Celestial Peak Chapter 114

"First Young Master, are you alright?" The two members of the Shadow Pavilion rushed to Wang Ling's side as fast as they could after getting the go from Bai Xue.
They trusted Bai Xue's judgment as she had been together with Wang Ling far longer than they were. The two Shadow Pavilion members came down and kneeled before Wang Ling held up a blue pill that was the size of a marble.
"Please eat this [Saint Healing Pill]." The Shadow Pavilion member presented it to Wang Ling, but Wang Ling just took it but didn't ingest it. This act made the two members of the Shadow Pavilion.
Wang Ling saw this and chortled as he took out a towel to wipe away the blood from his face. It was his own blood and Wang Ling was smiling as he felt his body itching all over.
Burning the dirty towel, Wang Ling looked at the two Shadow Pavilion member looking at Wang Ling and said, "Don't worry about my wellbeing, I am fine and will heal without that pill. But I will be holding on to it for now."
The two members of the Shadow Pavilion nodded their heads and went back to their previous positions.
Bai Xue walked up to him and looked at him from two meters away. She liked going up to him but with his clothes dyed red from blood, she would rather keep herself tidy.
The smile on Wang Ling's face caught Bai Xue's attention. His bloodied image just didn't much his beaming expression. It was too weird for her that she just knew something good came out of the risks he took.
"It seems like getting the technique from all that trouble was worth it. So, what did you get this time?"
Wang Ling smiled and said, "Oh, it's something good indeed."
His soul had calmed down and various information was flowing in his brain explaining the only thing he inherited from his bloodline. The Light Bearer was a simple technique that the more Wang Ling thinks about it, the more it made him smile.

It was a technique that augments both the absorption rate of qi and regeneration. It was an innate technique that increases a lot of things in his cultivation and way of living.
With a faster absorption rate, he will be able to cultivate faster. With greater regeneration, he will be able to heal faster from wounds. Although he was only at the first level of Light Bearer, his absorption and regeneration could be increased by a fold.
But that wasn't what he liked the most. It was, the technique could be used without any consequences other than activating his bloodline and calling out his halo. The halo was his connection to the golden halo on the mindscape that was also connected to the depths of Heaven Realm.
The presence of the halo was a must if he wanted to use the said innate technique. But that was a deal he was willing to take. Activating his bloodline does not take anything away from him anyway.
Also, it was publicly known that he was someone who had the bloodline that came from heaven. He had nothing to hide about his bloodline and if he keeps his mouth shut about it, there would be no one to know of any major secret he has.
Bai Xue listened to Wang Ling's rumblings and by the time he finished, she had her mouth open. That innate technique of his was too much. It was too strong, why was that so?
It was mere passive abilities that did not have any attack capability but with it. Wang Ling could improve at a faster and even more terrifying rate. This made Bai Xue think twice about slacking off if she didn't want to be left out.
"Those innate techniques of yours is not something a mortal like you should have. Hmm, do you by chance have any way I can have that innate technique as well?"
Wang Ling just shook his head from her nonsense. She was jealous of him but it wasn't like her innate technique was not something heaven-defying itself.

The ability to take the form and ability of every beast that had the bloodlines of the four guardians. That introduction was only surfaced level, if Bai Xue was to utilize everything well, she will be able to quickly raise her cultivation.
[Shit, I need to quickly get used to that new inheritance after I fully devour the Frost Dragon. If I can pull this off, I might just be able to constantly use it even without the presence of the blood essence of some higher being.
Wang Ling is starting to feel good but it was not yet the time to properly start cultivating because he had yet to recover. So, as he waited, he began going through the only innate technique he inherited from his True Devil General Bloodline.
[Soul Devouring], it was an innate technique that could enhance his cultivation by devouring the souls of other beings. It was a devilish and devious technique that is looked down upon by others.
It was a technique that needs him to devour the soul of others thereby stripping them of the chance of ever reincarnating. It was a terrible act but Wang Ling has no care of how he should do this.
Such a shame though, Wang Ling cannot use this technique but must first devour the soul of a saint spirit beast for it to activate. Wang Ling will need the help of his family to start its cultivation.
Qigang should be enough. Wang Ling could cultivate this technique on their way back to the main house. It was not a problem at all. They do not need to worry about having to care about Qigang's safety.
He was a Grand Saint. He only needs a Minor Saint soul and he will finally be able to cultivate this technique without a problem. However, there was one key point he was looking out for.
What if in the process of devouring souls, Wang Ling gets devoured by their thoughts and desires. That would be undesirable results Wang Ling did not want to have.
[I would need the presence of my cosmic palace then. Its refinement ability is top-notched. Also, there's the Heaven Flame, I am well prepared for most events."
Being prepared for almost everything was something that Wang Ling was super keen on. He will not let anything pass his eyes. Unless something truly unexpended happens would be the only time Wang Ling would be surprised.
Wang Ling has shame but it wasn't easily seen by others. So, he got up and started changing his clothes in nearby foliage. While he was doing so, he felt the ground rumbling.
The rumbling soon stopped but Wang Ling became worried about his people who were all below looking for opportunities.
He finally finished changing clothes and began to return to where he sat before. He sat down and set up a little formation of stellar stones around him. Wang Ling began cultivating and as he did, he summoned his halo and the absorption started to skyrocket.
Wang Ling's cultivation was soaring. And Bai Xue too. The two who could possibly be the fastest cultivators alive were improving once again. And soon, four days passed and Wang Ling's cultivation had already improved to peak-late-level-2 nascent soul stage.
Also, Bai Xue's cultivation reached the late-level-3 nascent soul stage. She had now fully assimilated the bloodlines she had in her veins. Her innate qi also gave her new ability after doing so.
On the fourth, their improvements was the big news. It was, after all the day when the tomb raid finally comes to an end and the rest of the people came out of the tomb.
