Celestial Peak Chapter 264

Stalking is not a simple task to stalk someone properly, one's existence must be erased in order to hide one's presence. The stronger the person you are hiding from the better your hiding skill must be.
Wang Ling was not as famed in terms of killing from the shadows, but he did manage to kill the Elven Tyrant of the Revolutionary Army of the past by hiding in the Shadow for three months in order for him to find the right chance to kill him in a single strike.
This is one of his most famous feats and the reason why it took that long was that the opponent at that time was a Celestial King and he was ninth-level Dominion Realm cultivator. It was long and boring, but Wang Ling managed to keep his silence and surprise a Celestial King by surprise when he was only eighty-seven years old.
Bai Xue was also well-known for her ability to stay hidden. She was the kind of person who lives in the shadows in order for her to survive. For someone as weak as the previous self, wandering the woods riddled with beings stronger than herself, it was suicide if she did not know how to hide.
That being said, Wang Ling and Bai Xue managed to stalk Qin Ao without making him notice anything. For the past two days, Qin Ao had been visiting a lot of places and finally, after two days, it was damn time that he will leave.
He was leaving through the Western Gate. He was headed for the Holy Domain where his family was based. Qin Ao left with all his escorts and before he could even step out of the Western Gates, Wang Ling and the rest already left to begin the operation.
=====
Qin Ao was traversing the [Wilted Yin Forest] when Qin Po, his strongest escort decided that it was time for them to camp out. They were riding in a carriage pulled by two half-step Celestial Stage Beasts.

"We shall camp here. Three of you, scout and secure the perimeter, there might be beasts lurking in the shadows. Return at once after doing so." Qin Po ordered and three Dominion level cultivators left with a nod.
Qin Ao got out of the carriage and immediately, Qin Po was alarmed, "Young Master, please return inside, it is unconfirmed if there are dangers in this place. Please, go back inside the carriage."
He was worried over the safety of his Young Master but Qin Ao just laughed as he said, "I trust your strength, Qin Po, you have been looking after me for the longest time and I should know of your capabilities. In this Forest, is there even a beast that can make a scratch to your Golden Body Art?"
Qin Po's white face reddened as he smiled, "Thank you for trusting this lowly servant of yours, Young Master." Qin Po thanked Qin Ao as he kneeled on one knee.
In the woods where the three lower-leveled escorts went to was scouting the area in full alertness. But as they stepped a hundred meters away from their camp, a white black shadow appeared and without making any sound, came from behind one of the three scouts and with a single motion of a dagger slit their throat and a hand covered their mouth to keep them from making a sound.
The blood that was supposed to fly out like a fountain was contained by having Bai Xue control the flow of blood. The remaining scout barely managed to notice anything wrong and only after a few seconds of silence did he turned around.
But when he did, everything was too late and a hand grabbed his hands from the mouth. His eyes widened from the fright he felt. The hand that restraining his hands was held by Qihai, a Celestial King making him unable to move.
The scout was frozen stiff and he wanted to scream, but he couldn't because of fear and with his mouth blocked, he really couldn't do anything and just like the other two, he was killed with efficiency and stealth.

Bai Xue collected the blood and devoured it shortly after. Her devour rate was too fast that three people's worth is nothing but a light snack. She exchanged looks with Qihai and nodded her head.
"Let us move." She whispered and disappeared into the night, with them was the corpse of the three they have killed. They carried the corpses of the people they managed to assassinate and as they neared the place of camp Qin Ao was in, Bai Xue and Qihai threw the body into the air before… making it explode.
Boom!
A loud explosion happened and as a rain of mangled flesh fell from the sky, Qin Po reacted quite nicely and protected Qin Ao. He was by Qin Ao's side making Qin Ao the safest person around.
"What happened? Shit, it is dangerous, Young Master, get to the carriage!" He shouted out loud, but as the beasts was just about to get to in position, Qihai's shadow flashed and with one swift motion assassinated two beasts at half-step Celestial Stage.
The path of retreat had been sealed off, the beasts had been sealed and at this moment a voice echoed, "Move!"
It was a loud and piercing voice. It was full of power and as soon as it was uttered, chaos unfolded as a dozen of Assassins came out from out of nowhere, startling the escorts of Qin Ao.
Qin Po saw this and was just about to turn around and get Qin Ao out of there, but before he could even do so, Qihai's shadow once again flashed just beside Qin Po. Qihai aimed for Qin Ao's neck and as the dagger he held was just about to hit Qin Ao's neck and separate his head from his body, Qin Po reacted swift enough to take the hit with his right hand and then grab Qihai by the face with his left hand.
"You dare try and harm the Young Master!?" Qin Po moved and was just about to throw Qihai away from Qin Ao when Qihai suddenly stood his ground and threw Qin Po to the air.
Qin Po flew to the air and a kick shortly followed. The kick of Qihai was blocked, but it had enough strength to send the powerful Qin Po flying.
Qin Ao was left alone and he immediately began to feel agitated. Everything happened too fast, the assassins were too much for his escorts.
He began to panic but as he did, a figure appeared before him. He was wearing a Dragon Mask and on his hand was a Grade-3 unnamed sword Artifact. He was a fourth-level Dominion Realm assassin and with one single motion, the assassin kicked the ground and attempted to separate Qin Ao's head from his body.
Qin Ao barely managed to dodge the assault. And at this moment, he knew he was going to die. He needed a way to survive, he can't survive this one without relying on it so without much hesitation, Qin Ao put his hands together and gathered his qi.
Three seconds passed and the assassin seemed to be observing his actions, Qin Ao saw this and he laughed, "Are you scared? Witness my full prowess!"
A golden pill formed and he immediately swallowed this pill and 'Qin Ao' laughed aloud after seeing this, "Hahaha, it had been a while since I got to control this body while it is still at its peak. Are you my enemy? I'll fuc…"
His words was not completed as the assassin made his move and delivered a devastating punch to 'Qin Ao's' face.
The assassin then spoke for the first time, "Finally, you're out. Baiting you out off Qin Ao was somewhat troublesome."

Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal
