“Sis, I can’t move at all. Did I break my leg?”

Yan Qingqing lay on the ground and did not dare to move at all. She looked at the moon above her head and felt angry and helpless.

She wondered if her leg was broken.

What if it was broken?

Would it be amputated?

If the leg would not be amputated, did she have to sit in a wheelchair?

Or did she need a cast?

That was too…too ugly! She couldn’t bear to think about it.

“Sis…”

Yan Lili was so anxious that she was sweating. She did not dare to move Yan Qingqing, afraid that she might cause more damage and hurt her.

“Qingqing, don’t be afraid.”

“Sis, it’s all Ye Tianxin’s fault. It is all her fault. If not for her, I wouldn’t have…”

Yan Lili’s expressions darkened. “Qingqing, when are you going to change and stop blaming somebody else?”

“Sis, I am already in this situation. Why are you still scolding me?”

Yan Qingqing caught a glimpse of Ye Tianxin and Li Qingcang. They were standing not far away.

Yan Qingqing subconsciously hid the tie that she had torn from the tree into her skirt when she saw Ye Tianxin and Li Qingcang coming back.

“What’s the matter with her?” Li Qingcang asked Yan Lili, who was seating next to Yan Qingqing.

Yan Lili looked up and answered, “She wanted to ask for blessings. I don’t know where she found this broken ladder, and she fell down.”

Ye Tianxin looked up at the top of the tree and at the tie she had tied on the branch. Her eyes darkened as she asked in a crisp voice, “I think Miss Yan wasn’t trying to ask for blessings. She just didn’t like that tie hanging there.”

“What…what nonsense are you talking about?” Yan Qingqing did not even care that she was in pain. She must not let Young Master Li find out about what she had done. “Ye Tianxin, don’t speak nonsense if you don’t have proof.”

Ye Tianxin stood beside Li Qingcang. She raised her head and pointed it out to him, “Elder Brother Li, look. Where is the tie that I put in there?”

“I…didn’t,” Yan Qingqing denied.

Meanwhile, Yan Lili looked at Ye Tianxin with a solemn expression. “Miss Ye, can’t you see that my younger sister is already in a lot of pain? What’s the point of you saying that? Do you want to force my younger sister to admit that she had done it?”

Ye Tianxin harrumphed coldly. She bent over and stretched out her hand, pulling out a piece of the tie that Yan Qingqing had hidden under her body.

“What is this?”

Yan Qingqing took a look at the tie and closed her eyes, falling unconscious.

Yan Lili blushed and said, “It is just a tie. I will pay you two for it.”

“I am really disappointed in the way the Yan family teaches their children.”

Li Qingcang’s words made Yan Lili’s face turn pale.

He had only returned with Tianxin when he heard Ye Tianxin say that someone might have gotten hurt.

However, he had not expected to see such a scene.

“Captain Li.”

Just then, the ambulance arrived. A paramedic jumped out of the ambulance.

“How did the patient get hurt?”

The paramedic asked about Yan Qingqing’s condition.

Ye Tianxin and Li Qingcang watched as Yan Qingqing was lifted onto the ambulance before they looked up in unison at the tie above their heads.

“Elder Brother Li, why don’t you carry me again? I will take the tie down.”

Li Qingcang carried Ye Tianxin, and she carefully removed the tie. She wrapped the two pieces of the tie on her wrist. “Elder Brother Li, I shall make you a gift with these in the future.”

Li Qingcang looked down at Ye Tianxin’s tiny face. A feeling of warmth surged within him.

His heart beat frantically.

Why was his heart beating so fast?
