Soon, the police arrived, and they saw two bodyguards standing by the door when they got out of the elevator.

“Young Master Li, were you the one who called the police?” the officer asked politely. Li Qingcang shot both officers an angry stare, and they hoped to get over and done with this case as soon as possible.

“I’m the one who called the police,” Qin Lili interrupted. “Look what this brat did to me, officer! See?” Qin Lili complained indignantly.

It wasn’t very obvious when Ye Tianxin slapped Qin Lili earlier on, but now, her cheeks were beginning to swell up. As her hair was also disheveled, she looked rather pitiful, and one would easily feel sorry for her.

“I’m going to take your statement first. What’s your surname?” the police officer inquired.

“Qin.”

“Please show us your I.D.,” the officer requested.

After Qin Lili showed them her I.D. card, the policemen proceeded to put her statement on record and ask further regarding the flow of events.

Throughout the entire ordeal, Ye Tianxin never bothered to interrupt to explain herself. While she knew that she was at fault for hitting Qin Lili, she felt that Qin Lili deserved it.

‘Serves her right for insulting my grandmother! It’s none of her business to question how my grandmother raised me,’ Ye Tianxin thought.

Initially, Qin Lili was certain that Ye Tianxin would be apprehended after the police took down her statement. Unfortunately, with a strong backing like Li Qingcang, nobody would dare to fault Ye Tianxin.

“Madam Qin, please come with us,” the police officers concluded.

Qin Lili snapped when she heard this and asked in disbelief, “What do you mean? I’m the victim here! Why should I go with you? You should take her instead!”
