《Glory e-sports》Chapter 80: Can you let me do one thing?
He had plucked up the courage to confess, but no one believed him?
He could ignore the fact that Brother Vegetable didn’t believe him, but even the captain didn’t believe him either?
Bai Cai finally saw Wei Xiao’s wet hair clearly and said, “You didn’t even blowdry your hair. What did you run out here for? Do you still want to play in the competition on the last day?”
Wei Xiao: “……”
Wei Xiao, who was so angry that his liver hurt, stared at him, “Go and eat your food!”
Brother Cai was too lazy to deal with him, “Be careful, or you’ll really delay things if you catch a cold.”
Lu Feng recalled how he’d caught a cold when playing in the water and coaxed him to go inside, “Back to the room.”
The captain pushed lightly against the back of his waist. Wei Xiao’s waist felt numb and tingly, and he didn’t dare to chatter on, slipping back inside the room.
Why was he so miserable?
His confession had been ignored.
He’d just been told to go back to the room and blow dry his hair.
To hell with blow drying! He wanted to shave his head and become a monk!
Wei Xiao started to blow dry his hair messily, and his brain calmed down a bit.
Steady.
This wasn’t something that could be rushed.
Although Wei Xiao wanted to chop up some white cabbage, when he thought about it from another angle, Brother Vegetable might have actually saved his life.
The consequences of an impulsive confession were disastrous.
Not only might it make the captain dislike him, it could also shake the team.
The new FTW hadn’t even played in any proper competitions yet. How could it start to fall apart now?
Things had to develop steadily, he couldn’t be reckless!
Wei Xiao took a deep breath and calmed his heart down.
He had to continue and explore the situation tentatively, observe carefully, and try to figure out the captain’s sexual orientation and whether or not he was interested in him.
What if the captain liked him, too?
Bang!
There was an explosion of fireworks in Wei Xiaoxiao’s head, knocking him dizzy in advance.
After drying his hair, Lu Feng noticed that his cheeks were a little red, “I’ll get you a bowl of ginger tea.”
This kid’s physique was really no good. Last time it was playing in the water, this time, it was standing in the wind; it was too easy for him to catch colds.
Wei Xiao really disliked these kinds of spicy and astringent tasting things, and quickly said, “No need, I didn’t catch a cold!”
Lu Feng was insistent, “The prize pool competition is the day after tomorrow, you…”
Wei Xiao didn’t finish for him to finish speaking. He pushed him into the bathroom, “Go shower. I’m just red from the hot water. I guarantee that it’ll be fine after you come out.”
Lu Feng: “……” He was covered in sweat and really did want to take a bath.
“Call room service directly.” Lu Feng ordered him.
Wei Xiao nodded, “Okay, okay, okay!”
After basically pushing the captain into the bathroom, Wei Xiao exhaled softly and patted his feverish face.
To hell with catching a cold; he was too hot, and his brain was full of fire, the kind that could only be eased with a confession.
Ahhhhh.
But he couldn’t confess his feelings!
Oh, nobody would believe him even when he confessed.
Wei Xiao splayed out on the bed like a salted fish with big dreams.

Lu Feng was worried about him. He soon finished showering and came outside, wiping his hair as he looked at Wei Xiao.
The flush on Wei Xiao’s face had faded away, and his skin was back to its usual pale luster.
“Did you order ginger tea?”
Wei Xiao flopped up like a carp, “I’m okay, I’m really okay. If you don’t believe me you can feel my forehead.”
He smoothed his hair back from his face to reveal his smooth forehead.
Lu Feng: “…….”
Wei Xiao, who only realized what he’d done after he’d done it, “……”
F*ck, he wasn’t trying to seduce the captain, he really wasn’t!
Lu Feng quickly reached out and touched his forehead, “Well, if you’re fine, then it’s okay.”
Wei Xiao somehow managed to answer, “It’s really nothing.”
The two of them fell quiet for a second or two.
Lu Feng suddenly asked, “Why did you suddenly think about saying that you like me?”
While taking a shower, Captain Lu had also calmed down and thought about it for a while.
Wei Xiaoxiao talked a lot and dared to say anything. He often used the word ‘like’, the sound of it scratching at Lu Feng’s ears from time to time.
Lu Feng hadn’t gotten used to it even after listening to it so many times.
––He probably wouldn’t get used to it in this lifetime.
They’d run into Bai Cai just now, and he hadn’t thought much about it, but when he took a shower, he suddenly felt that this ‘like’ wasn’t the same as usual.
