Chasing After My Wife Chapter 120

While Jillyanna was making a phone call, Travis also sent a quick message to Valkyrie.
"Find out everything regarding this issue."
That was a simple text but Valkyrie got it. Everything means every little details involved and it doesn't matter who are the people involved.
Jillyanna came back after a few minutes and sat beside him. "When will your friends finish their task?"
"Why?"
"Nothing." she answered and continued watching the live stream. It was coming to an end since Cheska and Diego were already saying their closing and farewell remarks.
"Yo! Travis and Yanna, if you're watching this, we really apologize for causing you trouble." Diego stated and made a deep bow. Jillyanna felt annoyed watching him bow so she turned off the laptop.
After few minutes, Jenny and Cielo met at the gate of the mansion. Cielo drove her car first followed by Jenny.
"Sister Cielo! I've come to visit." Jenny greeted and brought out a basket of fruits.
"Just how many times do I have to tell you that you don't have to bring anything when you come here?" Cielo asked with a questioning gaze, eyeing the basket of fruits.
Jenny scratched her face awkwardly, looking so silly with a grin on her lips. "I would feel awkward if I don't bring anything."
"Awkward huh!" Cielo snickered. "Let's see how awkward you will be when Jillyanna scolds you. Come here. You're so stubborn just like her."
They got inside together and found Jillyanna lying on the sofa by herself. "You're here!" Jillyanna exclaimed and sat up straight. When she saw Jenny following behind Cielo silently, she felt a little strange.
"What's going on between you two? Did you guys fight?" She inquired and walked towards them.

Cielo stepped aside to give her a full of view of Jenny. Jenny smiled faintly but she was avoiding her fiery eyes.
"Do you want me to adopt you formally?" Jillyanna asked. She was a bit upset and sad for her.
Jenny looked at her with a shock. "Huh? No! You don't have to adopt me." She answered quickly, shaking her head from side to side.
"Then why are you bringing that?" Jillyanna pointed her finger towards the basket that Jenny was holding. "Didn't I tell you that you don't need to bring anything here? Or at the apartment? Or at the old house? It seems like I'm a stranger to you."
Jenny felt guilty and walked towards her. "I'm sorry big sis. I just felt a little awkward coming here without bringing anything. I've been depending on you, too. I just don't know what else I can do."
Jillyanna sighed upon seeing her teary eyes. "Don't do this again. Get used to this. Or else, I will put you in my family registry."
"I promise. I will try to get used to this." Jenny said as quick as she can to pacify her.
Travis came out from the kitchen with some sliced bunny apples for Jillyanna. "What happened here?"
"Just a little sister quarrel." Jillyanna said and walked back to the couch. Cielo was covering her mouth while chuckling.
She came to Jenny's side and knocked her forehead. "I told you already but you won't listen. Let's put that in the kitchen."
They walked to the kitchen where Alex and Sky cooked for their lunch. When Sky turned around she saw Jenny holding a fruit basket.
Seeing her frown and quivering mouth Jenny put her hand forward to stop her from speaking. "Auntie, don't scold me. I was scolded by sis Yanna already. I won't do this again."

"Hn. I'll zip my mouth. There's should be no next time." Sky reminded her. Jenny just nodded her head and placed the basket on the table.
"If you want to repay her for helping you all these years, make sure to do well in your studies. She's not asking so much from you. She just want you to have your own degree so you can be independent in the future. Don't feel bad about this. That's just how Jillyanna is." Cielo stated with comforting gaze. Jenny was one of the reason why Jillyanna was working hard. She didn't want the girl to suffer like her.
"I know. Somehow, I just felt a little awkward. I mean, you're all nice to me and I don't have anything to give in return."
"Your grades. As long as you pass and as long as you're having fun with the course you're taking. She's letting you do what you want, so make sure you do well on it. You don't have to be so excellent, just enough to find a good job in the future. Don't worry, we've got your back."
"Thank you." Jenny gave Cielo a hug for all the gratitude she owed them.
Meanwhile, Valkyrie finished everything that he needed to do but found a deadend at the last step. He tried again and again but found no loopholes.
"What the heck?!" he cursed silently, fingers crossing on his laptop keyboard, tapping in a rhythm that makes Brown sleepy.
"Just forward him everything that you found." Brown mentioned, covered his mouth while yawning and turned to his other side to get some sleep.
"Have you prepared yourself? Valkyrie whispered beside him.
"I have."
"Let's go all out tonight, shall we?" Valkyrie remarked again which irked him.
"Don't make it sound so dirty!" he threw a pillow which landed directly on Valkyrie's face. "Stop smiling! It irritates me!"
Valkyrie picked up the pillow and put it beside him. He closed the laptop and put it on the bedside table, near the lampshade.
"I just noticed..." Valkyrie moved closer to Brown and hover above him, putting his hands on each side of the person underneath him. "...ever since we came back from the last mission, you're so cold to me. What exactly is your problem? Didn't you like me?"
"I told you already. I'm over you." He pushed Valkyrie away but he wouldn't budge. "Get away from me."
