Wang Ling was embraced by Xiao Fei'er for a long time. She was both thanking the heavens for healing his son and was continuously apologizing for the 'wrongs' she had done.

Patting the back of her mother, Wang Ling spoke in a soft tone, "Mother, you have done nothing wrong. The teachings you have imparted to me when I was a child helped me grow quicker and see the light of the world faster than I could imagine.

"The teachings you had painstakingly tried to teach to someone who had no soul had to lead me to become what I am today. If not for you taking the time and effort to teach someone like me, I wouldn't be out here mere years after I awaken so, thank you, Mother."

Xiao Fei'er held his son even tighter in her arms and it took another ten minutes before she managed to stop her tears. She brought her face away from Wang Ling's. Her eyes were red and swollen after all that crying.

Standing straight, she was half a head shorter when standing before her son. But even still, she gave him a light pat on the head and then touched the pearly white skin of his son and said affectionately:

"You have grown strong even without my guidance, Ling'er."

Wang Ling smiled and wiped the tears from his mother's face, circulating his angelic qi, he soothed her eyes and had it return to normal in seconds.

Xiao Fei'er was surprised when the soothing angelic qi entered her meridians. The regenerative effects it carried was enough to shock even someone like her.

"Ling'er, this…" Xiao Fei'er became speechless.

"It is qi from the deepest parts of the Heaven Realm. I do not know why, but my soul is currently connected to the Heaven Realm. If I had to guess, the reason why I was asleep for all those years is deeply related to this."

Wang Ling made up a lie that was technically not a lie as it was base on truth in order to comfort his mother's worries. Even though Xiao Fei'er does not show it, he knew that she was secretly blaming herself for his previous complications.

He was her first child and from his memories, he could tell how much effort she had given in order to find a cure for her child.

Although from his memories, he would only hear bits of shouts and requests coming from afar. Wang Ling knew the distress she was experiencing.

Xiao Fei'er was a tough woman and an even tougher mother figure, she was someone that should be respected. Someone strong and valiant yet soft and caring.

She was the kind of person that greatly resembles someone Wang Ling greatly respects and even borderline worships from the previous era.

Being happy was kind of foreign to him, though he does experience joy when he was together with his partner. Speaking of which, he remembered Bai Xue:

After wiping away the tears of his Mother, Wang Ling turned to the sound of someone sniffling ever so silently. Wang Ling saw Wang Yue who also had eyes that had swollen because of crying too much.

"Why are you crying so much?" Wang Ling asked the lass and circulated his angelic qi to return her eyes to normal. As Wang Ling did so, Wang Yue was saying, "I'm happy!" before hugging Wang Ling and Xiao Fei'er.

Wang Ling ruffled the lass' hair and smiled. He stretched his body and turned to his mother, asking, "What brings you here, Mother? It couldn't be just to see me right?"

Xiao Fei'er recovered from all the drama and reverted to her normal proud and valiant character. He answered Wang Ling normally, "What's wrong with just seeing you? I can come here no matter when if I want to see my son, Old Lu won't be able to do shit if I come knocking on his doors."

Wang Ling looked at his mother suspiciously and Xiao Fei'er shook her head and explained, "Fine, it is not just to see my Ling'er. I am also here to pick you up, as I will be bringing you, three siblings, to my Clan.

"Your grandparents have yet to see any of you and they can't exactly leave the Clan Manor so easily. I was originally planning on bringing you and have them try to awaken you, but now that you are fine, I will just bring you there to show you off." Xiao Fei'er snickered.

Wang Ling raised his brows and asked, "Oh, is Wang Hong already here?"

Xiao Fei'er shook her head and explained, "We're going to pick him up from the Water Domain. He's currently with the princess of the Tranquil Empire."

Wang Ling was surprised to hear about the Water Domain. He remembered about the information he was given by Butler Sun and then remembered Bai Xue's request.

Xiao Fei'er noticed his reaction and her mind started guessing wildly what could have made him react like so. Curiosity and interest got over her and said, "Do you have any business in the Water Domain? If you have a thing for the princess of the Tranquil Empire, say it now, I don't want to see my children fighting over a woman…"

Wang Ling was surprised to hear Xiao Fei'er so open and immediately shook his head and rejected the idea of having any interest in the Tranquil Empire's princess.

Xiao Fei'er frowned for a moment as she got it wrong but managed to revert to her normal self, moments later. Wang Ling found his Mother's ever-changing show of emotion quite interesting.

"So, let us go. Old Lu had been waiting outside for far too long. He should be feeling irritated and wants me out of the academy after for so long."

Wang Ling nodded his head, "She and I had been planning to go the Water Domain for some business and she should be breaking through grand saint stage in a few days or hours so I wish to bring her with me."

With an oh*, Xiao Fei'er commented, "Then, do we need to wait for her to come out? Breaking through is not so easy after all."

Wang Ling shook his head and laughed, "Don't worry, she can cultivate while moving. It won't matter to her whether you bring her along while she cultivates."