Nothing had come before it, and there had been no request, but Wei Xiao had rushed out with such a sentence.
It was too much like a confession.
Lu Feng’s heart thudded. He felt that he was overthinking it.
However, he couldn’t resist and still asked the question.
After asking, he didn’t quite dare to look at Wei Xiao.
Wei Xiao was even less willing to look at him.
What to do…
Develop conservatively?
Stay steady? Don’t go wild?
F*ck!
To hell with developing, to hell with steady, going wild was king!
Wei Xiao’s psychological development was like a tofu dregs project and disintegrated instantly under pressure, “I just said it because I wanted to.”
Lu Feng: “!”
Wei Xiao was upright and bold, “I like you. I thought about it, so I said it. Can’t I?”
He looked at Lu Feng directly and didn’t conceal his eagerness.
Lu Feng stared at him. After looking at him for half a second, he answered in a warm voice, “Mm.”
Wei Xiao: “???”
What did that mean!
Wei Xiao stressed it again, “Captain, I really like you, I just want…” He couldn’t say that he wanted to get married, and there wasn’t anything else he could say. Oh, yeah, “To share household registers with you!” This was obvious enough, right? The captain should understand him completely. If he said another ‘Mm’, then he would propose on the spot!
Gutsy Wei was going for it!
Lu Feng froze briefly, then smiled and laughed, “Enough.”
Wei Xiao held his breath: What did ‘enough’ mean, it didn’t seem to be going the way he thought it would.
Lu Feng rubbed his messy black hair and said, “I’m only two years older than you. I can’t be your father.”
Wei Xiao: “………………………………………………”
Lu Feng was really scared of his heartfelt words. He got up and said, “Go down and have breakfast before going back to sleep. I still have some work to do and will be going to the conference room first.”

It wasn’t until the door closed that the petrified Wei Xiao started to thaw.
Sharing a household register wasn’t just for lovers, but also for fathers?
I want to marry you, but you’re treating me as a son?
Even though Brother Xiao was a very determined person, he had shriveled up and was out of energy again.
It was so difficult!
Confessing was so much harder than playing games!
Wei Xiao wanted to turn to Weibo for help.
Q: I confessed to my secret love, but he treated me as a son. What should I do?
He didn’t need to send it. Wei Xiao could already see what the answers would be.
Father-son love?
Man, you guys are playing a big game.
God Xiao, who’d been a daddy to countless people in the game, had finally ended up meeting his match with a ‘father’.
Wei Xiao thought hard all day long and finally came up with an absolutely effective move.
It was better to do than to say.
As long as he went up and kissed him, he could guarantee that the captain would understand everything.
But…
What if the captain was straight?
It wasn’t a big deal if he was beaten to death with a slap, but it would be a big problem if he was driven out of FTW and lost his home!
What’s more, Wei Xiao felt that the likelihood that the captain was a straight man was about 300%.
How could anyone who was even a little crooked withstand his mouth full of coquettish talk?
There was no need to mention his three likes a day, he seemed to have said he’d married into FTW.
With this and that, how could the captain bear it?
Wei Xiao’s love-focused brain was half dead already.
––The captain was a straight man, he had no interest in him and treated him like a son.
The 19 year old youth had not only failed to confess, he’d ended up lovelorn before he was happy.
This was a big blow.
During the heated and lively training competition and the bitter and amusing ‘individual thoughts’, Wei Xiao ushered in the final event of the training competition, the prize pool competition.
On the last night, there was no points competition. Instead, there were points screening, team elimination, and drawing lots.
There were 12 teams who met the standards.
The total prize pool was over 7 million. In order to increase the impact, the investor daddies added fuel to the fire and rounded it up to 10 million.
After 15 days of training, the final champion could win 10 million in prize money. This winter training competition was full of the scent of gunpowder, and it could be predicted that it would also be a very hot topic during the next few years.
Not only could the players train, they would also gain global exposure and win prize money. It wasn’t much worse than playing in the official competition!
They had to select seed teams according to their scores before lots were drawn.
The first and second ranked teams, L&P and Pro, were considered first tier teams and would not draw each other as opponents in the first round.
As the second tier, 3U and FTW were also separated from each other.
The remaining eight teams were free to be matched up at will.
This maintained a level of relative fairness. Otherwise, if strong teams drew other strong teams, it would be a pity if one of them was forced to be eliminated right at the start.
