Celestial Peak Chapter 388

Looking at the crying woman, Wang Ling was passive. He did not show any hate at her for what she had done, he was simply, silent.
This woman rushed into this room carrying a sword, she aimed for Leo, but Wang Ling got in between. He could have stopped her sword, avoid any bloodshed, but instead, he softened his body and simply allowed her to wave the sword.
Blood was drawn, the woman collapsed in horror upon realizing what she was doing and Wang Ling now bled without care. He looked at her and even asked if she was happy with what she had just done.
"MASTER!" Leo and Jiru were quick on their feet, wanting to assist Wang Ling, but both of them were stopped.
"Do not move, I am having a conversation with a grieving mother." Wang Ling looked straight in the eyes of the woman, at his question. His eyes held no resentment which freaked out the mother.
"Grandmaster Wang, please, let us talk thi—" Dratia felt the tense air and wished to flip the situation but was stopped as Wang Ling gave him a side glance.
The air became heavier, "Did I not just said I am talking to this grieving mother?"
Wang Ling waited, and waited, he was bleeding but everyone felt threatened by him. When the woman finally stopped her tears, she looked at Wang Ling and nodded.
Wang Ling smiled, "That's good, then everyone can listen to me now… with this, I now carry the mark of Lucius Vyasa's sins do you agree?"
The mother shook her head against what everyone thought. Dratia who had been relegated to a mere background character asked her, "Why?"
"My son is dead because of that bastard! Do you really think this is enough retribution that bastard needs to die like his broth—"
SLASH! Wang Ling picked up the fallen sword nearby and didn't hesitate to execute a slash, "You have an insolent, tongue, don't you?"
A part of the waiting room was cut and fell, Wang Ling's rage bursts out of his body at the sight of this woman as to why he was so pissed, no one really knows. But if they could guess, it must be because Dalia Lopus, the Madam of the Lopus Family ignored Wang Ling's request.
But Dratia could feel, it, no everyone could feel it, the massive power emanating from Wang Ling made the weak incapable of breathing. Some fell on the ground, limped and unconscious.
Quickly, Irta and Ylsa came running in, they got on the floor, "We beg of you, please spare her."
Ylsa swallowed her saliva, she was quivering before raising her head to try and diffuse the situation, "She was the one who loved Seran the most, Mother pampered him and protected him, it is not easy for her to forgive the family of those who killed her son. Quite frankly, I too, as Seran's older sister find it hard to forgive the young man behind you despite him not having to do with anything… Sera… he was a kind brother he didn't deserve to—"

Laughter echoed in the room; all raised their head to see Wang Ling cackling away without a care for the situation, "Do you really think that's the reason why I'm angered? Do you think I can't understand the grief of a mother? I understand her very well, but that's not why I was angered."
"What do you mean?" Ylsa drew blank on what Wang Ling was talking about.
"How ludicrous, this is why I can't deal with people with presumptuous people." Colt's laughter ended, his eyes turned sharp as he continued his words, "You say that Seran brat's death was undeserving? You have got to be kidding me, that kid reaped what he had sown."
Clang!
"I know you're strong Grandmaster Wang, but you have disrespected my family long enough!" Dratia was the one who made the move. He sent out a palm attack and Wang Ling deflected it.
Dratia was standing a couple of steps from Wang Ling, his eyes glaring at him with hate. Other than the fact that Seran was his child, that boy was also the golden child of this family, he was talented and they poured their resources into him.
"I don't care what kind of Grandmaster you are; you have disrespected my house, my dead son, and our very pride… do you really think I'll just stand aside and take it all in?"
Dratia's cultivation was above Qi Cloaking Realm, and Wang Ling was a mere Qi Reinforcement Realm cultivation. Wang Ling knew he wouldn't be able to kill Dratia who's as strong as the Seventh Elder in terms of cultivation.
[He's careful of me, he's not arrogant like the other guy, seems like I need to even out the playing ground.]
Wang Ling thought to himself and stabbed his heart with his thumb and all of a sudden, the True Devil Qi he had been suppressing surged all over his body.
Blood flowed more and more out of his wounds as a rampage in his meridians surfaced but as single circulation was finished, Wang Ling stopped the flow once more.
Blood flowed out of his mouth, the pain was enhanced but in return, every pore in Wang Ling's body was all forcefully opened.
In a matter of second, he reached Qi Cloaking Realm. Wang Ling coated his body with Holy Qi and reinforced his internal organs and after stopping the bleeding, he was ready to fight.
Or so it would seem.
[I can't hold on for too long, dammit, why is he hesitating!?]
He had lost too much blood, and right now, he's waiting for something to happen. For someone to intervene and seeing that no one wanted to do so, Wang Ling activated his bloodline and three of haloes that sucked up the qi of the surrounding appeared right behind his head.
Wang Ling's strength continued to heal and surge in power and as he added his Sword Qi in the mix, a monster was born right in front of the Lopus Family.
A fragile monster took its step, he wanted someone to take a step forward and when no one stood to challenge his earlier words, Wang Ling made the decision, "Seems like I'm going to start a Massacre."

