hair.

"A business tycoon," replied Yuwan. Xia nodded and after applying the night cream on her face, she told Yuwan that she can sleep on the couch.

"Why?," asked Yuwan. The question was sudden for Xia.

She blinked her eyes a few times. "I mean why would you sleep there when the bed is so huge? You can sleep on one side and I'll be on my side. I won't harm you," murmured Yuwan and then again fixed his gaze in the book.

"Ah...I thought you must be feeling awkward that's why...like.." Yuwan closed the book and put it on the side table beside the bed.

"Xia, if we will be awkward with each other then we won't be able to go ahead in this relationship. I mean we both will see each other as friends and not as a couple. I know things were sudden but now we are married, I want to give my wife every happiness of this world. I'm tired...Let's sleep," saying this Yuwan laid down on the bed, covering himself from the blanket.

Xia turned off the lights and switched on a dim yellow light. She got into the bed and slept facing his back to Yuwan.

A train of thoughts started revolving in Xia's mind. "Ahh...Why am I getting nervous? He's my husband. We even kissed so it's obvious that he likes me but then it was sudden for us….He must be just attracted not love me the way I want him to" when she felt Yuwan's arm around her waist.

She immediately turned her face to look at him when she found he was so close to her. "Yuwan," whispered Xia and felt her heartbeat was raised. "It's a good feeling - sleeping beside you," murmured Yuwan in a deep tone. Xia after twenty minutes turned to him and their faces were inch apart but Yuwan's eyes were closed.

Xia raised her index finger and outlined Yuwan's face, stopping at the upper lip when Yuwan grabbed her hand, opening his eyes. "What are you doing?," asked Yuwan.

"I...i...wa..was," stuttered Xia. She felt her voice wasn't coming out when Yuwan asked, "do you like me?" Xia was numbed hearing this. "Eh..I?"

"Yes. You, do you like me?," asked Yuwan again. Xia lowered her eyes and asked the same question from Yuwan. "I won't put you in the dark. Yes, I like you and it's not after marriage. It's even before that. The day you kissed me after drinking, I realized but I kept refuting because I used to think I'll lose you as a friend.

I want to be honest with you. After Mishi came, I was attracted to her for all the time until dad died. I realized, Mishi isn't the one whom I like. It was my infatuation towards her. She doesn't know me to that extent as you. I know you must be thinking these all as lies but this is the truth actually. I want to give you time because as a woman this was unexpected to you and you need more time than me to be with me as my wife. I don't want to throw myself on you because I respect you a lot. Your decisions matter to me….i guess that's what a love is in a relationship" Yuwan explained himself.

Xia was overwhelmed by Yuwan's response and then she kissed him. "I'm privileged to be you as my husband. For a girl it's really difficult to find a suitable man for herself who will take care of him in the most gentle way and respect her decisions. You know my likeness towards you," whispered Xia against his lips.

Yuwan touched her face from the back of his palm and then asked, "can I kiss you?" Xia nodded when Yuwan pressed his lips on Xia's. Xia tightly held Yuwan's t-shirt from the waist side while Yuwan pulled her more closer to him. They moved rhythmically their lips against each other when Yuwan released her.

Caressing each other's face they again kissed each other while smiling. Touching his forehead against Xia's, he said, "Let's be with each other for all our life. Again, I'm your friend first and then a husband. Your pain is mine and your happiness is mine. Thanks for trusting me and being with me." He then kissed her forehead. Xia smiled hearing this and blushed.

"Let's take small steps in this relationship of ours," murmured Yuwan to which Xia nodded. They both slept holding each other.

"Thanks uncle for making us marry. Yuwan is the perfect man for me who not only prioritizes me but also respects me. As a woman, it's really a proud feeling to have such a nice man by your side.

I will always take care of him both as a friend and as a wife." Thought Xia in her mind.

"Thanks dad. The woman I was searching for myself, was always beside me. I always hid my deep feelings and refuted those feelings till the end but today I'm feeling good. I'm finally able to know my likeness towards her. The day you died was the worst day of my life but then I found Xia who held my hand.

We two know each other so well that's without even speaking, we can tell what's going on. I really respect you Xia and I'm really thankful to you that you accepted that day to marry me." Thought Yuwan in his mind with a gentle smile on his lips.
