Ye Youran’s face paled every time Ye Tianxin got a question right.

The other students looked at Ye Youran as if she were the source of all evil.

However, they had all suspected Ye Tianxin in the beginning as well. But now, they felt as if it was Ye Youran’s fault. She was insistent that Ye Tianxin cheated.

“Will the last student, Ye Youran, please come up on stage?”

Ye Youran stood up. She held a practice question book in her hands.

“Sir, I object.”

Ye Youran thought about it. Since she had already embarrassed herself so badly, nothing mattered anymore.

Di Shanshi, however, stood up and spoke, “Sir, I wish to ask Ye Tianxin a question.”

Mr. Chen stopped Di Shanshi and whispered to Di Shanshi’s ear. Then, Di Shanshi returned to his seat.

Di Shanshi believed that Ye Youran would not be able to stump Ye Tianxin with her question. He was confident of Ye Tianxin’s abilities.

Even though he did not know what kind of questions the previous nine students had given Ye Tianxin, he knew that they would not have asked Ye Tianxin simple questions.

Ye Tianxin did not hesitate at all when she had answered those questions. She had been very confident. That at least proved that Ye Tianxin had improved by a lot.

Ye Youran had always been very proud of her English scores. She had lost to Ye Tianxin by just a few marks in the previous English examination. She was sure that she would be able to stump Ye Tianxin this time.

“Alright.”

Ye Youran walked up to the stage and recited a long sentence in English.

Ye Tianxin’s lips curled. She was nervous, but she managed to simultaneously interpret the sentence into Chinese.

Ye Youran looked at Ye Tianxin. She felt her legs shaking. They were so heavy that she could not raise her head. That was especially so when Ye Tianxin spoke to Ye Youran in fluent English after she had interpreted the sentence into Chinese.

Ye Youran did not know what Ye Tianxin had said. She broke down entirely!

Ye Youran covered her face, ignoring the mocking and sarcastic glances that the other students threw at her, and ran off the stage.

The dean, however, looked delighted. Ye Tianxin was much more remarkable than he had imagined.

He seemed to be able to foresee how others would be impressed by him when Ye Tianxin’s college entrance examination results are released and the reporters come in droves.

“The 10 questions have been answered. Ye Tianxin successfully answered all of your questions. The rumor that Ye Tianxin had cheated on the exam has also been proven wrong. I will now screen a movie for everyone.”

Ye Tianxin stood on the stage. As she looked at the students below the stage, she felt as if she was in a trance.

‘Is this a dream?’ she thought.

Perhaps it was a dream!

If this were a dream, she hoped it would stay like this forever. She didn’t want to wake up.

Ye Tianxin did not watch the movie. She packed up her bag and left the school. An army green SUV was parked some distance away from the school gates.

When Ye Tianxin walked past the SUV, Yan Ge called out, “Little Tianxin!”

“Yan Ge? What are you doing here?”

Yan Ge got Ye Tianxin to get into the car. Ye Tianxin only realized that Li Qingcang was seated at the back of the car when she got in. “Elder Brother Li!” she yelled in surprise

“I heard that you did well in the mock exams.”

Li Qingcang reached out to pat Ye Tianxin’s head.

Ye Tianxin smiled sweetly and said, “That’s right. I came first in the entire school, and my total score was more than 700. All the teachers and students thought that I cheated and I proved them wrong!”

Li Qingcang did not tell Ye Tianxin that she did well on stage earlier.

She looked very confident when she spoke in fluent English.

She was like a queen.

She was confident and poised.

She was beautiful and youthful.

“Are you happy?” Li Qingcang asked

“I am,” Ye Tianxin replied sincerely. She was happy.
