Celestial Peak Chapter 551

"I knew you'd protect her." The Origin General with a lower tone than Wang Ling's but, the overall sound was similar. Down to the voice, he was copied and as the Origin General literally spent decades with Wang Ling, it was not simply his physical form that was unearthed, "You were smart but had always been softer than you seemed, Wang Ling."
A moment was all it took for Wang Ling to lose an arm. From the elbow, his arm was sliced with a white sword. The Origin General reached out to Wang Ling's severed arm, attempting to take it and in that moment, Wang Ling decided that something was wrong.
Quickly, he used his stump and punched the other end of the severed arm and reattached the two. His quick regeneration quickly mended him anew, and as he allowed the momentum to carry him, Wang Ling hooked the Origin General with his legs and dragged him out of the Abyssal Rift.
The Origin General moved his right hand and kept the white sword in the Abyss. Claws replaced his fingernails and with glowing purple light, he dug out Wang Ling's thigh for his flesh and blood… or so was his intention.
But the layered muscle fibers formed from God's Mark stopped his advance. Not even a single drop of blood appeared. The Origin General's brows creased as he was sent hundreds of kilometers away from the Portal of the Deity Paradise.
"Calm on the outside, but impatient to make his move. Afraid that his enemy will get on his groove, afraid that his enemy can use their full strength and then be surrounded and overpowered… because of that, you have a habit of going all-out and aiming for the vitals."
The Origin General spoke as he landed on his two feet and then extended his hand to the right, catching an already disintegrating Crimson Blade, losing its blaze, "See, you were aiming for my neck. After a hundred variation, you are no longer interesting for me to see, Wang Ling and as I have all your techniques, even the Weeping Blood… you're too predictable for me."

"Predictable you say?" Wang Ling smiled at the Origin General, "I know—"
When those words were uttered, the sword used exploded to hundreds of sword fragments. The Crimson Flames changed to black, white, and gray as it swirled around the Origin General, "—but that also means you don't hold a candle against me now… I'm not who I used to be, you bastard."
Wang Ling clenched his fist, and from all sides the sword fragments. The dark space was illuminated not only by the Cosmic Roa but also his flames. Stepping back for a little, Wang Ling saw from beyond the flames walk out a disfigured Origin General.
Mangled beyond belief, his flesh already deconstructing, "How convenient. You matured well since the last time I saw you."
The Origin General sustained a lot of damage, but at the next moment, as he began laughing, his body reformed too before. He was damaged, but, death never dies, "You can't kill me, Wang Ling. I am the personification of True Chaos and Death, I can never die, and only grows stronger the more people fight.
"I already know your plans, by now you should have already known that the only way to kill me is to either absorb me or take my life into your ow—"
"I know what you're doing, Origin General. Stop planting ideas in my mind." Wang Ling smirked, "That's my game as well, do you think that's going to work on me?"
"Aren't you even remotely interested in where I came from before coming here? I'm pretty sure you can sense the disappearance of the bearer of the Heaven and Hell Qis while you were in that little Deity Fortress of yours." The Origin General smirked.
Wang Ling was confident as he rejected the Origin General's offer. He knew all too well the risk of letting the bastard into his system, he already died once because of doing such a thing, "I know your game, planting memories, erasing memories, manipulating others' thoughts and using that against them. I experienced that first hand… I'm not falling for that again."

Wang Ling stood in the middle of space contemplating over his next move. He had little to no more weapon, and the last one he just used to be something he kept with him just in case and it was destroyed with a single swing.
The power of the All-Father allowed Wang Ling full control of things, but because of his lacking control, it was put to a bare minimum. Before him was the source of all suffering that must be eradicated in the name of peace. Wang Ling did not expect him to actually appear before him without any warnings.
He thought that it would be in the middle of the last war that he would meet the Origin General, but no, it was the opposite. He appeared when no one was around, when it was only the two of them were present, the complete and exact opposite… it was suspicious.
[He's an amalgamation of myself and an ancient figure… he's not someone to be trifled with. For eons he plotted and for the past 17,000 years he had been in control of things. His power and attribute are unknown to me, but he knows me more than I know myself… and everyone expects me to outsmart him and erase him from the face of the Universe.] Wang Ling couldn't get a read on the Origin General.
"Sigh, you really are one-tracked mind, aren't you, Wang Ling? Anyway, I already got what I came for, if you're wandering, I was only here to check up on you. I'll be going now, old friend."
"What makes you think I'm going to let you go?" Wang Ling's killing intent surged and his body turned to that of a sword.
"I know you're going to let me go, that does not look good, after all."
When Wang Ling turned around, he found heaps of Revenants and Abyssal Demons invading the Deity Paradise from the tear the Origin General exited from through the stable portal he himself created.
Wang Ling was conflicted but as his wings appeared from his back and the Origin General surfaced to back stab him, Wang Ling quickly returned to the Deity Paradise in order to protect its inhabitants.
Fwu!
He flapped his wings and disappeared into the Deity Paradise, closing the Portal on his way back, leaving the Origin General with a glowing sword, stained with blue marks, "I only grazed him with the final swing, that's a shame. But this should also be enough of a test run."
The Origin General swung his arm and opened an Abyssal Tear as he hummed, "The Primordial Essence works like a charm. And with the blood, I should be able to restart the Homunculus Plan without a problem."
Just before the Origin General disappears into the Abyss, he turned around into the now empty space, "I'll free you soon."
The Origin General won without Wang Ling even knowing.

Good Guy Necromancer
Necromancers are murderous, repulsive, utterly ungodly creatures. And then there's Jerry. Jerry is a novice necromancer who treats his undead warmly, seeks to befriend people instead of harvest their bodies, and doesn't mind cracking a skull or two when needed. He genuinely is a good guy—too bad nobody believes him. Jerry tries to settle down, wanting nothing but a peaceful life for him and his undead—and, when that doesn't quite work out, he sets out to adventure. He will make friends, each unique in their own way, and together, they will travel through a variety of striking environments; from a tiny village, to the land of the dead, to a jolly archipelago, to a kingdom on a beanstalk. To save a world that shuns him, Jerry must stand against a large organization of arrogant, mighty wizards. He strives to become stronger while maintaining his kindness, only to realize that, maybe, gentle hearts make the greatest necromancers. This is the story of a delightful man in a harsh world—full of warmth, action, and wise-cracking bone puns. Chapters are usually 2-3k words, and updates are 3/week: Mon, Wed, Fri. Planet-Eater Reincarnation (in Star Wars)
He wakes up without being able to see, taste or hear. Or even smell! But, after developing an eye for himself, he's able to recognize two facts: one, he is no longer human, and two, he's not on Earth anymore. He's in the middle of an asteroid field, stuck on a moderately large one with nothing around him but endless space. Heck, he's not even in the solar system! And now it's up to him to grow larger and stronger in order to avoid being eaten. Going by the leviathan-sized creatures swimming about the asteroid field, he has a long way to go before he can so much as try to live calmly. ---- Don't let the fanfiction tag scare you off. This only barely takes place in that universe since I like the basics of the lore and nothing more. It will barely feature a single prominent character, and the focus will mostly just be on the main character trying to grow himself out of danger, in the meantime denying the very idea that he could possibly be lonely. The first few dozen chapters will entirely focus on him growing from almost a gnat all the way to a real asteroid-eater. After that, an actual story will appear. Got the idea when I was reading the 2017 Darth Vader comic and my mind suddenly flashed back to that scene in the original trilogy when they're in some asteroid field and almost get eaten by a big monster. I loved that scene, and my inhibitions will no longer chain me. Enjoy, but don't take this too seriously.
