Qie Wenyang did not say anything.

He pressed his ears on Li Qingcang’s chest and listened carefully to his heartbeat.

From the way Li Qingcang’s heart was beating right now, nothing seemed to be the problem.

However, Qie Wenyang warned Li Qingcang not to take the matter lightly just because he found nothing was amiss. After all, it was possible that Li Qingcang might have other symptoms or conditions.

Furthermore, he also knew how Li Qingcang was like as a person. He would not come all the way to the hospital if he did not really think that there was something wrong with his health.

“Boss, you must do a full-body examination,” Qie Wenyang suggested. Then he particularly emphasized, “Enlist a specialist for your heart.”

Li Qingcang considered it for a moment before saying, “I don’t have the time for a full-body examination today. I will make an appointment for a different day.”

“Boss, you have to prioritize your health and must not take this lightly.”

Qie Wenyang tried to convince Li Qingcang to do a full-body examination today. With his help, Li Qingcang would be able to get all the examination reports in two days.

“I came looking for you today because I prioritize my health,” Li Qingcang told Qie Wenyang as he buttoned up his shirt. “I will find time to come and look for you another day. I have to go now.”

Qie Wenyang sighed. He called out to Li Qingcang, “Boss, remember to call me if you have any problems.”

“Got it.”

Li Qingcang’s figure disappeared down the corridor.

Qie Wenyang’s nurse looked at Li Qingcang’s retreating back with hearts coming out of her eyes. “That man is so handsome, but he seems uninterested in women.”

Qie Wenyang hit the nurse’s head with a patient’s file and said, “Forget about it. He is out of your league.”

“Doctor Qie, is he your friend? He is so dreamy! I looked at him just now. He has abs and an Adonis belt. You can’t see it when he’s dressed, but he was so sexy when he took off his clothes.”

Qie Wenyang was relieved that Li Qingcang wasn’t around to hear his nurse’s remarks.

Li Qingcang was contemplating about things. He looked as if he was wandering.

Then he reached where Ye Tianxin was. She was seated in front of the hospital laboratory, listening to music.

She wore a blue dress, and her long hair hung loosely on her shoulders. Her eyes were focused on something right in front of her.

Two white earphone wires could be seen between her jet-black hair.

Ye Tianxin had downloaded some pop songs on her phone.

There were English songs, Japanese songs, French songs, and some indie music.

Li Qingcang sat down beside Ye Tianxin. She turned to acknowledge him and smiled. He gently took an earpiece from Ye Tianxin’s ear and put it into his. They listened to the music.

There were plenty of people walking past the laboratory.

Everyone seemed to be in a hurry—everyone except Li Qingcang and Ye Tianxin who were in their own little world.

No matter how noisy and bustling the laboratory was, Li Qingcang and Ye Tianxin remained engrossed in the music.

Ye Tianxin sat there for a while, propping up her chin with her hand. She turned around to look at Li Qingcang’s face. Although she felt relieved and contented, she suddenly felt that the burden on her shoulders was too heavy to bear.

He was outstanding…perfect.

Could she really catch up with him in two years?

His heart started to thump frantically.

His heart felt as if it was jumping around in his chest.

Li Qingcang clenched his hands tightly. Could it be that his injury had left such a damaging effect on him?