Tomorrow was the BO1 (only one game) elimination match.
The 12 teams were divided into six groups who fought in pairs. The winner was promoted, and the loser was eliminated.
The winner would take all of the losing team’s prize pool money and enter the second round.
The second round would be six teams fighting for the top three. Again, the winner would be promoted, and the loser would be eliminated.
In the end, the last three teams would make it to the semi-finals.
Because only 12 teams met the points standard, it was inevitable that only three teams would be left after the 12 into 6, and 6 into 3 rounds.
However, there was no difference between second and third place, so the competition committee directly arranged a draw for the match ups.
Between the three teams, those who managed to draw opponents would fight: The loser would be eliminated, and the winner would continue to play against the last team and fight for the final championship.
The entire competition schedule was crammed into one day. Although it was only BO1, it was still very tiring to play so many games all in one go.
Besides, 10 million wasn’t a small amount. Who wouldn’t want to win such a huge bonus!
Because there were no training matches, the teams all returned to their training rooms early.
Chen Feng was building up their momentum prior to the competition, “… Our rule is, we’ll divide the prize equally if we win.”
Brother Cai’s small eyes lit up, brighter than incandescent lamps!
Ten million. Divided up between five people meant it was two million each.
F*ck!
Brother Cai was full of fighting spirit, “Fellow brothers, let’s fight!”
This was Little Ning’s first serious competition after joining the team. He was a little nervous, “Let’s, let’s fight!”
Old Yue was calmer, “Oh.”
Wei Xiao tossed a sentence at him, “If you win two million, you can buy 400,000 bags of potato chips.”
Yue Wenle was dazed, then instantly came to attention, “Let’s do it!”
Chen Feng: “……”
In the future, it would be better to leave the matter of building up momentum to Little Lunatic Wei. One Little Lunatic Wei was more effective than 10 of him.
For the sake of tomorrow’s game, everyone stayed sharp that night and went back to their rooms to rest early that night.
Wei Xiao was very good at encouraging others, but his own heart was full of other things.
The more they interacted, the more he felt that the captain was good.
The more he felt that the captain was good, the more he couldn’t restrain himself.
Wei Xiao was able to hold on for so many days, but this was already his limit.
If it wasn’t out of fear that the captain wouldn’t want him, he would’ve used practical actions to confess long ago.
Ah…
Wei Xiao was scared of being kicked out from his home.
He was naturally unable to hide his current appearance from Lu Feng.
Lu Feng waited until everyone else had left and accompanied him in the training room, “Solo?”
Wei Xiao’s spirits instantly came back up, “Okay!”
The two of them started a game. Once they started, Wei Xiao no longer remembered those messy things and was only focused on positioning, maneuvering, and winning.
Lu Feng didn’t show any mercy at all. He pressed him down onto the ground and cleaned the floor with him, not giving him any opportunity to fight back.
Wei Xiao became more heated the more he was beat up, and the more heated he became, the more he was unable to control the blind jumping of his heart.
In the past 17 years, he’d been wholeheartedly focused on his grandmother, just wanting to take good care of her, repay her for her care, and let her enjoy happiness and live well.
After his grandma left, he was aimless with no support, for two years. All the way until he met Lu Feng.
He appreciated him, liked him, and had relied on him.
He was even more afraid of losing him.
All of Wei Xiao’s fear and nervousness originated with Lu Feng.
Because Lu Feng was too important to him, to the point where he was all tied up.
Lu Feng saw that he wasn’t in the right mindset and set down the mouse to look at him, “What’s the matter?”
Would this little lunatic even be worried about tomorrow’s game?
Wei Xiao turned to look at him, “Captain…” This voice was full of grievances.
Lu Feng couldn’t stand it when he was like this. He asked, “Is something on your mind?”
Wei Xiao: “……”
Lu Feng took a breath, “Tell me about it?”
How could he say it?
Say I like you, love you, want to spend a lifetime with you?
Would you believe me if I said it!
Oh, you believe it, but the direction you believe in is wrong!
Wei Xiao leaned against the chair and sighed heavily, “Captain…”
When he called him like this, it made Lu Feng’s heart itch, and his voice became increasingly warm, “Say it.”
It was just two words, but it seemed that he was promising him whatever he wanted.
Ahhhh, why was the captain so good?!
So good that he just wanted to do some indecent things to him.
Wei Xiao wasn’t the type to be tangled up over things. He might be afraid, but he would never back down.
His intentions were already here, and he couldn’t just hide it.
Dying early and dying later both involved dying.
He didn’t want to be a shrinking turtle!
The brave and resourceful Wei Xiaoxiao turned his head and fixed his gaze on Lu Feng.
Lu Feng was also looking at him.
Wei Xiao took a deep breath and said seriously, “Tomorrow’s championship prize pool is 10 million.”
Lu Feng was a little surprised. Was Wei Xiao really worried about tomorrow’s game?
“Yes.”
Wei Xiao stared at him, “If FTW wins, I’ll get two million.”
It was funny. They went back and forth, and it was always this number.
Lu Feng nodded, “That’s right.”
Wei Xiao spoke out the idea that was in his heart, “I don’t want this two million.”
Lu Feng was caught by surprise.
Wei Xiao continued, “I don’t want this two million, but can you let me do one thing?”
Lu Feng immediately replied, “The bonus is yours…”
Wei Xiao spoke stubbornly, “No. I won’t take this two million, but in return, please don’t get angry, don’t drive me away, and it would be best if you don’t hate me.”
This unruly youth lowered his tone as he spoke, looking somewhat pitiful.
Lu Feng frowned briefly, “What do you want to do?”
Wei Xiao naturally wouldn’t say it now. He stood up and asked, “Can you promise me?”
Lu Feng looked up at him, his eyes dark and deep, “You want to leave FTW?”
Wei Xiao immediately replied, “How could that be?”
Lu Feng’s expression didn’t change as he stared straight at him.
Wei Xiao’s heart was seizing from his gaze. He spoke in a small voice, “I already said that you can’t drive me out when the time comes. How could I leave FTW?”
Lu Feng’s eyebrows relaxed. He realized that he’d missed out on some of his words.
What did Wei Xiao want to do? Something that he would be angry about. What was it?
Lu Feng could only think that he wanted to leave FTW.
Other than this, what else could make him angry?
Wei Xiao could see that the captain had misunderstood. He quickly softened his voice, “As long as you don’t dislike me and don’t drive me away, I’ll never leave FTW.”
Lu Feng frowned again, “How could I dislike you.”
Wei Xiao’s heart was sweet, “On the chance that I do something that makes you hate me.”
Lu Feng: “…….”
He couldn’t say it.
The fact that he wouldn’t hate Wei Xiao no matter what he did was something he couldn’t tell him.
Wei Xiao had made up his mind, “In short, I don’t want this two million yuan, and in return, you let me do this one thing!”
Afraid that Lu Feng would overthink it, he put limits on it, “Don’t worry, it’s not against the law, and the only risk is that you may get very angry.”
Lu Feng was really curious, “What exactly are you going to do?”
Wei Xiao’s line of sight darted swiftly over his lips. His heart felt really hot, “I can’t say it now.”
Lu Feng’s thin lips shifted slightly.
“Captain.” Wei Xiao simply switched to trickery, “Promise me, okay!”
Lu Feng: “…… Alright.”
Wei Xiao relaxed, then looked at him, “You definitely can’t get angry when the time comes.”
Lu Feng: “Yes.”
Wei Xiao: “Well, you can get angry, but you can’t drive me away.”
Lu Feng: “Impossible.”
This heart of Wei Xiao’s was really going through ups and downs, “Promise?”
Lu Feng: “Promise.”
Although he didn’t know what Wei Xiao wanted to do, Lu Feng would let him do it, and he would also give him the full bonus.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Jonathan was living the life of a normal human male in modern-day society, until he was rudely awakened one night by a summoning circle that ripped him out of his reality and dumped him into a new world filled with magic, demons, and…mouthy young orphan girls?! Now Jonathan must navigate the trials of playing guardian to a preteen, learning to unlock his inner demon, and somehow managing to find a dang pair of pants! Welcome! I'm E.O. Tenkey; thank you for considering Living as a Demon, my third released work here on Royal Road (following Not a Manga and Mr. Familiar)! Let's set some expectations, shall we? • Not much hard profanity (chapter 1 is the exception!)• Human MC! Our protagonist is a bona fide homo sapiens. Which is not to say there won't be demons, demonic powers, and what-have-you, but this isn't some grimdark exploration of the life and times of a nihilistic, amoral killing machine.• Slice of life. My previous works always ended up there, so might as well get ahead of the curve!• Weekly updates, and a completed story: I will post a single chapter per week on Wednesdays until the story is complete (extra chapters are rare, but do happen).
