Lu Qingxin’s eyelashes were wet with tears.

“Sister, you’re unwilling to acknowledge Father. It must be because you resent him and hate him, right? You hate Father. You hate him for breaking your heart. You hate him for not caring about you and for not paying any attention to you all these years. But Sister, he’s my father. He is heartbroken and sad. and he is going through tough times. I wish I could relieve him of some of that pain. Sister, come home with us. I will persuade Mother. I will convince her to love you as a daughter. I will treat you as my kindly sister.”

Ye Tianxin was once young and ignorant.

She was once vain and materialistic.

But that was all in a different period.

The present Ye Tianxin knows this better than anyone else. Rather than pin her hopes on others, she should start life anew, all by herself.,

She has now reinvented herself. She is a better person.

Why make life difficult for herself? Why should she choose to be such a scheming b*tch like Lu Qingxin?

“No need. I don’t need a father. I don’t need a mother. I don’t need a younger sister. Please, both of you, just leave and don’t disturb Grandmother. If you still don’t leave, I will have to call the police and report you two for disturbing other people!”

Lu Qingxin looked up from Gu Yancheng’s arms embrace.

“Sister, what exactly do you want us to do? What would it take for you to forgive Father?”

“I don’t hate him. So there isn’t such a thing as forgiveness. Leave. That’s all I ask of you. Thank you for your cooperation.”

Ye Tianxin shoved the bouquet that Lu Qingxin brought for Grandmother and Gu Yancheng’s fruits into his arms.

Gu Yancheng didn’t take too kindly to the way Ye Tianxin treated the two of them. He thought she was being disrespectful and had little regard for others. Qingxin had already taken such a big step back for Uncle Lu. How could Ye Tianxin behave this way?

“Ye Tianxin, are you…”

Gu Yancheng pointed his hand at Ye Tianxin’s face.

As far as he was concerned, anyone who bullied Lu Qingxin was scum.

Li Qingcang was standing in the doorway. Tall and imposing, he looked even more handsome and elegant in the light of dawn. A halo seemed to hang between his well-defined brows. It was quite the scene.

Li Qingcang wore a white sweater, and it had an image of a cute cartoon panda on the front. He was quite an adorable sight, minus the somewhat silly appearance.

He wore an ordinary pair of jeans. But on him, it looked distinctively different. He looked like a model on a poster.

Li Qingcang grew upset when he saw Gu Yancheng pointing his finger at Ye Tianxin. He took two steps forward in his white shoes and stood in front of Gu Yancheng. Just by a slight force of his grip, Li Qingcang dislocated Gu Yancheng’s arm in a split second.

“Didn’t anyone back at home ever taught you that you can’t point your finger at anyone?”

Gu Yancheng felt as though his arm was loaded with lead. It was so heavy. Hot searing pain rushed through his arm.

The pain on the handsome man’s face soon turned to anger.

No one had ever dared to treat him this way before.

“Brother Yancheng, are you all right?”

Out of concern, Lu Qinxing called out to Gu Yancheng, but she wasn’t looking at him. She was looking at Li Qingcang, standing beside Ye Tianxin.

Her mind held only one thought.

This man was incredibly handsome.

He should be her future husband.

“Qingxin, I’m fine.”

Gu Yancheng didn’t wish to alarm Lu Qinxing. He had stood still on the spot and didn’t utter a word before Lu Qinxing called out.

Li Qingcang tore his eyes away from Gu Yancheng. His manner was indifferent. He turned to Ye Tianxin and said, “I’ll get the hospital to move you and Grandmother to another ward.”

“Sister, is he your boyfriend?” Lu Qingxin asked with great anticipation. Was he? Lu Qingxin wondered quietly.

It cannot be so!

‘Ye Tianxin was a country bumpkin. How could she possibly have such an elegant, refined, handsome boyfriend?’

Ye Tianxin caught sight of the glint in Lu Qingxin’s eyes. In an instant, she understood what was going through Lu Qingxin’s mind. “What business is it of yours? Don’t call me sister. Hearing the word sister from your mouth makes me so disgusted. I might even develop a physical aversion for it!”
