Chasing After My Wife Chapter 84

Jillyanna kept on crying with blanket wrapped around her. She sniffed and sneeze but she didn't care. The mattress was already wet since she didn't dry her hair.
She was shivering from cold and she felt so dizzy already but she wanted to hear him talk. She's got so many things to ask and she had to know the answers now before asking him to leave or before leaving him.
"Wifey, I know that my sorry can't do anything. I can't bring your mother to life, I can't change our past. But, we can still mend our present, right?" Travis spoke again from the outside. Jillyanna's tears never ceased from falling and her vision was getting blurry already.
"I don't think so. The pain of the past still flashes across my mind. I was ready to forgive you as long as we don't see each other. But now? I don't know. I don't know what to do."
"I know it won't be easy but will you really give up on us? Will you not give me a chance? You gave me two months to prove myself to you. I still have few days to go before two months would be over. Wifey, can we talk this out? Can we have a proper conversation? I'm begging you."
Even though he spoke softly to her, the men in the kitchen could hear him clearly. They have been training themselves to hear even the slightest movement around them or a faint conversation few meters away from them.
Travis talking to Jillyanna was so clear to them. They didn't speak or say anything but Brown smiled with a tear in his eyes.
He knew how much Travis suffered from his guilt. When he decided to look for her, his guilt was eating him away and he had been dreaming of her when she fainted. He dreamed of it countless of times that he had to go through a psychiatric consultation.

It was beyond their expectation that they would meet this way. Even with their help, they didn't know where she had been all these years. They couldn't find any information of her.
Brown looked down on his cup in silence. He always envy those brave people who would give up their pride for someone they love. He could even do it but the person he chose to give up his pride for was just playing around with him.
"What are you thinking?" Valkyrie asked him but he just smiled faintly.
"Nothing."
Yes nothing. From now on, he would live his life as if they were just normal acquaintance. In any case, his days with him were already numbered.
Upstairs, Jillyanna didn't open the door and Travis was still sitting on the same place.
"I don't want to continue the two months I gave you. There's no point in doing so." Jillyanna responded before taking a tissue to sneeze. "Beside that, you hate me don't you? If I remember correctly, you labeled me a thief. And I guess I was. I stole your parents' time from you. I stole their attention from you. I was once told that kids don't lie and even if they said you didn't mean it, I think that was really how you felt towards me. You hate me. It wasn't just your guilt that stopped you from seeing me but, it was your hatred as well." He could lie all he wants, she can find ways to prove the truth in front of him.
What she said was the truth. Travis didn't spoke for a while. He was stunned with the words she said.
Indeed, he was guilty for what happened and he really hated her from taking his parents' time. He was sent to different classes locally and abroad. When he got home, he was looking forwards to spending time with them but they would always leave and look for Jillyanna and her mother.

At first, he was happy that he became friends with her but he soon realized that his parents really likes her. His like turned to hate and that's how he hurt her.
"I was wrong. I'm sorry. I did hate you in the past but Jill, I am really sincere with how I feel this time. We can't bury the past because that's what make us of who we are today but, can't we start over?" he choked on his emotions that was pooling on his throat. His eyes were red and tears were burning the corner of his eyes.
"You told me you won't like me. You told me you won't like a thief like me. I can still remember your words clearly. Travis, I don't really hate you instead I hate myself more for taking your parents' time. If I didn't have a heart disease, would it have been different? My mother only contacted your mom because of me. If I didn't have CHD, my mother wouldn't have the need to contact your mom. Your mother wouldn't have to visit us. Your mother wouldn't have to spend time with us. You wouldn't be left alone. You wouldn't have to come and meet me and you would not hate me. I'd rather not have met you in the past. If I can go back, I would not go out of my room and meet you. I guess it was actually my fault. It's funny that I put the blame on you when it was really all because of me. But I won't apologize." When she really thought of it, everything started when she was born.
Everything changed when she was born. Her parents would never be apart if she didn't exist. Her existence caused death and pain to the people around her.
Realizing all these, her heart's beat faltered. It was so painful that she was having a hard time breathing.
She clutched her chest and was heaving to get oxygen.
"Don't panic. Calm down." she controlled herself to stop crying and breathed in and out.
She was focused on calming herself when she felt a warm liquid coming out from her. She touched her thighs and turned on the lamp to see what it was.
Blood. Her face paled, fear and shock was reflecting on her face.
"Travis...Travis...help me..." she murmured as she looked at her hand. "Travis help me!" she cried out in fear and checked her bed. Blood. It was stained with so much blood.
