Bored from being stuck in the ward, Ye Tianxin yearned to head out for a walk with Li Qingcang.

“Surely, there’s no pig in the world that could look as pretty as you are.”

A sweet sensation grew in Ye Tianxin’s heart when she heard Li Qingcang’s compliment.

“Elder Brother Li, you’re so annoying.”

Li Qingcang couldn’t help but beam when he saw Ye Tianxin behave like a spoiled child.

“Oh, I never knew that my dearest sweetheart detests me so much…”

“No, no, that’s not true!”

Afraid that Li Qingcang would be misled into thinking that she hated him, Ye Tianxin quickly waved her hands and shook her head vehemently as she explained herself.

“That’s not what I mean. Elder Brother Li, you’re my favorite person.”

Li Qingcang held Ye Tianxin’s hand. He enjoyed the feeling of wrapping her tiny hands in his palms.

“Your favorite?” Li Qingcang questioned. However, he quickly recalled that some time ago, Ye Tianxin had mentioned that she was interested in someone, and he couldn’t help but ask with jealousy, “In that case, between that man and me, who do you like more?”

A look of confusion glazed over Ye Tianxin’s eyes, and she had a strange feeling that she would be in serious trouble if she failed to provide an appropriate answer to his question.

“I like you,” she muttered.

‘Elder Brother Li, you’re the person I like in this world,’ she thought.

Ye Tianxin could feel her heart thumping wildly inside her chest.

All of a sudden, Li Qingcang pressed down his lips on hers without any warning.

The words echoed in Ye Tianxin’s mind.

Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at Li Qingcang’s handsome features that were magnified before her.

Her heart was racing madly at that moment.

Li Qingcang held onto her slender waist with one hand as he supported her head firmly with the other.

The kiss was all too sudden and passionate.

Ye Tianxin was completely caught off guard.

She could only stare dazedly as he had his way with her. His lips felt cool, and she could taste the mild scent of peppermint in his mouth as his lips glided over hers.

Gradually, her heart began to melt.

“He’s kissing you,” said a voice inside her head.

“Do you like it?” the voice whispered.

‘Yes,’ she thought.

Ye Tianxin had never known how wonderful it felt to be kissed by someone she loved.

“Tianxin, could you not like him? Could you only like me?” Li Qingcang murmured.

He drew away from her luscious lips reluctantly and stroked it gently with his thumb as he pleaded with her. There was a rare hint of seriousness and restraint in his voice.

He actually yearned for the kiss to last a little longer.

However, he feared losing control of his hands and do things to her that he could only dream of.

He was afraid that he would frighten her.

“Elder Brother Li,” Ye Tianxin murmured.

Her voice sounded so ethereal, as if it belonged to another world.

“Yes?”

“Did you just kiss me?”

Ye Tianxin reached out her hands and cupped her burning cheeks.

‘Am I dreaming? Everything’s so perfect that it feels like a dream. It feels so surreal,’ she thought.
