A gust of wind blew and carried the dust of the colosseum to go around the whole place. Four youths were struggling to climb the Heart Rendering Stairs, these four youths were the greatest geniuses of the Heaven's Will Academy.

They were of the youths who stood at the top of the talents in the realm, yet at the day where they were supposed to shine the brightest, they were currently being outshined by someone from outside the academy.

As they struggle to land a single step on the 80th step of the stairs, Wang Ling had already climbed the 100th step and was casually looking over them like some sort of senior.

The geniuses were left speechless at this sight. A youth that seemed to be as young, if not younger than they are were looking down upon them.

It was not a good feeling to have. The four youths stared at Wang Ling with mixed emotions and Wang Ling could not care to bother about them as his thoughts were wandering.

The three hours mark came and Wang Ling, together with the four geniuses of Heaven's Will Academy descended from the stairs. The four geniuses found it hard to descend, but Wang Ling merely walked with leisure.

Standing side by side with the other four geniuses who were sweating bullets, Wang Ling looked at them with a smile yet said no word. The other four took that as some sort of challenge when in fact Wang Ling merely wishes to let them know that they tried.

[These kids are good, if not for the fact that their wills are not tempered enough, they would have also managed to climb up till the 100th step.]

Wang Ling mused. As Wang Ling stood there with the other geniuses, the spectators cheered loudly. He once again looked around, Yan Renhuo and Wang Yue were both cheering wildly, Wang Hong was motioning with his thumb and Xiao Fei'er was merely nodding her head.

Wang Ling saw her turn her head to the side and then exchange gazes with an old man he does not know. Xiao Fei'er looked at her and after a pause, she showed a smug look on her face as if saying, "that's my son over there.'

Wang Ling was flustered, proud and glad all at the same time. Having an active family seems good and all, but he had to wonder how come his mother doesn't do anything other than going around the realm? Does she not have any responsibilities to take care of?

And how come that Yan Renhuo was with them? Not that Wang Ling had any problem with her presence as he actually founds her presence pleasant to have. Seeing her having a pleasant time with Wang Yue also made Wang Ling smile.

Wang Ling moved his eyes more and focused on the other spectators, he moved his eyes around and in one of the seats that was located west of him, Wang Ling saw a masked individual seated on her seat watching the selection play out.
