Point-of-View: Sylvar Miirphys
———————————————————————————
What's with this girl...her eyes are terrifying, despite the position she's in, shackled to the wall and boxed in by multiple, various barriers, I couldn't see so much as a trace of fear in her expression.
"You are in no position to make demands, human," Scoffed Bell venemously.
"What, are you stupid or something? That was a request, not a demand, dummy," Retorted the human, her voice hoarse and her lips all cracked.
She looked exhausted and hungry too, that might be a part of her current attitude...assuming I'm right, her exhaustion, hunger and thirst are resulting in her unable to think clearly anymore, and in her daze, she isn't feeling any real fear.
"How dare you-...!?" Snapped Bell, stepping forward threateningly, before I held her back.
"Calm down, you're just playing into her hands, Bell. We're in control of this situation, and she knows it, she's just trying to rile us up because she's too tired, hungry and thirsty to know any better," I urged her.
"Tch...I suppose you're right, but-."
She was suddenly interrupted as the human girl threw her head back and let out a rough, scratchy laugh in amusement, before locking her gaze onto mine with a smirk...
"I'll admit, it was awfully careless of me to get captured so easily, and it doesn't look like Belia is going to rescue me this time, but...if you really think that this is enough to hold me, you're sorely mistaken...," She remarked, her voice growing quieter towards the end, before she suddenly let out a roar and strained her arms with a fierce look on her face.
"Do not bother, it is futile-...," Esta began with a frown, before trailing off in alarm as the barriers around her suddenly shattered, the chains of her shackles snapping as well.
"What-!?" Blurted out Bell in surprise.
"Now, get out of my way!" She exclaimed hoarsely, her third eye starting to open, when suddenly, a vicious crackle of lightning burst out as Bell shot towards her and pinned her down swiftly, slamming her onto the ground and zapping her with a sharp bolt of lightning, knocking her out.
Wow, that barely even lasted five seconds. Have to admit, breaking out of those chains and then resisting and shattering the barriers around her was impressive...but with two Elemental Sages here and her body in a weakened state like this, she never stood a chance of getting away.

"Well, that ended fast. But now what? She's unconscious again," I sighed, as she lay on the ground limply.
"We should restrain her more thoroughly, it will be a problem if she manages to escape," Frowned Bell, scratching her chin in thought.
After a few minutes of brainstorming, we decided to wrap her entire body up in chains, instead of just shackling her limbs, and put up several more barriers than before.
Alright, we've got her restrained again...but the question is, will she actually give us any information just because we ask? Somehow, I can't imagine that happening...
"Something like a brainwashing or hypnotizing spell would be useful right about now, because I don't think we can get her to talk otherwise," I remarked, voicing my concerns.
"I must agree, not long before you showed up, I checked in on her and she asked me if I was going to torture her...when I said that would depend on whether or not she would answer our questions, she said that in that case, she would not answer a single question we ask her. It was as if she wanted to be tortured," Spoke up Esta, sounding bewildered.
"What kind of deranged creature is this human?" Muttered Bell incredulously.
"Huh, but if she really does want to be tortured, I guess we could try telling her that we'll torture her if she does answer our questions...," I suggested uncertainly.
"I suppose we could try that once she regains consciousness," Sighed Bell, before turning to me with narrowed eyes, "I was wondering, Sylvar, about that spear you claimed off of that human you killed..."
"Oh, yeah, I haven't gotten a chance to really test it out yet, but...the moment I picked it up after killing him, I felt my physical state gain a significant boost, I feel both stronger and faster than I used to," I replied, throwing a couple of punches into the air.
"I see...one of the humans I fought had a hammer that could absorb and then discharge lightning, when I attempted to pick it up, my hand was repelled away...it would appear that to claim these weapons, one must first kill the current owner," She surmised, her eyes widening as she reached the realization.

"Do you want one of those weapons? I thought you weren't comfortable with large weapons, that's why you use those hidden daggers instead, right?" I inquired curiously.
"Well, yes but...I want that hammer," She mumbled sheepishly, averting her gaze as she turned slightly red.
Huh, wow...that was kinda super adorable.
"It's probably inevitable that sooner or later, we'll have to fight them again...so you'll probably get another opportunity at it," I pointed out.
"But what if someone else were to kill that human first?" She responded with a frown.
"Then kill whoever killed them," I answered with a shrug.
Wow, she, uh, really wants that hammer, doesn't she? Well, if it really can absorb and discharge lightning like she said, it's a pretty ideal weapon for her, she's got massive reserves of Lightning Magic to charge it with, after all.
Well, anyway...nothing we can do about it now without directly disobeying Sant, so for now, I guess we might as well wait for the feather-head human girl to wake up...

———————————————————————————
Something's not right...I just checked in on Sant with one of my hidden monsters, and the look on his face has changed...the bland, passive expression he had was gone, and a look of determination had replaced it.
And there was something more than that too...traces of aggression in his eyes, that told me he was planning something less than pacifistic. In which case...it looks like it's finally time for me to implement a plan that I've kept in the back of my mind for quite a while now.
Hey, Lazarus, Diablo, I need you two to tell me everything you know about the remaining monster kings.
"Hm? Ooh, are you finally going to do THAT?" Inquired Diablo, sounding excited.
"So, it's finally time, huh?" Chimed in Lazarus.
Yeah, that's right...so I'm going to need all the information you've got...
...
Alright, I think that about covers everything. I think I'll start with the Sea King. After all, I've rarely gotten to properly test out my ability to breathe underwater.
"Wait, you can breathe underwater? Huh, wow, you really can," Remarked Diablo in surprise, "But how, aren't all aquatic monsters under the Sea King?"
"Not all of them, Devilsharks, Hydras and Sea Serpents can all breathe underwater and none of them are under the Sea King," Pointed out Lazarus.
"Oh, right."
Now, then, let's get started shall we?
I formed a clone using Quintuple and sent it away for a particular task, before summoning a Sea Serpent that I had posted near the Kraken Forbidden Zone.
Abyss is surrounded by ocean to the east, north and west, and that particular Forbidden Zone is underwater in a spot to the north of Abyss. In other words, it was somewhere in the part of the sea that's above the underground dinosaur cavern.
And the water around it is likely to be a bit toxic, since the spot where the Forbidden Zone is at is closer to the edge of the wasteland than it is to Abyss.
Also, not only is the concentration of monsters in the sea higher in that spot, but there's also other sea creatures that you wouldn't normally see...plesiosaurs, mosasaurs, megalodons and other creatures that were long extinct in my old world.
I mean, since dinosaurs aren't extinct in this world, it stands to reason that other creatures that went extinct in my old world are still alive here.
Now, then...time to get going. Looks like my clone has finished doing what I wanted it to do...I then swiftly rejoined with the copy, before reversing the summoning of the Sea Serpent, and finding myself underwater...facing a massive Forbidden Zone barrier.
Alright...here goes nothing...

Ogre Tyrant
Tim wakes up to find he is naked and alone in a fantasy world. However, he is not as alone as he first thought. There are other people running around all over the place fighting monsters for a living. Unfortunately for Tim, he seems to be one of those monsters. Desperate for any degree of safety and normalcy he can find, Tim must tread a fine line between freedom and subservience to survive. All while trying to keep alive a trio of adventurers hellbent on becoming legends. However, unfortunately for Tim, he is not the only one from earth to awaken in this world and the other Awakened aren't nearly so benevolent. Warning: The protagonist begins the story quite cowed and meek but progresses into a more assertive and situationally dominant personality. This is partly due to growth, but also a result of the character overcoming initial shock and longstanding depression. If you think I could have handled a segment better, by all means, point it out and provide your reasoning and suggestion. Everyone's experience of depression is different, and Tim's is a close representation of my own, so it won't necessarily 'vibe' with everyone. Chapters are around 15k words and released approx 1/week over the weekend. Has been reduced to around 7.5k to 9k to better fit my schedule.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Czarina's Buccaneer
RELEASES EVERY MONDAY AT 18:30 CST ----- After suffering the torments of slavery, the destruction of his nation, and the massacre of his band of brothers, Rodion Kazansky craves revenge and yearns for the freedom owed to him as a proud Cossack. A lost horse and a chance meeting with the Catherine the Great set him off on a journey that will take him from the steppes of the Crimea to the beaches of the Gold Coast of Africa and back again. There he will face British slavers, pirates, and the ghosts of his past to become the bane of his enemies as the Czarina's Buccaneer. ----- DISCLAIMER: This novel acknowledges the fact that the Cossacks, and the Ukrainian people by extension, are unique and not simply a "different variety of Russians." The main character views the Russians as "moskal foreigners" and does not see himself as one. This also acknowledges the fact that the czarina deprived many of the Cossacks of their freedom, something that the main character resents.
