Celestial Peak Chapter 207

In the Raging Thunder Stage, there were ten pillars overlooking the entire stage. These ten pillars were the 'spectators' seats' seat of the stage.
The ten pillars surrounded the stage and the circular stage that is in the middle carries on with its job of staging the fights of the students who wishes to dominate one another and rise to the challenge.
The Raging Thunder Stage is one of the biggest stages in the entire central region. Having a radius of 500-meters, the stage that carried a blue hue was a grand stage for grand occasions, and every ten years, just before the Ten Year Bout commences, the Festival of the Thundergod is held to decide who would participate on the Ten Year Bout.
Three spots are open and the hundreds of youths who qualify for the single spot are those whose name is currently listed in the Raging Thunder Board. Those who are on the board are contenders, but in all truthfulness, those who are Grade-B and A Rankers or the top 20 to 1 ranker are the only ones who have the right to represent the academy.
No one from below the rank of 20 had gotten the right to represent the academy in the last 753 years. The lowest the ranking had been shaken up was when a ranked 47 student swept the Festival and claimed the position with his own two hands.
That youth would later become a headmaster of the academy, he was The Raging Beast of the West Lu Tao.
After seven and a half centuries, Lu Tao had already grown accustomed to the sight of students Grade-B and up fighting for dominance to become the representative of the academy.
But now, he is expecting something new. A kind of excitement that he had not felt since he became he fought with the Fleeting Sword of the Xiao Clan or meeting the War God of the newly established Wang Family.

Standing on top of the [Red Pillar] which is the tallest pillar of the ten pillars, Lu Tao observed the Raging Lightning Stage with a wide grin on his face. Lu Tao's body started producing lacerating lighting.
"Master, you are doing it again. Please don't act like that, it is too early for you to go senile and start producing lightning without reason like this." A cold but alluring voice came from behind him.
Behind Lu Tao was a beautiful young lady, she was the same young lady who had guided Wang Ling in the secret room before. Her identity was obviously the current disciple of Lu Tao, but as for how capable she is, no one truly knows.
She is Mao Lan, the Calm Judge of the Heavens, the one who stands at the peak of the academy.
Mao Lang was the third and last personal disciple Lu Tao had taken in under his wings. She is also the greatest talent he had managed to find and at the young age of eighteen, she was already at Saint Phase.
In the current younger generation of the realm, she is considered as a peak personality in the [Dragons and Phoenixes] of the central region. Dragon and Phoenixes, a kind of ranking that exists in the entire central regions.
Separating the ranking of the men and women, it is the kind of ranking that only monstrous geniuses had the right to enter. There were previously 38 Dragons and 33 Phoenixes in the whole central region.
Mao Lan held the fourth-strongest Phoenix in the central region, aside from the moniker of Calm Judge of the Heavens, she was also known as the Phoenix of Calamity. Two monikers both possessing the extremes of different spectrums.
Lu Tao turned to look at his oh-so-wonderful disciple and groaned, "Do you really have to speak like that, Lan'er? You are going to break this old man's heart if you continue doing that. Please respect me some more."

Mao Lan merely scoffed as if she held her master in contempt while saying, "I do respect you master, yes, I truly do. Isn't that right, Senior Martial Brother Fu Peng?"
A man named Fu Peng who was quietly standing beside Lu Tao also groaned like Lu Tao after hearing Mao Lan's words, "Please don't drag me to this, Junior Sister Mao. Also, please don't push the master, Junior Sister. Having him cry while drinking is too much for me to handle, so don't push him past that point."
Lu Tao looked at Fu Peng with a surprised expression. With his mouth agape, he could not speak for a while. Feeling depressed, he said with grief, "Peng'er, how could you say such a thing. As the current Thunderlord how could you lie like that, where will I put, my face if a false rumor of this old man crying circulates in the circle of the Grand Elders?"
Lu Tao promptly turned his head to the Grand Elders who was with them on top of the Red Pillar and observed them with a serious expression on his eyes. They turned their eyes away from him as they tried their hardest to stifle the laughter.
Irritated, Lu Tao waved his hands and looked at Mao Lan, "Little one, you really do need to be taught a lesson. I did not want to do it, but I think I'll ask the brat of Xiao Fei'er to teach you some manners in place of your master. Did you not say you were interested in fighting him before?"
Mao Lang shook her head as she announced, "I am not interested in him anymore. Someone more interesting popped up yesterday, after all."
"Oh, who is that? For that person to grab your attention, he must be pretty strong. Who is it? Was it Wei Hu? I'm warning you, that kid is unstable so don't try and…"
"Do not jump to conclusions old man, the one I am interested in is not Wei Hu but… that one…"
Lu Tao turned his head towards the direction of Mao Lan's fingers and saw a cute white fox that is elegantly heading up to the middle of the stage. He might be hundreds of meters above, but with his keen eyesight, he could observe the fox as if it was in front of him.
"The white fox? What's so special about it? Also, is that even a student on the Raging Thunder Board?"
Mao Lan shook her head, "Just wait…"
Just as she said those words, the white fox stopped on her tracks and then looked around the crowd.
A loud voice then echoed around the mountain where the stage was built on, "I am Bai Xue, the 100th ranker of the Raging Thunder Board, I challenge everyone who is above me in the ranking!"
Mao Lan turned to Lu Tao as she said, "See, she is cute and fearless, isn't she interesting?"
