Celestial Peak Chapter 81

Wang Ling moved into as day came but decided to go back to the cave and wait for night to fall. Night can act as a cover and he had previously prepared a set of black clothing in case such events like this occurs.
As night fell, Wang Ling noted the number of explosion he had heard throughout the day. There were three big explosions that shook the entire mountain and five minor ones that only affected a small area.
Of course his count was not accurate in regards to minor occurrences. After all, he still has yet to unlock a kind of [Spirit Sense] that can envelope the entire mountain.
Wang Ling looked around and left the cave with Bai Xue inside his clothes. Although Bai Xue can alter her size when she is in her white fox form, she cannot do so when she takes the form of other beasts. Because of these, Wang Ling had to keep her hidden as her white fur might attract enemies.
Wang Ling was wearing a black robe and a black cloth that was wrapped around his head. He wanted to get something like a tightfitting outfit that assassins wear, but he couldn't find one so he had to make do with this.
In the past, Wang Ling had done a lot of covert operations in order to steal a number of things. Although his success rate is terrifyingly low as he does not specialize in moving in the shadows, Wang Ling's cautious attitude was enough to make most assassins become ashamed of themselves.
Despite being fast and proficient in combat where movement was essential. Wang Ling never practiced any form of movement technique and only focused on gaining strength in simplicity. The first movement technique he has now was Soaring Devil.
Although he was not as experience in cultivating a movement technique compared to his martial techniques and mastery of weapons. Wang Ling still have enough experience to utilize the Soaring Devil innate technique and used it in both land and sky.
"Stop, someone is coming from your left." Bai Xue warned him as she sensed someone was coming. Her spirit sense was already unlocked, she can sense in a larger scale so Wang Ling trusted her judgement.
Wang Ling stopped and hid behind a tree, three people passed by overhead and disappeared.
"Alright, move." Bai Xue instructed.
This happened a couple more times and although it was annoying to always hide, Wang Ling never made a sound of complain.
Another group of people was coming towards his direction and this time, there were two groups. Wang Ling hid in a nearby foliage and wanted them to move on, but the two groups stopped as they neared one another.
"The, palace's been found. The Second senior is going to kill the devil that's guarding it and we are all called over to bring the sacrifices." One of the group leader said to the other.

The other group leader nodded his head as he asked, "What about those we caught inside the Ancient Creed Mountain? There were some who are a part of some reputed sect and powers. What should we do about them?"
"Why didn't you just kill them? Just behead them and feed them to the beasts. You can do as you please with the women, but make sure you kill after playing. We were asked to meet at the barrier in two hours, finish everything by then."
Although unwilling at first, Wang Ling was left with a smile on his face after hearing the conversation of those two groups. However, as the two groups left, Wang Ling realized something.
"Bai Xue, do you think the devil they are talking about is our target?" Wang Ling was waiting for an answer he wanted to hear which Bai Xue was unfortunately did not care about and answered him honestly.
"We are looking for a devil and these people are devil cultivators, I don't know if what they are talking about is the same, but there's a good chance that it is." Bai Xue answered and Wang Ling sighed.
He wanted to leave this place immediately as he didn't want to stay here any longer. After seeing that vision of barrier and palace, Wang Ling was starting to get more and more weird vibes. Something was calling him but his bloodline was rejecting that call.
However, he also didn't want to leave this place without any benefits. He wanted to mutate his bloodline as soon as possible and raise his strength, he wouldn't be leaving this place without getting what he wanted.
"Let's move." Wang Ling chose to follow those that were going to meet with the rest. He didn't care about those who was going to kill the hostages. Those hostages didn't have anything to do with him anyway.
Those guys who will kill them should have taken their valuables already so going to save them was unproductive. Wang Ling wouldn't move if there was no benefits that outstrips the risk.
Wang Ling hid his aura and presence like a professional and followed his targets as quietly as possible. Without making a single sound, Wang Ling was just like a shadow.
Wang Ling finally stopped following those guys a hundred meters away from the meeting point. As to how Wang Ling knew that the meeting point was in front, it was because there were more than a hundred devil cultivator present there.
Right now, the devil cultivators were gathered was at the back of the mountains where it was mostly rocky and lacked trees and foliage. Wang Ling was farther back and was hiding atop a tree.
He didn't want to get any closer as there was no good hiding place in there. He observed from a high vantage point and was able to see the whole scene.
In front of him were a hundreds of devil cultivators waiting for something below the rocky and steep area of the Ancient Creed Mountain. The more he looked farther, the less vegetation present.

