Ye Tianxin looked at Li Qingcang with bright eyes. “Elder Brother Li, I miss Grandmother.”

“Alright, we’ll go back in a while.”

Ye Tianxin wanted to see her grandmother, but she didn’t know if her grandmother and aunt were getting along well.

She wanted to spend more time with her grandmother.

Ye Tianxin and Li Qingcang sat on the bench in the waiting room and chatted.

Li Qingcang replied, “Uncle is very nice. Why do you ask him?”

“You were drunk last night, and he helped you back to the room.” Ye Tianxin chose her words carefully and added, “He also told me that it would be better to buy yogurt instead for hangovers.”

Li Qingcang stretched out his hand and caressed Ye Tianxin’s hair. “Uncle is very kind, but life hasn’t treated him well. His wife has been dead for a long time. He has stayed single and never remarried over the years.”

“Really?”

Ye Tianxin was surprised to hear that.

“In this day and age, there’s still such a devoted person?”

“Perhaps there’s deep love between them that we don’t understand.” Li Qingcang remarked sincerely. “Tianxin, Chubby Qie won’t trouble you anymore. In the future, you can go to Capital University in peace. School’s starting soon. Are you nervous?”

“No, I’m not nervous. Capital University is the school I’ve been yearning to attend for a long time.”

When Ye Tianxin and Li Qingcang were together, they were blissful. Even if they were just talking about mundane things, for them, it was still a heartwarming thing.

“Hi!”

Qie Yiyan sat down beside Ye Tianxin.

“You two really aren’t kind. You never said a word about returning to the capital.”

Qie Yiyan was big and heavy, and one could feel his weight especially when they were seated right next to him. Ye Tianxin felt as if the ground shook for a bit.

“Chubby Qie, stay away from Tianxin.”

Li Qingcang saw that when Qie Yiyan sat down, he almost pushed Ye Tianxin out of her seat.

“What about Tianxin? Tianxin, don’t worry. I won’t force you. Uncle Xie was right. This is your life, so you decide for yourself. None of us can and must influence you.”

Li Qingcang glared at Qie and pulled Ye Tianxin away. Li Qingcang was now between them.

“Tianxin, stay away from Chubby Qie.”

Qie Yiyan touched his face. He was shaming him without lifting a finger. For Ye Tianxin, Li Qingcang dared to even come up with such a nickname for him?

“Li Qingcang, stop calling me chubby. You’re insulting me!” Qie Yiyan complained.

The two teased each other. When it was time to check the tickets, they all bought soft sleepers so they were allowed to board first.

The three positions were linked together.

Qie Yiyan took out a box of playing cards from his bag. “We have nothing to do during the journey anyway. Come on, let’s play cards and have fun!”

“Tianxin is still a kid. Why teach Tianxin to gamble?”

Li Qingcang’s words made Qie Yiyan put away the cards sheepishly.
