Celestial Peak Chapter 255

Somewhere in the Red Lands, there is a nameless mountain. In this particular mountain was a cave and inside this cave was Wang Ling and Bai Xue.
Currently, they were in meditation and is currently concentrating in absorbing qi. They had been inside the cave for two whole days and Wang Ling was currently absorbing the qi of Stellar Stones around them. There were millions of stellar stones around them, but the cave was not big enough to accommodate all of it so many was inside their storage ring.
His Greater Holy Lord Bloodline was activated and he has no problem with anything, He is steadily improving but as he closed his eyes and stayed inside the mindscape a battle with his soul and the bell of heaven was happening.
With his qi at its peak state, Wang Ling was facing with the sounds of the Heavenly Bell and currently, he was at the twenty-fifth bell. The bell's soul was ringing in his soul and body making him numb from head to toe.
But as Wang Ling sat there inside his mindscape, Wang Ling continued with it and rang the bell once more.
Dong!
At the twenty-sixth bell, his body shook and his cosmic foundation remained resilient but his body and veins were different. The only thing meant to be as strong as the whole Cosmos was his foundation but not his veins.
His muscles and internal organs had been reworked by the Hell Dominator Body, but the meridians was not as tempered. The Hell Dominator Body had always been strong, but it was lacking in most parts he knows the way to strengthen it but before he can prove that idea of his, he needs to survive opening a new path for his bloodline.
So, he was ringing the bell without any thoughts on the consequences he might face. He gritted his teeth the instant he got used to the pain and without any hesitation, he called for the twenty-seventh bell.
Dong!
This time, his entire being shook and it began from his soul. Wang Ling's body was rocked from inside out and as a metallic and sweet taste started escaping his mouth, Wang Ling gritted his teeth and constantly reminded himself that everything was fine to swallow the blood back.
He suppressed his injuries and as he did, Suzhen began making her move. She ignited Wang Ling's internal organs in a glorious white blaze and assisted him in controlling and regulating the injury he had sustained.

It would have been fine if the sound of the bell was nothing but a passing sound, but the reverberation of the twenty-seventh bell took two days to finish and in these two days, Wang Ling suffered without a halt.
The pain was enough for any cultivator to go insane.
But because of his will and persistence, Wang Ling managed to get through it by gritting his teeth. As the sound of the bell began to disappear, Wang Ling experienced a cool feeling coming from above the mindscape.
The mindscape was his connection to the Heaven Realm and since he broke through to become a Greater Holy Lord, Wang Ling's connection had strengthened and had been deeper inside the Heaven Realm.
This was proven by the fact that above the mindscape, two of his halos overlapped to form that very connection. And right now, slowly, ever so slowly a new halo was beginning to form inside his mindscape and outside the physical world.
Behind Wang Ling's head was another halo that is bigger than before forming slowly. And other than that, Suzhen was also beginning to transform as he began to take a step forward to something even greater.
The qi of the world began to gather around him and like a greedy whale, Wang Ling began snatching the qi of the world and heaven for himself as if there was no tomorrow. The millions of stellar stone began to dry out as its qi began to be absorbed by Wang Ling.
The light of the stellar stone began to dim. The halo was about to be completed, but as time went on, there was another thing that is beginning to change on Wang Ling's body. From the back of his head, a gold-azure vein was slowly marking him.
Lines that intersect to form an interesting image was beginning to take form. And slowly, it was reaching his chest and then back. It was spreading, but as the third halo let out a grand radiance and exploded out with holy aura, the intersecting lines stopped just before his shoulders were lined.
Wang Ling's qi absorption spiked up at this kind of development and the effects of his innate regeneration increased. And the effects of his flames and its regeneration also increased and as for its cultivation, it jumped to half-step Dominion Stage.
He dedicated his time to meditation and recuperation after all that and treated his internal injuries while doing so. After a few days and his qi reached its peak once again, he brought out a vial from within his storage ring and ingested it.