Wang Ling frowned when his eyes caught sight of a flickering blue light. Circulating his Piercing Vision, Wang Ling tried peering into what that blue light was with his eyes squinted.
His Devil's Pupils matched with his Piercing Vision gave him eyesight that was far better than what he used to have. He had gained the ability to supposedly peer into the truth and see through illusions, barriers and many forms of trickery.
Wang Ling had never used this technique to see through anything but as he used it right now, he was doubting the legibility of his inherited memories and information. Because right now, he can't see through that blue light and only see a hazy light surrounding the rocky surface at the back of the mountain.
"This energy, I have felt this before. That light and this energy, there's only one thing that came close to this feeling."
While he was immersed in trying to see through that light, Bai Xue suddenly spoke.
"You have? Where? My eyes can't seem to see through it and I can't feel anything for that blue light."
Bai Xue popped her head out of Wang Ling's shirt and looked ahead to look ahead. With her paws holding Wang Ling's neckline, she pointed the light in front with her ears and started explaining.
"That qi came from Heaven Realm not only that… but it also came from Middle Heaven where the [Sacred Light Dragon] who imprisoned me came from."
Bai Xue really hated the dragon who imprisoned her in that ball of blood. She hated it so much that she would occasionally mumble in her sleep as to how she will kill and devour that dragon once she reaches its level.
Although Wang Ling was aware that Bai Xue knew that the dragon should have improved by leaps and bounds by now, Bai Xue still wanted daydreaming on how to skin that bastard.
Listening to Bai Xue, Wang Ling came to understand a couple of things. First, this light came from Heaven Realm and these devil cultivators shouldn't be here and looking for this light.
They were devil cultivators, Heaven and Hell Realm were polar opposite. Wang Ling did not understand why they are here in this mountain looking for this light. However, Wang Ling remembered his vision and the words of those devil cultivators.
He was enlightened all of a sudden. They weren't here for this light, but the thing that was behind this light. In his vision, there was a palace behind the barrier. As to what was inside that palace, he didn't know.
"Wang Ling, look over there." Bai Xue tugged on Wang Ling's robes as a spirit beast with the aura of a devil rose into the air and roared.
Wang Ling showed a wry smile after confirming the beast. It was the Ancient Devil Wyvern he and Bai Xue had been searching for.
Wang Ling watched the Ancient Devil Wyvern fly into the air and tried to flee from the devil cultivators when a figure soar into the air and slashed out one of its wings. The Ancient Devil Wyvern plummeted into the ground as it wailed in pain.
It look at the human that had gravely injured it and begrudgingly said, "This barrier had been here even before this mountain got its name. My ancestors said that if any foolish humans were to try and open it, devastation will sweep through the lands."
The Ancient Devil Wyvern spoke in human tongues but the human acted like it had not heard its words and directly beheaded the spirit beast that was on its last breath. That person then extracted its blood essence and kept it in a jade bottle for future uses.
Wang Ling saw all of this happen and marked that devil cultivator. However, after playing out hundreds inside his head, Wang Ling shook his head.
"That should be the Second Senior they spoke of, he's already a level-4 nascent soul stage cultivator and this many followers is enough to kill us a hundred times over. Killing him is going to be hard, no it is already impossible. Let's leave, I'll just make do with what I have."
Bai Xue commented after hearing his complains, "I can take him out but the other devil cultivators will kill us. I can't suggest moving for the kill. I agree with you plan, risking our lives is going to be stupid."
Wang Ling agreed with her words, he was just about to turn back when Bai Xue stopped her and dragged her deeper into the foliage to hide.
"It's a level-9 nascent soul cultivator, we can't get out of here now. Shit, we can't make any sudden moves now. Don't move and try to leave, we will die if we act recklessly." Bai Xue warned Wang Ling.
Wang Ling didn't say anything back and kept his silence. The situation had turned for the worst and the idea of killing the Second Senior has now been demolished. Wang Ling and Bai Xue had been put in a very dangerous situation that they could live or die if they make any wrong move.
This was the dangers of the cultivation world. Although there are fortuitous encounters happening from time to time, dangerous situations are more prevalent and commonplace.
Not everyone can be favored by goddess of luck, sometimes, the one favoring you is Lord Death himself. As to how you must survive it depends on your capabilities.
[Argh, I want some kind of dog shit luck.] Wang Ling grumbled as he once again remembered a tale regarding those heroes who has the luck that can make the God himself keel over.

