Mt. Moon is a mountain chain in northern Kanto, between Pewter City in the west and Cerulean City in the east. Mt. Moon is known for being one of the few places where wild Clefairy can be found. The mountain is also known for being home to Pokémon Fossils.

This is apparent by looking at the trainers who come here to seek valuable and rare items. But you will find many Elite Pokémon in this mountain chain or the forest in front of it. That's why only the brave and powerful trainers dare to enter this mountain chain. ​​

Regular people and weak trainers have to take a detour to get to Cerulean City.
