Chasing After My Wife Chapter 63

Jillyanna was sleeping peacefully inside the cabin without knowing the commotion she caused to the outside world.
Since she became pregnant she had been craving a lot of sleep which she was grateful for having a cabin in this forest. She was able to relax herself now that the pervert man is dead.
It hasn't been three hours since she fell asleep but she heard faint footsteps running around the cabin.
She didn't open her eyes but she remained vigilant if in case someone's coming to hurt her and her baby again.
'Creak!'
It was the sound of her door being opened. She opened her eyes and looked at the person walking towards her.
"It's you. Are we leaving? Which country are you planning to go?" Jillyanna asked Enzo as she sat on her bed.
"We are not leaving. You heard them, right?" Enzo stated before sitting on the edge of her bed. He had a smile on his face, something that made Jillyanna smile as well.
She was successful! She was able to communicate to the real him. The person who kept loving her mother despite his circumstances.
"Enzo, do you know who killed my mother? We talked about this before and you told me that what I know was a lie. I want to bring justice to my mother." Jillyanna stated which earned a sigh from him.
"If you can find -"
"Put your hands up behind your head! Now!" It was Valkyrie who came in with a gun pointing at Enzo. His sudden intrusion cut off the statement that Enzo wanted to say.
Jillyanna was shocked to see them, specially the man standing at the door - Travis.
"What's going on?" Jillyanna asked in panic as she tried to reach for Enzo and hid him behind her. Enzo was even sad to see how she tried to protect him, the person who kidnapped her.

This action caused made Travis felt angry. He had been so worried for her and instead of running to his arms, she chose to protect her abductor!
"My wife, what are you doing?" Travis questioned her with a raised brow. Brown and Valkyrie snickered at his statement but he didn't care at all. Jillyanna even rolled her eyes.
"Alright. Don't scare him with your guns. I was just talking to him." she responded with her arms wide open as if to block anyone from approaching him behind her.
Enzo tapped her shoulder making her turned to look at him. "You don't have to do this. I am willing to come to the station for causing you harm. It's my way to atone for my sins. If it has to be a death penalty, I am willing to accept such punishment."
"What the hell are you talking about? You won't have a death penalty hanging above your head. My mom wouldn't be happy to see you in that situation."
Jillyanna snapped at him. Even though he kidnapped her, he never harm her in any way. "You saved me, remember?"
"Enough, Jillyanna. I will be fine." Since the time he abducted her, it was the first time he mentioned her name.
He pushed her slightly out of his way which was just in time for Lucian to come in with a handcuff.
"We found a dead man buried behind this house. He died not long ago. Will you come clean with us in jail?" Lucian stated while cuffing both his hands behind his back.
Jillyanna came to him and asked, "How did you know about the dead person? He didn't kill him on purpose. He had to kill him or I would be dead! That person wanted to rape me! Enzo saved me from that man!"

She didn't really want to save Enzo but she didn't want him to have a death penalty as punishment as well.
A while ago, when Travis and his friends followed him, they thought he didn't notice but few meters before the cabin, he stopped.
"Will you give me a few moments to talk to her?" Enzo asked without turning his head to look at them. He didn't enter the house though instead, he walked to the backyard where Lucian and his men just got out of the bushes they were hiding from.
They were stunned and raised their guns, pointing them at him. He didn't blink or flinched, like he knew all along that they would find him sooner or later.
He moved towards the freshly dug soil and pointed his hand on it. "I killed a man few hours ago. I buried him there. I will get inside the house first and don't do anything reckless or someone might get killed."
Lucian believed his words so he asked his men to find ways to dig the soil. Enzo moved back towards the front yard where Travis was standing still.
"Just give me a minute. I won't harm her so don't worry." He opened the door and walked inside. They waited for few minutes but he didn't come out so Valkyrie rushed inside with his gun.
Travis came to her side and hugged her. Jillyanna hugged her back since she could feel the tension he was feeling at the moment. His heart was beating so fast she could feel it underneath her hands.
"I am so glad you are safe. I was really scared. Savannah was crying when you were gone. She was so afraid something happened to you and the baby." he spoke softly in her ears, half of his face was buried in between her shoulder and neck.
"Sorry." that's all she could say. Lucian was looking at them so she smiled awkwardly. How would she explain their position right now? Lucian must have known already who the father of her child is. Really awkward.
When Travis calmed down, he ushered Jillyanna back to his car. Brown was all set with his equipments to check on her.
She looked back to the cabin where a yellow tape was being used to cordon the place. It was a messy sight compared to the first time she arrived there.
When she turned around to face Travis, she saw his face getting closer to her. His lips were just few inches away from her which made her trembled in her place.
'What the hell is he trying to do?!'