The Genre of My Life Was Randomized?
The wheel spun and the genre changed. In every chapter, a new canvas made up of a thousand words was formed. I, the creator, do not know the future of this novel. I, the author, is but a mere slave that writes and creates what the wheel has given. What would happen after? What fate awaits the main character? When would you encounter the next chapter? Besides the latter, only the wheel could answer. Author's Note:Salutations dear reader. I'd like to dissuade you from reading this novel due to the following facts: 1. I am an amateur/new/beginner writer so it could be said that I don't know what I'm doing. 2. This novel is something which I wrote in order to hone my skills in adaptability, creativity, and writing in of itself. 3. Every chapter was made after spinning a wheel with the genres: Action, Horror, Romance, Comedy, Fantasy (as of writing) twice. The genres then would be showed in the chapter through theme, part of the story, flow, character, or whatever man idk. In case the wheel would show the same genre twice, the chapter itself would have the result as the main theme of the story with the other genres being free to use in order to fully show the theme. 4. I'm basically yoloing the story, trying to make sense of it even with the randomness of the current and future chapters; I swear I'm not a masochi.. *ahem* moving on, a variable left by the previous chapter won't suddenly just disappear because the next chapter doesn't have the same genre as before, meaning if a character that fits a genre was shown on let's say "Chapter 1", said character wouldn't just disappear or cease to exist for no reason at "Chapter 2" or the following chapters just because the character doesn't fit the genres. To make it short this isn't a collection of short stories but one big story instead. 5. Etc.

[Archive] Legend of the Nameless Hero
A WhiteSamurai original Web Novel There are always the mysterious tales of heroes, those who fight against the Demons, who fight for justice and those who head mighty quests against tyranny. Heroes that are born to destiny, Heroes that are forged through tragedy, and Heroes that are brought to the world in times of great peril and strife. Not all true Heroes are wanted or beloved, but all life understands, that throughout all time and space, for those who truly stand as Heroes, they never need to be called one. The sands of time are the only true judge for those who journey upon the true path, the only one they will ever need. This is the tale, no, the Legend, the Legend of the one who throughout all time, would forever be, the First Hero. This is Their story, a story of true hardship, of a sorrow greater than any other that would stand as a symbol of inspiration no matter the test of time. A tale of darkness, a true curse, an impending evil hidden beyond the horizons that threatened the very future of existence. This is the tale, of one of the few great figures, who, in the face of true evil, continued to stand. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Disclaimer: _______________________________________________________________ . . . All Chapters are subject to sudden revision, scrapping, or complete removal from the canonical storyline. The author of "Legend of the Nameless Hero" uses RoyalRoad as a method of experimentation with genre's and writing styles for Fantasy-style works for the sake of eventual publication. The end result isn't to release perfect chapters on RoyalRoadl, but eventually develop the story as intended using the best material to produce the highest quality work. The best mentality when reading works from WhiteSamurai is to see it as the ability to read and review pre-release transcripts or "Rough Copies" before publication. Viewer discretion and maturity are both requested and required. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :About: _______________________________________________________________ . . . This story follows direct character point of views along with an intentional third person narrative to explain to the readers what the characters won't. (I don't use my characters to go give extensive explanations for every last thing like EVERYTHING DOES) This tale shall encompass the life of the Hero from the moment she is summoned into the Kingdom of Kremor, to the Legendary Final Clash. This isn't your run of the mill hack and slash raise an army and conquer, I don't follow that bandwagon. Real life holds politics, intrigue, economics, structure, populations, civil opinions, history, psychology, heart, suffering, wonder, advancement, curiosity, ambition, and so many more things that would lead to me hitting some character limit. I refuse to take the same route that others use by simply ignoring these factors, my worlds, my stories, are as real as they get. There's no plot armor here, if someone screws up, they've screwed up and there's no magical sword in a well for them. I write in 'Seasons' not 'Books' as many often do, these are generally, not always, hundreds of chapters long, though as I have yet to finish a season, the average length is in the air. I go by an ideal of what I call 'Universal Lore' which includes the policy that things that exist within the story don't follow the rule where the Protagonist needs to be there so that it will happen. There will be some things that will happen, and the hero, and sometimes the reader, won't know happened until they enter a place, or news gets to them. A person needs to be in the right place at the right time, I hate plot holes and meta characters above all else... For my works, comments are practically demanded as reactions, thoughts, and various viewpoints are like sweet fuel to my writing spirit. Reviews are highly accepted and appreciated, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE EDUCATED AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED. Those that throw down a low rating ARE HIGHLY REQUESTED to extensively detail and explain their viewpoints on the work. They should also be willing to come back to the work at a later date if messaged by the Author, Me, due to issues they mentioned being taken care of. I'm never against scrapping a chapter or rewriting several paragraphs if there are character or story discrepancies. I want the highest quality work possible, and every comment, every review, are tools for me to use to further that goal. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Status: (Ongoing)