The aura of slaughter momentarily stifled everyone and Wang Ling used this opening to take the initiative. He swung his blade aimed at the strongest of the group, at Dratia's neck!
When Dratia saw this all was too late, "Die now."
"Wait! Please I beg of you, Mercy!" someone from the silent crowd begged.
Wang Ling stopped, blood dripped from the small cut on Dratia's neck, "Why are you stopping me of all people? If I don't do this, they'll kill you, you know? Answer me, Leo."
Out of all the people who begged for him to stop, it was Leo the boy implicated by all of this. Wang Ling looked around, he exchanged a gaze with Dratia whose face had turned white, and asked Leo, "Leo, did you know how Lucius was led to killing Seran? Why someone as kind as that boy who only wanted to revive his Family from the brink of destruction took another person's life?"
All the while Wang Ling was waiting for an answer, Dratia tried to move, Wang Ling just whispered to him. When Dratia heard Wang Ling's words, his eyes widened, and felt conflicted.
No one said anything and Wang Ling just continued, "That Lucius suffered at the hands of Seran, his bones were broken, spat on, and threatened to kill you when your brother glared back."
"YOU'RE LYING! MY SERAN WILL NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!" Dalia shouted in disbelief, "Seran was kind, he considered everyone around him and would never do something like that!"
"And this is the reason I told all of you to be presumptuous and insolent. You call Lucius a bastard when you didn't even know what happened. But I know that you wouldn't believe me because you hold onto the idea that your son is someone who is kind and loving.
"Family Head, surely you sent someone to follow Seran to observe his actions, tell me, are my words true or false?" Wang Ling had the sword dig deeper into Dratia's neck.
"I—it's true…"
"Wha-what do you mean? That's impossible Seran would never." Dalia didn't want to believe him.
"Dalia, listen to me closely, I have had received reports of Seran's misdeeds since he was but ten years of age. He had caused trouble, hurt many, including the children and women claiming how everyone was beneath him."
"HAhahaha!" Wang Ling laughed at his confession and then picked him up by the neck, "You hear that? Now, do you think you have the right to hate Leo? His brother suffered for years, gritting his teeth and not doing anything and simply honed his skills. Seran died from the fist of the man he trampled upon.
"I can still remember what Lucius said to me, what your virtuous son said to him everything Lucius meets Seran's eyes, "Those with strength stand above all, those with status are revered, and those with talent are envied — You have none of those, so grovel before me." He claims others to be inferior to him, he told them to grovel. Leo! Answer me, why should I not kill them for their crime? Why should I not massacre their lineage to get revenge for the injustice your brother suffered!? Lucius was used and died because of Seran, he was used because of the rage that piled up, your brother died because of their son! Killing them is justified, now, tell me, why should I not kill them!? TELL ME!?"
Wang Ling's roar could be heard traveling all over the manor, Dalia was relegated to limp on the ground, and Irta and Ylsa were too scared to move. Dratia was already in his hands, the massacre could happen at any time.
However, Leo simply grabbed on the arm holding up Dratia, tears were streaming down his face, "Please… Master… that's enough, please don't kill anyone… it's true that brother killed their son... and it is true that brother died because of him… and that's enough. You asked me why I should stop you… my answer would be because I don't hold anything against them. I can understand them, and if I hate them because my brother died because of Seran, then they are more than qualified to hate me back, so to end this…"
Leo knelt down and bowed before Dalia. Placing his forehead on the ground, Leo continued his words, "Please, forgive my family… let us end this meaningless conflict."
Dalia saw the brother of her son's murderer, she should hate him, she should loath him as much as the other but, seeing how genuine his words were the only thing that flowed out of her mouth was, "I'm sorry, boy…"
Tears escaped from her eyes, and held Leo up from the ground, she hugged him and cried without uttering another word. Leo and Dalia held onto each other, the two who should be enemies stopped their fight.
Wang Ling put down Dratia, and as he watched the two who were most affected by the incident the Star Seeking Sect created, he smiled.
[With this, the hatred of both families should dissipate.] Wang Ling then turned to Dratia and slightly nodded his head, and under his breath, he said, "Thank you for cooperating."
Dratia looked at Wang Ling and remembered the words that were said to him, 'Don't fight, I will be forced to kill you… what I'm about to speak of is the truth without a hint of a lie if you want to achieve true peace between us, then your response will determine the future of your Family… choose wisely.'
Dratia looked at Wang Ling with bewildered eyes, [For him to read the situation that far… just who is he?]
The Blood Feud of the two families has to an end.

I do it mainly because I enjoy it, I always love writing stories and sometimes I will post it like I will with this one. My grammar could be better and my writing skills are so and so. I hope that by continuing to write I will grow as a writter so I would really appreciate it if you could point out my mistakes so that I can learn from them. This story will be pretty laid back as I suck at action, but that doesn't mean I won't try to add any. Release schedule is 2-4 chapters a month with each chapter about 1000 words give or take.
