After destroying the Demon Blood Cult, Wang Shu Qing went back to the Wang family manor. He's currently flying over the Azure Skies City and any second now, he will be able to reach the manor.

Usually when a person of his standing arrives in the Kingdom, a big parade will be held to honor his arrival.

Also, he was the great General Wang Shu Qing. If he returns to the Azure Skies Kingdom a wave of excitement will undoubtedly wash over the populace. He will be welcomed by everybody and will be treated with respect.

But he didn't have the leisure time to experience that. He had to check up on his son and see if there's something he can do about his current situation. At the moment he was feeling really depressed as he realized that he had never even talked with Wang Ling before all this happened.

For the past month, Wang Shu Qing had only been hearing about Wang Ling's endeavor and daily activities thought the letters of Sun Wu. However, Wang Shu Qing had yet to actually hold an actual conversation with his son.

He had never even herd his voice nor had he seen him practice his sword.

[I really messed up this time.

I wish Fei'er can give me a nice slap right now and wake me up from my stupid approach in life.]

He soon reached the Wang family manor and landed in Wang Ling's courtyard. He had already been informed by Butler Sun that Wang Ling was recuperating in his courtyard so he didn't have to expand any energy to ask around for his son's whereabouts.

No one sensed Wang Shu Qing's arrival other than Qiqi who was quietly standing beside the sleeping Wang Yue inside Wang Ling's room. She turned to look at the door and there he saw Wang Shu Qing's figure entering.

Upon seeing Wang Shu Qing, Qiqi bowed respectfully as she acknowledged his presence: "Qiqi greets the Grand Master!" she said as she bowed.

Wang Shu Qing waved his right hand telling her to raise her head. He was well aware of this young maid's identity and inside he treated her as his niece. After all, this young maid of Wang Yue was Butler Sun's direct disciple.

"Qiqi, take Yue'er back to her room. She might feel some adverse effect if something bad happens. Also, after tucking her in, come back here as I have questions that needs answering."

He remarked as he walked over the Wang Yue's side and gave the little girl's forehead a soft and warmth kiss. Wang Yue's cherry-like lips rose to a gentle smile as she felt the warmth his father had given her.

Wag Yue had been awake for the entire night last night. It had only been an hour since she finally gave in and slept.

Qiqi did what she was told and took Wang Yue away to her room. Wang Shu Qing saw them off the room and began walking to Wang Ling's side.

His eyes found its way towards Wang Ling's severed left arm and felt guilt.

"My son, wait a little more and once we reach the main house I will concoct a pill to help you regrow your limb."

Wan Shu Qing shook his head as he knew that dwelling upon this matter will not be beneficial to the current situation.

If wants to get some form of punishment, then he better wait until he gets the chance to have a face to face talk with his wife. Taking his son's right hand, he began examining his internal body.

He first examined Wang Ling's meridians and veins. While he was examining his veins, a wisp of strange and overbearing qi suddenly assaulted the spirit qi he used to probe Wang Ling's body.

His spirit qi and that strange qi clashed. But the strange qi was soon suppressed by Wang Shu Qing's own overbearing qi. He was surprise to see that the

If not for his strength being sufficient enough to completely suppress it, Wang Shu Qing was sure that his spirit qi would be devoured by that strange qi.

"It really is hellish qi! The hellish qi has entered his bloodstream and is already altering his blood!! It's already nearing his bloodstream."

Wang Shu Qing was currently sixty-seven years old. He had been travelling all over the realm and seen countless things. He had experience a lot and had dealt with a lot. Some of which was bizarre and outlandish things that looked like out of this world.

He had seen unique constitution and unique bloodline, but he had never seen something like this. The hellish qi inside Wang Ling's body was actually beginning to mix together.

"If nothing is done, his blood will completely merge, but I can't exactly extract the hellish qi out of his blood. It already entered merged with his body and altered his muscles, it had even caused him to experience a cleansing at some point.

"If I foolishly try to extract the hellish qi out there's chance of him dying. However, if I don't do anything his whole body might just mutate and become a devil!"

Cleansing pertains to ridding of the body with impurities. It was a simple act of cleansing the body but the process can also alter the body for the better or for worse. In Wang Ling's case, the hellish qi had already made his body suitable for housing the overbearing and domineering hellish qi.

Wang Shu Qing was at a lost for word. He had never seen such a thing like this. He had vast amount of cultivation experience but in the face of this predicament he was left with no options of dealing with it.

Wang Shu Qing wanted to think of other methods on how Wang Ling's blood and the hellish qi can be separated but as he observed the movement of the hellish qi, the more Wang Shu Qing's face became ugly.

"It's getting closer to his blood essence! It will reach his blood essence any minute now, there's enough time to extract the hellish qi but the risk of him dying is too high. Will I let the hellish qi combine with his blood? But if I do that… he will have to suffer horrendous torture from the hellish qi modifying his bloodline…"

Wang Shu Qing was in a bind. One of the treatment was a high risk treatment where Wang Ling can die where the other one was a painful one where Wang Ling will suffer. It took a while but Wang Shu Qing finally decided what he should do.

"I'll… let him undergo the bloodline mutation. Although he will suffer with pain I can somehow help him alleviate it, so this is the best method on hand. I can't risk Ling'er's life in hopes of cleansing his body from the hellish qi."

As he said these words he took out a bright red pill from his storage ring and fed to Wang Ling. The bright red pill was called [Revitalizing Blood Earth Pill], it was a saint pill that helps the blood flow smoother.

Wang Shu Qing carried Wang Ling on his back. He then went out of the room as he had some place needed to be. He needed to leave now as the mutation of Wang Ling's blood was about to happen already.

He carried his son on his back as he got ready to leave. He had no mount with him in these Kingdom so he had to this. Wang Shu Qing was just about to find Qiqi to relay his commands when he saw her figure coming to his direction.

Qiqi stopped in front of him and he started relaying his commands without problem.

"I need to leave and go the Piercing Heaven Empire. Ling'er's bloodline is going to mutate and he needs a suitable place for him to do this. While I am gone, go and stettle everything needed to be settled.

"I need you to take Yue'er to the main house and inform Hong'er to return to the main house after his mission ends. I need to leave now!"

Wang Shu Qing disappeared from sight. He wrapped Wang Ling who was behind him with his spirit qi to make sure he will be protected from the air pressure that is about to come.

Wang Shu Qing had a lot of question lingering in his mind. But at the moment his priority was Wang Ling reaching the Piercing Heaven Empire as soon as possible.

Wang Shu Qing was unsure how long Wang Ling will need to complete his bloodline mutation but it shouldn't be any shorter than three days. He also does not know how Wang Ling's body will react with the bloodline mutation so he was doing his best to make sure to keep the side effects to a bare minimum.

As Wang Shu Qing was moving, he felt movement behind his back. He could feel the convulsion of Wang Ling's body suddenly going on and off as his blood essence was attacked.

Wang Shu Qing wanted to do something but he did everything he could at this point. He had already fed him the Revitalizing Blood Earth Pill and could only take Wang Ling to a suitable place for him to mutate his bloodline.

He can't help Wang Ling circulate his blood as the hellish qi will surely act violent if his spirit qi is detected. If that is to happen, bad things will happen and might cause his meridians and veins to suddenly explode.

"Ngng!!"

Wang Shu Qing could hear Wang Ling's pained screams. His son was in a coma but the pain was enough to make him feel the pain.

"Just wait Ling'er, I'll get you to Piercing Heaven Empire real soon." He said these words and quickly vanished from the horizon.