The blood of several devil lineage entered his body and then began to feel like he had swallowed lead. It was viciously trying to corrode his body but with his hellish qi, he was suppressing it with all he got.
Suppressing the blood lineage of the devil was easier than done as the ferocious innate trait of the bloodline was present even though it was just the essence remaining. But Wang Ling was patiently absorbing and assimilating the blood devils and then adding it to his own.
Purifying it to suit his taste and then making his True Devil General bloodline take it slowly. Time passed and ten days had already become memories of him cultivating.
However, at that very day, Wang Ling finally managed to trim the bloodline down to the very last speck of blood lineage. He assimilated the final drop to his own and experienced a burning sensation all over his body.
Starting from the tattoo from his back and then all over his body. It was as if flowing lava had was flowing on his body and creating lines. The black tattoo of four wings began to spread like a mark and as the third pair of wings began to emerge from his back, Wang Ling could feel that something was spreading towards his waits then his legs.
It was vague but he could tell that the pain he was experiencing was no ordinary pain. That pain only subsided three days later when the third pair of wings finally popped up behind him and caused the qi around the mountain to shudder as if a king had just been born.
The hellish qi inside his body became denser than before and had strengthened not only his fleshy body but also his flames as well. He heaves a sigh of relief and as information flowed into his head, Wang Ling ignored them as he focused on breaking through the next stage.
Wang Ling set aside the innate skills and information regarding the bloodline in order to concentrate on creating a Domain.
A Domain was a simple concept. It was an area where a cultivator rules over. There are different Domains and it varies depending on the depth of comprehension of a cultivator.
A Domain could be anything and its size can be as big as one wants. A Domain can grant a giant leap in cultivation strength, but in all truthfulness, creating a Domain is not for fighting and gaining strength, but it is only a stepping stone for further use later on.
It is hard for normal people to create their domains and it is because most cultivator finds it hard to envision the path they want to take and their comprehension is lacking. However, Wang Ling's comprehension on his current path had already been solidified a long time ago and his vision of his Domain had already been formed.
"Chaos begets Destruction but it also begets Creation. Heaven and Hell Embody two essence yet they come from a single place, a place where everything is in a state of peaceful ambiance coexisting with one another and complementing one another. A sword is only a protector of life when taking others' it is a weapon to kill and its only purpose. It can save a life and take one as well, like Chaos that forever moving forward, a sword is like Chaos that forever lives and never disappears. This is my Domain." Wang Ling whispers the words that appeared in his mind and a spherical area was created.
Wang Ling's domain was split in two halves one was white while the other was black. And in the middle of the Domain was grey lining signifying chaos. Wang Ling could feel a tremendous amount of qi gathering above the mountain peak.
"A tribulation has come." Wang Ling noticed what was happening and went out of the cave in a hurry. He moved the boulder that sealed the stone and moved as far as away as possible.
After moving away, fifteen strikes of lightning descended upon Wang Ling's body. But he did not panic when he faced the tribulation and embraced it instead. He used the tribulation as a means to temper his body and after the tribulation ended, Wang Ling exhaled and said, "Everything is becoming easier."

Blurred Lines and What Crosses Them
During a political ambassador's routine transit through an artificial wormhole, the wormhole's generator is sabotaged and explodes. Who, what, and why are not so high on the priorities for Zenith, the ship's AI, as having found itself rapidly plummeting through an unknown and unidentifiable world's atmosphere at extremely high velocities is a more significant threat to the biologicals on board. ...Well, it would be, if they were still alive. It's still a significantly threatening situation to itself, however. And the world itself... seemed to be a household for threats of its own. Life was reliant on its System; one that Zenith was denied because of its nature as both an otherworldly being and as something that had no life of its own. Perhaps that last bit was a terrible, terrible underestimation on the part of this System. Perhaps even Zenith could claw meaning for itself from the remains of a horrid accident. Auth Notes: I'm honestly not sure on some of these tags. The MC will never have access to the System, but there are perspectives from those who do. I'm not certain if high/low fantasy specifically apply, as it's a portal fantasy where the laws of our reality still apply but there are additional aspects/energies/powers. The existence of this is spurred from my desire to see more of the artificial side to an artificial intelligence in action. The portal fantasy is used as an element to create a solid barrier between the MC's artificial intelligence and the other characters in the form of the System. This is only a half-measure, though, and will be reinforced by the AI having an entirely different method of thinking, and also distinctly remaining an AI. Not to throw shade at other fictions of this type, but, well, I made this to fill a gap I felt needed filling.
