"Why are you staring at me? Remove it," Ru Shi told Gan Dewei, pointing towards the t- shirt he was wearing.

"A few minutes ago you were shy seeing me shirtless. You had covered your eyes," Gan Dewei stated.

"That's because it was sudden. But then your wounds need a proper treatment so there is nothing to be shy about that, I guess. You did not go to the hospital and I know you will let them be like that, suffer that pain all alone," Ru Shi asserted.

"Why did you follow me to my home?" Gan Dewei asked.

"I will answer while treating your wounds," replied Ru Shi, looking into his eyes. Gan Dewei averted his gaze from her and then removed the t- shirt off his body. His body had well toned muscles clearly depicting that he does workout. But there were bruises around his chest, near the shoulders and in the area right below his heart.

Ru Shi reached out her index finger to touch those wounds and her eyes got teary. "Why do you fight?" Ru Shi queried softly. She poured 1-2 drops of disinfectant on a cotton pad and then again met his gaze. "It will hurt. So, bear with it," she said.

"Hmm."

She lowered her eyes towards his chest and gently pressed the cotton pad against the wound. The blood was clotted already. Gan Dewei closed his eyes because of the pain. Ru Shi blew the air from her mouth so that it won't hurt him more. "You aren't answering my question," Gan Dewei suddenly spoke.

"I will answer. Do not worry," Ru Shi asserted. After cleaning the wounds and covering them with bandage, she moved her hand towards his left shoulder. "It is so big. How can you bear so much pain?" Ru Shi asked him. She looked at him and found his intense gaze on her. Averting her gaze, she again focused on the wound.

"Because you need attention too. That day you told me that your mother is no more in this world, I found that your family never showed the love you always wanted from them. I do not know why do you want to break up with me but" she raised her eyes to meet his. "But if you want to end the relationship then you have to promise me that you will never let yourself get hurt because it will hurt me."

She then lowered her eyes and put the bandage over his shoulder too. Gan Dewei noticed the watery eyes of Ru Shi. No one ever showed such care towards him except her mother who waa no more there. Ru Shi was closing the first aid box when Gan Dewei grabbed her hand and his other hand traveled through her slender neck.

"Dewei," she called his name as he closed the distance between them. He pressed his lips against hers, closing his eyes. Ru Shi saw he was crying as he kissed her. She did not stop herself from responding to his feelings. Her free hand traversed Dewei's bare shoulder. On the other hand, Gan Dewei pulled her closer, wanted not to let her go. Ru Shi was equally responding to his feelings. After a while, he parted his lips from her, gasping for the air.

"Wh-why do you want to breakup? Your heart says otherwise," Ru Shi stated, taking deep breaths. Her eyes were fixated at his and were finding answer in them. She lifted her right hand and wiped the tears off Gan Dewei's cheeks. "It is my first time seeing you crying," Ru Shi said as her hand rested on his jawline.

"Go home. I am sending a driver with you," said Dewei and got up from the bed. Ru Shi saw his back had red marks as if someone had hit him with a rod or a stick. Right away she stood up and reached out her hand to touch those marks. Gan Dewei jolted at her touch. "What are you doing?" he said, turning to her when he saw tears were pouring down her cheeks.

"I am not going any- anywhere tonight," she said while sobbing. "You are hurt. Who did this to you?" Ru Shi asked him with a worried look.

"Why do you want to stay with me? I am not a suitable guy for you. You are a ambitious girl who has certain dreams in her life so, do not waste your time on me. I am sorry that I played with your feelings. I am sorr-" before he could complete his words, Ru Shi tiptoed and kissed him fiercely. "You are the most suitable guy for me," she voiced with an affirmation. "You kissed me moments ago. My first kiss was with you, so is my love. I am indeed an ambitious girl but I do not want to lose you either," she proclaimed.

"I love you," Ru Shi finally spoke. "You were the one who started this and made my heart flutter. Now, you have to take responsibility for this," Ru Shi declared. Dewei could not stop himself further and pulled her towards him for a kiss. Fire was ignited in the entire body of Ru Shi. Dewei bit her lower lip and shoved his tongue into her mouth. Devouring the taste of Ru Shi's mouth, he took her to the bed.

He was now on top of her and both were panting heavily. "Stop me right away," stated Gan Dewei. Ru Shi shook her head. "I don't want to stop you," she said in a low voice. The two kept staring into each others eyes for a while, when Gan Dewei shifted away and laid beside her. Ru Shi was confused seeing this reaction from Gan Dewei. "What happened?" Ru Shi asked.

"Nothing. I just do not want to. I am indirectly associated with your father's murder so let me clear that first," Gan Dewei pronounced.

"Talk with Chang. He knows everything," stated Ru Shi.

"I do not trust other people except you," Gan Dewei replied.

"He is a good person. He wants to talk to you. He told me that there is something urgent he needs to tell you. He will definitely be going to help you," asserted Ru Shi.

"I will look into that. Are you hungry?" he asked.

"Hmm," Ru Shi hummed. "Let me apply the ointment to your back too. It must be hurting," she said softly and got up from the bed. Reaching her hand towards the first aid kit, she took out the ointment and told him to lay down on the support of his belly. Gan Dewei did so while Ru Shi gently applied the ointment on those red bruises.

"Thank you for being with me at this moment. I am lacking words to say to you," Gan Dewei stated.

"Do not thank me. Just do not get hurt like this ever again," Ru Shi told him.

"I will try," Gan Dewei asserted.

Ru Shi gave a faint smile and was done applying the ointment. "I am done. You should get up now and wear the t- shirt," Ru Shi stated, handing him the t- shirt. Gan Dewei sat up on the bed and wore that. "I am bringing dinner for us," said Gan Dewei.

"You should eat dinner with your family. They will think otherwise if-"

"You are my family," Gan Dewei proclaimed.
