Chasing After My Wife Chapter 71

Enzo was sitting on his bunk bed when a police officer called him to inform that Jillyanna had arrived to visit him.
Even though he was in jail, it didn't diminish his handsomeness. He was really handsome to begin with and now that he was back to his normal self, he looked fresh and livelier.
"I will be coming inside with you when you talk to him." Lucian told Jillyanna when they saw the man being escorted to one of the interrogation rooms.
Travis was still holding her long coat and was standing beside her silently. Enzo looked at him then shifted his eyes to Jillyanna before getting himself inside the room.
"I will be waiting in the lobby. If there's anything, just call me." Travis whispered beside her ear, making her blush and annoyed.
She rubbed her ear irritatedly while glaring at him. "Just go already. My brother is here so it's fine."
"I love you." he winked at her playfully before leaving her.
"I hate you!" she shouted at him angrily making Lucian laugh out loud while watching them.
Jillyanna felt so frustrated with his actions. She knew all along that he was just playing with her and hearing those sweet words irked her so much.
"Alright. Stop being angry now. We need to get inside already." Lucian held her back gently and ushered her to the interrogation room where Enzo was sitting elegantly. He didn't look like a prisoner at all.
"Hi Enzo. How are you?" Jillyanna greeted, handed him a paper bag and sat on the chair across him. "I brought you some things you can use. Did they treat you well?"
"Yup. It's fine here. I'm really sorry for what happened." he looked so guilty and in pain whenever he looked at her.

"It's okay. I forgive you. Lucian told me that you have some things you want to tell me?" She immediately asked him the purpose of her visit.
"Do you know about your mother's research?" Enzo asked her in a whisper. Lucian and the other police officers listening from the outside could barely hear their conversation.
Jillyanna was silent for a moment before she answered him. "If it's about her undergraduate research, I know about that."
"Yes, that research. Many doctors and researchers wanted to get their hands on that. Venus son was used as a hostage for her to get the research from your mom. When she refused, they removed the brake of her car. That night, your mother borrowed her friend's car and died. Indirectly, Venus caused her death. That's the reason why I blamed her so much. That's why her pictures with us were all crossed out. But Jillyanna, if there's anyone you can trust outside your family, it's your husband."
"What husband are you talking about? He's not my husband. He's the sperm donor." Jillyanna denied Travis immediately.
Lucian chuckled hearing her statement while the other men outside were all laughing.
"How could she say those words? It was a good thing that her husband isn't here." one of the officers said.
"Looked like our rich Mr. Madrigal is having a hard time with his wife." another officer stated.
Inside the interrogation room, Enzo was also chuckling. "Silly girl. Of all the things I said, that's the only thing that caught your attention?"
"It's not like that. Whenever I hear someone say he's my husband or I'm his wife, it became a reflex already to deny it. Because he is not and will never be my husband."
"I cannot tell you why you can trust him, you'll find out soon. However, what I said is true. No matter what happened in the future, if you don't want your family implicated, you can always run to him."

"Anyway, stop talking about that idiot. Do you know who the researchers are who wanted to get my mother's research?" she changed the topic because her blood was boiling once again after learning that she could actually trust him.
She didn't want to trust him and she will never trust him. Who could trust someone who was just playing with you?
"There's a researcher from American Research Institute, a professor from her university, and a senior doctor from Senyu Medical Center. You should not trust anyone who will claim to be your mother's friend. She only had Venus and I." Enzo responded to her, still calm and collected.
"They won't find her research. That I can assure." Jillyanna stated with a firm look in her face. "I burnt her research papers when she died. They can find the ashes if they want."
"Smart girl. In any case, your brother can start looking into these three areas to lock down the suspect. I believe it will be difficult though."
"That's fine. I am glad you provided us new leads. I will get into this matter." Lucian commented on the side.
"By the way, I just found this a bit interesting." Enzo leaned on the chair and looked at her with a grin on his lips. "Over the course of 10 years, have you seen Thomas Madrigal?"
Jillyanna frowned but she still answered him. "Yes. I've been in contact with him."
"How about his son?" Enzo raised his eyebrow and she could see joy and playful interest dancing in his eyes.
"Why would I contact that idiot? He could vanish for all I care! I hate him so much I'd really want to kick him to death when I see him. Argh! Just remembering his little face makes me angry!" she clenched her hands into fist and slam it on the table, startling Lucian in the process. She looked so agitated which wasn't good for her.
"So you don't how RV looks like now? You don't know where he is?" Enzo asked again with a faint laughter in his voice.
"I don't really care about him. I stopped caring about him after what happened. Since we're all done here, I'll go ahead. Take care of yourself." Jillyanna didn't wait for him to respond and left the room.
Everyone who heard her was confused aside from Lucian, of course. Now he realized why she didn't know anything about Travis. She knew him with a different name and she didn't even bother to investigate him because of her hate.
"Sis, your love life will be very interesting." Lucian mumbled before following her outside the room.

The FPD (Fart Police Department)
The FPD (Fart Police Department) The world’s norms and ethics have drastically shifted for the worse after an uncontrollable flatus outbreak absorbed the world’s inhabitant, causing major depopulation on a global scale. Conversely, to remedy the spread of this vulgar contagion, the Societal Gods who were partially indirectly responsible for causing the outbreak, implemented certain strict measures for the servile humans to follow. These strict policies were commonly known to the general public as Fart Commandments. Thou shall not relieve themselves in public without following the proper guided measures; thou shall not relieve themselves in private without adhering to the strict guidelines; each new-born and younglings should be taken to the nearest medical facility regularly for inoculation; loose bottoms shall not be tolerated at any governing venues and face-masks should always be worn appropriately. Failure to adhere to the above commandments would result in a mandatory life sentence without a court appeal or probation unless they are of influential births and have authoritative backers. In this twisted society which had been established today a model young female who adhered to the strict policies all of her life without questioning, accidentally broke one of the Fart Commandments and found herself entangled with a rebellious group of uncouth individuals who opposed the Societal Gods. To regain her innocence and social standing among the civil society, this young lady dared challenge the Societal God’s ruling by utilizing the absolute thing that they detested the most which were the destructive vapours of her flatus. Certainly, she will suffer the excruciating consequences of defying her lords’ commandments. Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
